1A-8: A huge change of pace

Issac stretched and yawned waking up in his bed like normal. Except something was different. Extremely different. He felt something awakening in his bones he hadn't felt since he was a child. He looked over at the phone. 7:30 AM. He hadn't gotten this good of sleep in awhile, and he wouldn't be late to his lectures if he hurried! He slightly smiled as he hopped out of bed and got dressed. He was feeling more energetic than usual, and wanted to take advantage of his extremely happy mood.

The first thing he did was head straight to school. He jumped gleefully and waved to the driver. The driver looked at him confused, rightfully so.

"Something is up… did you get high or something?"

"Nope! Not in a hot minute I haven't!"

"Right… this better not be a long ride."

As soon as the shuttle arrived, he jumped off and ran for his classes. Each professor seemed equally surprised that he was actually making an effort to attend class.

"What's gotten into you?"

"I just feel like I can do anything now! Try me, give me an assignment, a pop quiz- no, the final exam!!!"

"Er, maybe just start by sitting down so we can start…"

Issac sat through each and every lecture, never diverting his attention away, taking notes diligently, and never even once thinking about walking out. His peers were just as baffled as him. Was this single change enough to completely change his attitude?

Actually, yes. Yes it was.

Being loved by someone and loving them back I'd one thing, but to reunite with them after so long… it's such a legendary feeling that can only be described as suffocatingly wonderful. He didn't even feel entirely like himself. He knew this wasn't like him, and he loved it. For once, his mind didn't fight the change. For the longest time, he hadn't smiled, and now he was doing it out of pure joy! He loved it!
