Demyan

"Demyan, don't forget your lunch with Malia," Kyla quickly popped her head into my office and I was quick to nod.

It was one of the rare days Malia was willing to go out and about in down with her swollen feet so I had to take the opportunity with both hands. I switched off my computer then headed to the garage before I quickly drove to Nicole's apartment. Malia said she would be there today so I knew where to pick her up.

"Hi Demyan," Nicole opened the door with a smile.

"Hi Nicole," I bounced on my feet, "I'm here to collect Malia."

"Malia?" her eyebrows furrowed, "She's not here."

"She said she'd be here for the day," I frowned.

She shook her head, "She hasn't been here the whole day. Maybe she- well you know how Malia is. Who knows she might be a barista again."

I let out a groan and ran my fingers through my hair, "I'm sorry for disturbing you. I'll call her."
