A Terrifying Silence.

"Do you think she would be fine though?" Liang Guohua asked breaking the silence between them.

Qin Lixin snorted. "Instead of worrying about your friend, you are worried about a stranger."

"Well, because if you are able to use your mind to pass such comments, there is definitely nothing wrong with you." Liang Guohua patted his friend's back with a smirk.

"I agree. If you would have really brought the girl out even after knowing that she was just in-between the shoot, the first thing I would have done was to bring you to the hospital." Yang Feiyu earnestly assured his friend. "Saving or helping someone are just antonyms with you. Completely unlike you."

"I can't tell how much shocked I had been when I saw you swimming towards the drowning person." Xu Haotian said while re-imagining the scene all over again in his mind. He asked as he punched his friend's shoulder. "What exactly has gotten into you at that time?"

Qin Lixin drew his eyes away from Xu Haotian and momentarily looked at the sea. He was not planning to do anything but the second he saw the face of the girl when she turned to jump in the sea, that one moment arose something...like a magnetic force that instantly lured him towards the girl.

F***!!!

He had really gone crazy today! What his mind was thinking again??

Qin Lixin annoyingly turned around and started moving towards the port after indignantly saying, "Whatever, stop now."

His friends stared at each other and then shrugged.

"He is weird today."

"Maybe his mother's tactics have started affecting him in some other way."

"Young Master Qin." As they walked out of the port and came into a huge parking lot, Assistant Fang; who was his mother's personal assistant greeted him. He looked at the three friends walking beside him and nodded at them as well.

Qin Lixin looked at several cars lined behind Assistant Fang. As expected of his efficiency, he even managed to gather chauffeur of all the families in a short time. "This way, Young Master Qin. Madam Qin is waiting for your call."

Qin Lixin stopped himself from rolling his eyes and slowly turned around while exhaling deeply. "I will be going first then. See you guys later."

Liang Guohua nodded at him. "Sure."

Qin Lixin brought out his hand to give a fist bump to each one of them before walking away with Assistant Fang. Yang Feiyu called out when he had gone a bit far, "Make sure to not stay in wet clothes for a long time in remembrance of the history you were about to make today!"

Qin Lixin looked irritated but he continued to walk without turning back, "Annoying."

Assistant Fang silently looked at the drenched back of Qin Lixin and then at the far end on the left side. Multiple vanity vans were parked there and a small crowd of crew members were loading props in those vans. He had a small smile apparent on his face as he continued following Qin Lixin's lead.

"Why is my mom suddenly calling me back? Wasn't she in France for a business meeting?" Qin Lixin asked as soon as he sat in the car.

He really wanted to know what excuse he would be given this time for the embarrassment he was made to go through.

"Madam Qin is still in France. Young Master, would you like to first change those clothes?" Assistant Fang calmly asked him as he pointed at his clothes.

Qin Lixin got irked by the question. He tightly shut his eyes and moved his hand through his wet hair however opened them suddenly to gaze deeply at Assistant Fang. "You can't let mom know of what happened today."

"What are you talking about, Young Master?"

"I know that you know everything, Assistant Fang!" Qin Lixin pressurised each word angrily.

"I don't seem to understand what you mean, Young Master." Assistant Fang answered steadily with a small smile.

Seeing that smile, Qin Lixin heaved a sigh and leaned back on his seat while looking out of the window. "So what is it this time?" This time his voice came out very tired.

"Young Master, let us stop by a mall first to get you changed and then we would be heading to the hospital."

Qin Lixin furrowed his brows and asked impassively, "Hospital? Why? Again some business partner of ours got admitted into hospital?"

"This time it is Old Master Su."

Qin Lixin's face instantly turned pale, "W-why?"

Zhao Yuhui looked at the building in front of her. It was almost three in the morning and she wasn't sure if her mother was up or sleeping. If she would be sleeping then it meant that this day still had something good stored for her. However, chances of that were as slim as her getting the role of lead actress in 'Depth Of You'.

'Depth Of You' was an upcoming high-budget movie that was being produced by Glimmer Entertainment and it was already predicted to be the highest-grossing movie of the upcoming year.

Since it was adapted from a novel of the same name that had a very strong line-up of characters, everyone was looking forward to the cast of this film which was going to be selected in a few months.

Being a fan of this novel, she also had a desire to secure that role for herself but she knew that it was impossible when all the A-list actresses had also kept their eye on it.

Moreover, they had immense connections which she certainly lacked.

Sighing exhaustedly, Zhao Yuhui moved inside the building and took the elevator. Being a struggling actor was hard, the only thing that could be done was to work hard tirelessly.

When the lift reached her floor and as she was about to take her foot out, she stopped.

The corridor was abiding in a terrifying silence and darkness. Even the lights falling on the surface from the opposite building were not proving to be of any help. She was already anxious from inside because of her mother and this stillness seemed to be giving her the exact warning to not return tonight.

It was just the corridor she was stepping in, what would happen when she would get inside her home?

Ahhh!

Why did it feel as if she was about to keep her feet inside the lion's den? She thought while frustratedly ruffling her hair.

Oh right! Because her mother was no less than any lion. She trudged to her apartment door having no other option. Why her mother had to be so scary?

Zhao Yuhui entered the password gently and with immense caution turned the knob of the door to open it just enough to be able to peek inside. She rotated her eyeballs in all the angles however the light of the lounge was off. Retracting, she closed the door behind her. It was bad.

It was really bad!!
