Ero Myth: Godly Gacha System

*MATURE CONTENT *NO NTR Earth awakened a system. Humankind mutated because of the mana, and the system graded them differently according to their physique. The chain of command on Earth changed drastically. Stronger folks went up the scale of power, and every young person wanted to become powerful like their TV idols. But not all of it was rainbow and sunshine. Earth had been one of the last planets who awakened the system, so its power was way behind the other civilizations. 23rd of May of 2134, the year humankind fell. A civilization from another planet came and conquered Earth. Their powers were just too grand, and humankind could not survive. The reason for the invasion was simple: land and energy. When Earth awakened the system and mana, the entire planet suffered mutations. Powerful beasts and rare ores were all over the planet, and the alien civilizations wanted that! Zephyr Caspian had just turned 18 — the awakening age — when the invasion happened. A beautiful woman, Zephyr’s mother, placed him inside a special ship, one that had the power to freeze his body till he found a planet to land at. “Zephyr, get inside this ship, it will lead you out of the planet. Please, my son, you need to survive!” An older man was beside the woman. He had a box in hands. “My grandson, this is the inheritance I’ll give you. Take care of it, and make a good use.” “Mother, grandfather, come with me! Please!” Zephyr begged. Only one person could get inside the ship. Zephyr’s grandfather knocked him out cold, and tossed him inside the ship, thinking to himself it was the only way to save his grandson. Zephyr landed on a primitive planet, and his spaceship was destroyed, making him unable to leave the planet until he restored it. But gladly, the inheritance he got from his grandfather had its use! A special key which allowed him to enter a tavern where the Gods went for a drink and a chat. Missions from the Gods gave Zephyr points to use a type of Gacha System! Thor's Quest, and First Time Hunting

The four levels gained also changed my constitution. Attributes increased based on the physique rank. Mine was D. A person with a C rank would get more attributes per level.

Would it mean that I would never get as strong as someone who has a better rank? Not necessarily. A person would upgrade the physique rank and go from D to C, for example, and the attributes would increase when the change happened.

Also, each physique was different. Some people gained more strength points, more agility, and so on. Each level was different too! Depending on how you leveled up, the number of attributes gained would differ.

That was what made the system so unique and mysterious at the same time. No one could predict the number of points, and there was no consensus on what the best way to level was up.

I checked my attributes, and all of them had increased with the four levels I gained. The attributes that increased the most were agility and faith, and that was quite unique. As far as I knew, a person with high faith was rare, but that didn't mean the attribute was the best. It was all up to the types of abilities and skills one learned.

Anyway, after completing Aphrodite's quest, I didn't have another quest, so I tried to get one before leaving the tavern. There were a few gods around, and I hoped that some of them wanted to help me.

Out of everyone I met, Thor looked to be the coolest of them. Loki wasn't that fond of me, and Zeus was just not trustworthy. So, I walked around the tavern looking for Thor.

He was not inside the tavern itself, but right outside in a place that looked like a stable. He was lying on the hay with lots of drinks around him.

Thor realized I was there the moment I stepped inside the stable. His senses — despite being as drunk as he was — were impressive.

"What are you doing here, kid?" he asked.

I sat beside him, and said, "Could you help me get stronger? I mean, you must've heard that Aphrodite is helping me out with missions."

He gulped his ale, "Yeah, I've heard about that. I don't know this system thing work, but it's quite mysterious, isn't it? But why should I help you?"

The only way for me to convince Thor was just telling him the truth. He looked like a noble warrior that wouldn't laugh or share the personal information with anyone, so I just shared what happened to me.

I shared how Earth got invaded by aliens, how I ended up on a foreign planet, and now I just want to become more powerful to leave and find my way home. He listened to all of it, and I saw his expression changing multiple times throughout the story.

"That's quite the sad story," he said. "I'll help you. For me, you're a warrior for enduring all of this."

I couldn't believe it when I heard it. All I could do was bow and say thanks. Then, he gave me a mission.

[Thor's Quest.]

[Produce your own alcoholic drink.]

That was a weird quest. Surprisingly, I thought that Aphrodite's quest had been way easier than that. How could I produce a drink in that remote village that barely had anything?

Well, I didn't complain. I left the tavern, returning to my bedroom inside Steward's house. It was quiet. The night was beautiful with many stars in the sky. I looked through the window for a while before falling asleep.

I woke up excited the next morning. After some bread for breakfast and cow's milk, I left the house and meet up with the other hunters from the village.

Luna's father had some weapons inside their house, and she gave me a wooden bow and a dagger.

"Take it. I don't want you to go to the woods without a weapon to protect yourself," she said.

That was sweet of her. I accepted the gift and left the village. The person in charge of the hunting groups was called Rhakar, and he was a brute man with 2 meters of height and a muscular body. He was scary.

"We will divide ourselves in pairs, and each person will go in a different direction. Remember, we need as much food as we can get before winter comes," Rhakar said.

Everyone knew each other there, so the pairs were quickly formed. They knew me too, but that was the problem. The hunters knew I was not skilled, so going with me would make their life much harder.

Out of everyone present, a woman came toward me and offered some help.

"I can go with you, if you want," she said.

I didn't know her. In fact, that was the first time I was seeing her, but she looked quite friendly and was willing to help me when no one else wanted.

"Are you sure?" I said. "You know that I suck at hunting."

She laughed. "Everyone sucks at hunting on their first try. It's not like any of the hunters here were born with the skill."

"Yes, you're right about that. Well, thank you for this."

"No problem. I'm Yula."

"Zephyr."

We went to the northwest together, and on the way through the forest, she explained many things to me, and also asked many things.

"So you are the outsider who appeared a while ago, right? I'm impressed by how well you can speak in such a short time. You are a genius," Yula said.

"I've never seen you around." I said. "Do you live somewhere else or something?"

The number of tasks I did for the villagers was high, and I've never seen her at all. That was weird.

"I live in a cabin outside of the village. It's rare the times I go visit," she said.

"Really?"

The more I talked to her, the more mysterious she turned out to be. Anyway, she showed me the different tracks I should look for while hunting, and what the distant noises meant.

We were tracking a deer together when I decided to use my new skill. It was just incredible. I could see the tracks way more clearly. The vegetation, the dirty, the low light, nothing could stop me.

I was confident in becoming the best hunter in the village with the help of that skill.
