- A New Beginning

When Zex opened his eyes, he saw the keepers meditating as if to recover the mana they lost throughout the process.

The head keeper, Firr, still had an exhausted face when he approached him.

"How long has it been?" Zex inquired.

Firr smiled wearily as he answered: "3 Days."

Zex was startled at the length of time that the process took and it answered why everyone looked so exhausted. He believed that if it was not ordered by the king, such a technique wouldn't be used so easily. After all, in 3 days, he experienced more than 4 decades worth of memories. Talk about a marathon.

He explained his condition to Firr and after a few tests, they exchanged pleasantries before bidding farewell. It was at this point when Drago shot a glance in Elik's direction.

"It seems you have fully recovered." Elik said as he stepped into the light.

Drago nodded before extending his hand. "Thank you for watching over me, Sir Elik."

Elik's hand slipped out from the long cloak he was wearing and shook Drago's hand with a smile. "Unfortunately, we lost the others, but I am personally glad that you have returned to us alive."

Drago wore a solemn expression as he looked straight into Elik's eyes. "What is the King's plan regarding the demon?"

Elik cast an isolation barrier around them and explained the current situation of the kingdom.

After a few exchanges of information, and when the skill learning process completed, they bid farewell to each other as Zex greeted Eva who went with him to the castle 3 days ago and rode a carriage towards Dhana's flower shop.

When the carriage arrived, Zex stepped out and saw a slender young woman with auburn hair wearing a commoner's dress. Her beauty was not entirely out of the ordinary but she had the air of purity and gracefulness that her late mother exuded.

"Godfather!" Dhana beamed as she saw Zex and ran up to hug him.

Mastering every aspect of Drago's essence, Zex proceeded to rub Dhana's hair and asked her how she was doing.

"I'm doing fine. Sir Troy has been helping me with the shop... Ah, there he is now."

A tall man older than Drago with a prosthetic leg rushed up to him and saluted. "Greetings! Captain!"

Zex wore a strange smile in response as he saw the bodyguard wearing an apron with a flower design on it. "At ease. Where is Shea?" He said as he looked around unable to see the other bodyguard he assigned to watch over Dhana.

"Hey! You know her, cap. It is either she is having a drinking contest or riding a boy's di----dis---discussion. Right." Troy started off uncaring until he remembered that Dhana was around.

"Ewww. Sir Troy!" Dhana screamed in playful disgust.

"What? I didn't say anything!" Troy laughed.

Zex smiled at their interaction.

"How's the leg holding up?" Zex asked with a solemn and guilty face.

Troy just scratched his balding head as he knocked on the leg replacing the one he lost all those years ago.

"Well! If I hadn't lost my leg trying to save your ass back then, I might have lost my life on the battlefield years ago. You gave me an easy job like this, why should I complain?" Troy laughed.

Zex smiled as he turned to look at Dhana who wore a faint smile. "How are you holding up? For real this time."

"Did father die a heroic death?" Dhana asked trying to hold back her tears.

Looking at her, Zex did not know if it was his or Drago's emotions he absorbed that caused him to feel a tinge of pain in his heart. He hasn't confirmed yet if Edge was dead or not but everyone else believed that he did.

He could only nod and say yes.

As he did so, Dhana could no longer hold her tears and cry into Zex's chest as he hugged her.

Zex tried to invite her back to the Grussiva mansion but Dhana wanted to watch over the flower shop.

After saying a few words to Troy, he left with Eva and returned to the mansion, secluding himself in his room.

"Time to check my gains."

"The overclocked blood is gone but the unstable mana debuff is still there. At least my body has reached peak shape and is no longer hindered. However, [Draconic Manifestation] is still greyed out. For some reason, having no trump card transformation available is bothering me a lot. Am I turning into Frieza? [1]" Drago thought out loud to himself as he was going over all the new skills, classes, and items that he gained.

