Chapter 27 - Eris Boreas Greyrat

After a while, Phillip brought us to introduce Eris. I'm still reluctant to have a relationship with someone like her since my age is a lot older than her and the reason why I like Roxy and Ghislaine is because their age is close to mine. Though, I can't deny that she's someone that could be worthwhile if you manage to tame her. Still I'm conflicted on how to view our relationship in the future but at least I can change her.

Hopefully she won't be in love with me if I did that…dammit I'm raising a flag am I?

"Is there something bothering you, Reinhard?"

"Rein is enough, Lord Philip. I'm quite alright, just a bit taken aback by the people in the mansion."

"Ah it's because our family is quite fond of the beastman race."

The Boreas family was known for their interest in the beastman race and having a handful of them serving their family. Though, I cannot deny the uniqueness of their taste was interesting to say the least. Thankfully, they're not full on furry. Moments later, we soon arrived and opened the door to reveal my fiance. 

The girl, who was 2 years older than us, was a little taller than Rudy and the same height as me. She had blazing red hair that was strikingly distinctive.

I can see that her aura was truly that of a tsundere and wild spoiled young girl who hadn't been hit with the cruel reality of life. This isn't going to be the first time I'll work with someone like her. Rudeus first one to introduce himself, demonstrating the proper noble's greeting. He slid his left foot back while bowing slightly with his right hand on his chest.

"Pleased to meet you, Lady Eris. I am Rudeus Greyrat." 

He spoke softly and politely, wanting to establish a good relationship with the person he was going to protect. However, he would not have known this polite tone he took had the opposite effect of what he intended.

The red haired girl folded arms with dissatisfaction and looked at Rudeus with undisguised conceit. 

"Hmph!! This small, weak guy is supposed to be my Tutor? He's younger than me!? And that one is going to guard me when I already have Ghislaine by my side!? Is this some kind of joke? I bet I can beat him up myself!"

"I don't think age matters. There is something I can do that lady Eris can't."

"Lady Eris, I assure you I am more than capable of this responsibility. I might not be able to match up with Ghislaine, but I-"

"What did you say!? You dare to argue with me!? Insolent!"

After yelling out those words, Eris stepped forward and swung her palm at me first. I inwardly sighed knowing exactly what she was about to do.

I had seen through her intentions from the moment she took a step forward, even before she raised her hand, and he was more than capable of avoiding it if he wished. Young Eris was a difficult girl to tame and I couldn't just discipline us because it could revoke my plans in this place. 

However, without much thinking moved to dodges the attack surprised Eris from my speed thinking that I wasn't paying attention.

"How dare you dodge it! Take this!"

This time it was not a slap anymore, instead, the unruly girl had thrown a fist instead. What a violent young girl, at this rest their family would collapse if she became their only heiress. 

"You-! Stop dodging!" 

Eris became even wilder with her attacks, resorting to kicks and scratches, anything that could possibly hurt me she used.

'She's really energetic like how the show portrays her to be. I still can't believe she went from this into a sword King.'

I did not have difficulty dodging the slow and weak blows from a 9 year old girl even if he did not use Battle Aura. But that did not mean he wasn't annoyed with her wildfulness. Though I remained calm and collective throughout it all even saw my brother move to the side for cover.

'Stop praying you rascal!'

I exclaimed seeing my brother doing something ridiculous. 

'Well, I don't need to beat her to make her submit.'

With that thought, I narrowed my eyes and injected mana into his legs. The next moment, he had already appeared behind Eris, before snatching her wrist that had been in mid-air while using his leg to trip her.

"Eep!"

Eris squealed cutely as she fell, but I quickly controlled her fall so that she would not get hurt from hitting the floor. She was almost gently guided down by me to lay on the ground with her stomach facing down. With Eris' wrist in his grip, I held it behind her back while pushing down on Eris' shoulder to hold her down.

"Lady Eris, please calm down." 

I advised firmly, but the noble girl frantically resisted while screaming 'Let me go, let me go!' and trying to force her way out of my grip. I turned to ask if there was anyone who could help and saw Philip shrugged helplessly. 

When Eris got like this, only Sauros and Ghislaine could pull her back. I recalled that she wouldn't even care if her own father scolded her. Ghislaine on the other hand just looked on with indifference. Eris was her disciple as well. She did not want to intervene and show favouritism to either of them. 

Besides, if she helped me, then Eris would not respect him at all because she thought that If I wanted to serve as her bodyguard, he would need to resolve this on his own.

