Eneas picked up Penelope in the afternoon with the Amaru within the area of the Captaincy building. Eneas had already reserved a charming restaurant and a room in a small resort on the banks of the Styx River, a tourist and secluded area two hours by flight from Elysium.
They went out and had fun away from the media spotlight, and then relaxed at the resort. It's not that the boys forgot that they were at war; it was a matter of mental survival, living with the realization that perhaps they wouldn't have another opportunity to enjoy themselves like the young twenty-something they were. They had the right to enjoy life, even if it was a fleeting, ephemeral and perhaps superficial moment in the view of many.
