His Doubt

Ethan

I looked at my watch for the hundredth time with an irritated pout. Leave it to Igor to be thirty minutes late to a lunch he organised!

I was seated at a skyscraper tower restaurant in Berlin, Germany as I constantly looked out of the window to the busy streets. I wished he had picked a more private setting but Igor always loved attention whilst I seemed to shy away from it completely. Constantly people stared and a few women had already passed to have a friendly chat and a quick greet.

Only if they knew I was completely tied to Demyan would they stop in their tracks immediately. Demyan was the greatest exception in my life. It had been four days since I last saw him and I missed him terribly. Sometimes I wished our lives were less complicated and he could travel with me. That after a terrible meeting I would go straight to the hotel and find him waiting for me.