However it was difficult when she was unruly, violent and incredibly temperamental. Judging from how Philip looked helpless to her antics, I could  tell that she had been spoiled rotten. When I caught a glimpse of my brother quickly saw that he had an idea. While I thought of perhaps I could ask Ghislaine to spar with me and show my strength.

"Lady Eris! We are civilized here, couldn't we just talk?"

I tried reasoning with her but she was too ferrell. I realized that as long as Eris was being held like this, she would not listen to anything I was going to say. So I had no choice but to let her go.

Right as he loosened his grip, Eris immediately kicked at him with her leg while springing up to punch him.

"You're dead!"

She screamed and quickly went after me while I just remained observing her movement. Perhaps it would be worthwhile to teach her my technique to see how well she could reach it. 

'She actually has pretty good instincts.' 

I thought while observing her as I easily evaded the kick and the punch.

"Listen, in the first place you were unhappy because you thought I was weak. I have an idea to show you my strength."

"I don't care! Just let me hit you!"

She shot back, the furious look on her face growing angrier with every hit she missed.

"Let me make you a deal. I will spar with Master Ghislaine. And at the end, if you still do not think I am strong enough to protect you, I will let you punch me and leave Roa immediately."

I'm fairly certain that I could even defeat Ghislaine if I wanted but that's only when I took her seriously. Eris stopped moving. She thought about it for a moment and put up five fingers.

"Five times. Let me punch you five times first."

"It's that all? Go ahea-"

Before he even finished speaking, Eris had already thrown a punch at my face. I merely turned my face to the left and covered his body in Battle Aura. The moment Eris' fist struck my mana enhanced cheek, she immediately cried out in pain while pulling back her hand and cradling her knuckles.

As if I'll let her hit me as she pleases, I'm not a masochist. I may not be able to hurt her but at least she can hurt herself. 

"It hurts! What the heck, why is your face so tough!"

She whined.

'Even if I told her about Battle Aura, she probably wouldn't understand it…' 

"Because I am strong."

"Hmph, I don't believe you! Take this!" 

Eris punched his face again, only to recoil in pain once more. Not willing to give up, she growled like a wild beast and punched again and again, only to receive even more pain for her efforts.

I teasingly smiled. I didn't even feel any pain from her punches. It would only hurt if she was reinforcing her punches with mana. Suddenly, Eris' eyes sharpened and she swung her leg. This time, she had actually aimed a kick at my genitals!

This is really a girl doing a desperate move in attacking my family jewels but I didn't even care and gritted her teeth when I still remained unfazed while the men like my brother and Philip wince in pain. 

She immediately jumped and twisted her body in mid air in order to deliver a spinning back kick to my jaw with her other leg. I merely let the force flow by removing the force and could even send it back if I wanted but I didn't want to severely hurt her. Though, her kick just now had some Touki within them that would have broken my jaw if I hadn't reinforced it with my own.

"Lady Eris. That was the fifth attack."

"I know! A deal is a deal. I won't quibble with you over this. But remember what you said! If I am not satisfied after you fight my Ghislaine, then you have to let me punch you more and you will leave Roa immediately!"

In this matter, I felt confident since I wanted to test out my serious mode against Ghislaine. I won't go into my [ Godspeed mode ] and would only use the basic form of [ Magia Erebea ]. 

"That is indeed what I said, Lady Eris."

"Hmph! Very well. Then let's go!"

Eris left the room and everyone followed after her. She had completely swept over all the adults and I to go along with her pace. I shook my head as he walked behind the girl while Rudeus went to talk with Philip and followed us later. 

"Lord Philip, difficult is really an underselling thing."

"Right, I can see why her tutor would quit after meeting her."

"Hehehe sorry, she's just been spoiled rotten by father and I. Hopefully it doesn't discourage you from getting along with her, especially you, Rein."

"I can't say for certain but if she were to face hardship like getting kidnapped or something then it might show her a bit of reality."

"Oh, you're brother thought of the same and I believe it could work."

"I gotta say that you're both lucky and unlucky to have two women. I can't imagine being in your shoes, Rein."

"Yeah, Yeah, I'll try my best to tame her."

I'll try to make her change since Rudeus doesn't seem to have the slightest interest in her and feels like grandfather is the one doing this. Though, I'm eager to see if I would be kidnap with them since I could try marking them and taking control of an organization.  

I've already gained the ability to hypnotize anyone and give them suggestions by using Mana to rewire their mind into thinking I am their master. These of course only work like how I puppeteer their body and need to get into their brain. I could even trapped someone in an illusion of hallucinations which was useful when torturing someone. 

"Come on! I can't wait to see you lose!"

Eris remarked while we arrived at the training ground. I just gave her a little smirk since it would be worth seeing her smug face grumble.
