Demyan

I knocked on the hotel suite's door with trembling hands as I held a large bouquet of sunflowers and Ethan's birthday present. I was already crying because I knew what his reaction was going to be but I was just praying that maybe he would have the heart to hear me out.

I heard the latch of the door open before it was pulled open. Ethan stood in the doorway, dressed in a suit, his shirt unbuttoned and a loose tie around his neck. His hair was a complete mess and by his bloodshot eyes I knew he had been crying. When his eyes laid sight of me his look of exhaustion turned to that of irritation.

"Demyan, I'm really not in the mood," he sighed already about to close the door on me but I quickly held the door open.

"Ethan please," I begged as tears brimmed my eyes, "I'm so sorry. Please just let me explain."
