CHAPTER 1

ARCHER'S POV

I looked at his extended hand and ignored it.

"Good to see you Donny." I replied and looked away.

Yes. Donny Eric. Lake Lullaby High School's most popular, cutest jerk. Plus, Hazel's boyfriend and my never ending nightmare. I don't know what about me that makes him feel infuriating and bullying me is a more entertaining sport than soccer. He withdrew his hand and whispered to my ears.

"Don't begin now punk. The session just began. Don't start it with a fist full of trashing. I'm doing my best to be kind to you for the sake of my baby over there." He said pointing to the door.

At first, what came to my mind was that he's gotten a baby or something. But when I looked up, there before the door stood adorable, angelic and beautifully made Hazel leaning against the door post and looking at me straight in the eyes. I gulped as her crystal blue eyes pierced through me deep down to my soul making my heart skip a beat.

"So. Got that?" Donny said tapping my shoulder and walking up to her. He wrapped his arms around her waist taking her away with him as he looked back and winked at me. I squeezed my fist feeling the uncontrollable jealousy raging within me.

Ruby placed her hand on my clentched fist and I turned to her. "Stop it Arch. You made a promise to forget about her. It shouldn't get to you." She said softly. I nodded and took a deep breath. She's right. I've got to focus on my new session resolution and get along with it. No need hoping for someone who doesn't even know you exist. Exactly. I was pretty sure I was non existent to her when she's got boys like jerky Donny hovering around her. Plus, she's way too proud for my liking. I don't do such girls.

Everything went through like a blur till lunch time. I left Ruby with her friends and left for the cafeteria. The hallways were shining and sparkling with refurbishment. I inhaled the fresh scent and smiled.

"Appealing right?" I heard a soft voice say and I turned sharply to my left. There she was again. Was she stalking me? "Not something you get to feel everyday." She said still leaning against her locker her gaze locked up with mine. I wanted to say something but my tongue was stuck in my throat.

I smiled and walked away towards the cafeteria taking a deep breath. I wasn't ready for this encounter not just yet. I walked in and took a plate about to step into the waiting queue when a huge muscular well built body shove me aside taking my place.

"Hey, I got here first. Don't you have some manners?" I protested.

" No one's got manners for a pipsqueak like you." He said with a deep voice and his accomplices laughed. I felt my blood boil.

"Wanna know who's the pipsqueak here?" I said and he turned slowly to me with a threatening glare.

"Who?" I gulped. If I attempted to go against him, there was no way I could outrun him.

"Nevermind, let's get back to picking our food shall we?" I said and they laughed.

" Such a loser." They said turning to pick their food. I gritted my teeth. Just then I turned and spotted Hazel walking in with her friends. I smirked. She should be a good way to get back at him.
