Chapter 54 They've Found It!

　　As Elaine followed Lonn outside the capital, rain began to pour down from the sky.

　　The heavy rain made it difficult for her to see, and she struggled to keep up with Lonn as they made their way forward.

　　From the moment she agreed to the plan, Elaine knew there was no turning back. She had to see it through, for the sake of herself and her children.

　　According to the plan, they needed to leave the capital first.

　　"This way," Lonn said, pointing towards a small door on the ground that Elaine wouldn't have noticed if he hadn't opened it.

　　The door led to a narrow tunnel, which descended down a flight of stairs. Elaine hesitated, then followed Lonn down. He pulled out a flashlight and illuminated their path.

　　"Where are we going?" Elaine asked.

　　"We're going down the tunnel, then over a wall," Lonn replied. "After that, we'll make our way through the woods to a cabin. We'll need to run for hours without stopping, so I hope you're up for it."
