The First Boss Raid [1]

Everyone looked at Jack since he was the leader.

He waited for a moment before deciding.

Leo looked at Jack, waiting for his order. Jack looked at him back and gave him a mocking smile.

"Come on, it is finally your time," Jack said to Leo.

Leo looked fearfully toward the third floor. His guts were telling him to run away but he couldn't.

Then under Follower 1's threats, Leo led everyone to the third floor.

As soon as they stepped into the third floor, they were met with an overwhelming number of goblins. The offices and control rooms' walls were completely shattered and crumbled. The floor was covered with debris, blood, and bones. The air was filled with a foul stench and a deafening noise. The third floor was in total ruins.

Then they looked at the other side of the floor. In an office room chair, a goblin was sitting while chewing meat. It was the boss of the third floor. The Goblin Chief.

The Goblin Chief was twice as big as a normal goblin, with bulging muscles and scars all over its body. It had a pair of horns on its head and a long tail behind it. It wore crude armor made of metal scraps and leather straps. It held a huge axe in one hand and a severed rat head in the other. It looked at them with a wicked grin, showing its yellow teeth and red eyes.

Leo instantly recognized the rat head, it was the Rat King's head. {Is that why I didn't see Rat King's body on the second floor?} Leo thought.

Then he quickly used [Identify] on the Goblin Chief.

Leo's hands trembled as he read the Chief's status. {It is at least two times stronger than the Rat King!} He thought.

Leo didn't notice Jack looking at him and coming from behind.

"Go, distract the goblin archers, coward!"

Suddenly Leo found himself flying toward the archers, he then saw Jack looking at him with a smug. Leo's veins bulged as he looked at Jack with hatred and anger. "You bastard!"

"Come on, Joe and Lily, you two take the left side, I will take the right." Jack ignored Leo and started to instruct his subordinates: Follower 1 and Seductive companion.

"Of course, honey. Be careful." The woman replied charmingly.

"Leave it to me, boss!" Follower 1 shouted.

"You coward! You stay here and protect the healer. You! You will go with me!" Jack said glaring at the young man and the other third man.

"Hieok! Yes!" They replied.

"Now, fight!" Jack yelled and sprinted forward toward the goblins.

The other followed his order and followed after him.

Leo's POV.

I landed on the floor with a thud, rolling to avoid the impact. Then quickly got up and faced the two goblin archers who were aiming at me with their bows.

I didn't have time to think. I hurriedly threw my dagger at one of them and cast a fireball at the other.

The dagger hit the goblin in the eye, killing it instantly. The fireball hit the other goblin in the chest, burning it alive.

Thankfully, they were level 2, I was able to insta kill them.

"Stealth!" I instantly activated the stealth before other goblin archers noticed me.

I retrieved the dagger and wiped it on the goblin's clothes. I looked around and saw that the others were fighting the goblins.

Jack and his two followers were on the right side, facing a group of goblin warriors and four lv3 archers. Jack was swinging his sword with skill and strength, cutting down goblins left and right. His follower was supporting him with a fireball from time to time.

I had to agree he was strong, but he made a bad choice attacking me. I smiled as I looked at the notification window in front of me.

[Your teammate has attacked with malicious intent.]

[It is detected your teammate is also a Killer.]

[You can freely counterattack him. There will be no penalties. You may even gain Reputation Points by defeating him.]

Since I knew the game rules, I couldn't attack him head-on. (Of course, I wasn't afraid. He had a gang too!)

I hurriedly picked up the goblin's arrow and marked Jack and pulled the strings.

Waiting for the right moment, I let go of the strings. With a swish, the arrow flew toward Jack at a fast speed.

Jack maybe sensed danger and looked at his back, but the arrow was already in front of him.

Splurt! The arrow pierced through his forearm as he managed to defend his vital spot in time.

Then he looked in my direction and saw two goblin archers dead and made an irritated face. "Tch! That coward ran away?"

He pulled out the arrow and fastly stabbed his right side, the arrow pierced the goblin's skull that was about to attack him.

What the Hell! Does he have eyes on his back? And he isn't even in pain! Wait?! He has the Pain Resistance after all.

But thankfully, he can't see me. And since he thinks that I escaped, it will be easy to proceed with my plan.

Which is to wait here, in a safe place. When the right moment arrives, then strike!

I stealthily walked toward the goblin archers while observing Jack who started to fight more brutally.