Among all the classes he gained, he had 2 legendary classes with 3 subclasses each and despite them being leveled already, his level returned to 0 thanks to [Soul Swap] and was not adjusted to the total levels of his subclasses. This was one of the side-effects of the forbidden spell. If he maxed every class in the future and then used [Soul Swap]. he might no longer have a chance to level up.

The good thing about it is that all the spent attribute points get refunded. The downside is that he doesn't get the points to all stats per level-up. If he wasn't careful, he might end up losing out on a lot of stat points.

Unfortunately, he could not level [Dragon Warrior] any further for the time being. He believed that he needed to increase the purity of his dragon blood to continue leveling it up. Instead, he leveled both [Dragon Tamer] and [Dragon Mystic] to level 8 while leveling [Death Blade], [Death Chanter], and [Death Knight] to level 9. With the [Agent of Death] subclasses each needing more than 4 billion experience to reach level 10, he knew that he wouldn't be able to reach that level anytime soon.

He also leveled up other subclasses from various classes he accumulated, only stopping when he reached Level 150.

Because he leveled up a lot of subclasses, he gained a lot of skills, too much that he had to take ample time sorting them out by taking references from the systems from Skyrim, Grim Dawn, Dragon Age, Kingdoms of Amalur, Risen, and many more. [2]

He planned to modify these skills to fit his preferences and separate those that he may not use immediately from the ones that he would. Playing Dungeon Fighter Online in his previous life helped him greatly in this regard. [3]

Although he was not a genius like Arissef, playing Invoker in DotA or Aphelios in League of Legends somehow made things easier for him to manage and use multiple abilities in quick succession and precise timings to some extent. [4][5]

Two of the most eye-catching skills he gained were [Draconian Overlord] which he gained when [Dragon Tamer] reached level 5, and [Draconian Knowledge] when [Dragon Mystic] reached level 5 as well.

With these formats, he deduced that when Drago reached level 5 as a [Dragon Warrior], he must have gained the [Draconian Might] skill which increased his overall stats and resistance multipliers.

[Draconian Overlord] gave him a large bonus to his charm stat and increases the chance of taming a creature with dragon blood disregarding levels.

[Draconian Knowledge], on the other hand, not only gave him bonus multipliers for both Intelligence and Wisdom, but also gave him the ability to speak, read, and write Draconic language and symbols.

With the various bonuses given by the numerous classes and the increase of proficiency with his dragon blood from leveling up the other 2 subclasses, his stats skyrocketed, surpassing some of his stats during [True Name Liberation].

[1] Frieza is a character from Dragon Ball Z who has multiple forms that he resorts to depending on the situation.

[2] These are all open-world action role-playing games that have a massive number of skills belonging to different skill trees. In the mentioned games, players can customize their own characters from their appearance to their skillsets.

[3] Dungeon Fighter Online or DFO is a beat 'em up action role-playing game where players can set multiple skills in key shortcuts or input commands to activate moves making them cost less MP and have a lower cooldown. A ton of mechanics are available in the game like skill canceling, I-frames or Invincible-frames, skill rotation efficiency, and many more, demanding a high APM or Actions Per Minute (Number of effective keys pressed or clicks per minute) to pull off insane combos and challenge very difficult content at the later part of the game. It has been argued that the game, Glory, in the widely popular 'The King's Avatar' is loosely based on Dungeon Fighter Online.

[4] Carl, the Invoker, is arguably the most complicated hero to use in DotA due to him having 14 spells in total. by combining 3 spells in a certain order using his ultimate, he can cast 1 unique spell out of 10.

[5] Aphelios, the Weapon of the Faithful, is a champion from League of Legends who wields 5 weapons, being able to switch between 2 weapons at a time until they run out of ammunition and switched out to a different weapon. Each weapon has different attack modes and animations and has one unique ability each, while affecting his ultimate in different ways. Each combination also has a different interaction effect depending on which main weapon is being used. After calculation, Aphelios technically has 22 unique abilities.
