Vol.2. Chapter 28 – What Will I be Watching?

In a dimly lit room, a young man was preparing himself for his job. With the passing of years, new professions come into existence because of various factors, and in this case, the advance of technology allowed this young man to do what he loves.

He was currently in the process of preparing his mic and software for recording on his PC.

If you look around the room you would see a different kind of posters on the wall, posters that are mostly about anime. With that, the messy bed is also a kind of decoration for this particular room.

Other than that, the most interesting part is the work desk or the place where magic happens. On it, there are two monitors, a keyboard, and a high-tech microphone. Under the desk, one could see two PCs, both of which look expensive.

"Ok, that should be it…"

After he said that, this young, brown-haired man took a deep breath and with his mouse, clicked on the red circle.

"Gents and ladies welcome to my new video…"

With his opening statement and his usual bad jokes, he moved to the main part of the BigTube video he was making.

"Today we will see what anime will I be watching in Winter 2023."

There is a trend of Animetubers making videos before every season about the anime they will watch in that particular season. Most of the time these anime lovers would visit the LiveChart site and go through the anime announced.

"So, let's start with the first anime on the list and that is 'Maou Gakuin no Futekigousha Ⅱ'…"

This season has an interesting lineup of anime. With the first mentioned anime, there is also an anime called 'Tondemo Skill de Isekai Hourou Meshi'

"Another Isekai??? Skip, hard skip and what the hell is with that long-ass name."

One of the most usual responses when these Animetubers see another Isekai showing up but you know what they say – "Isekai are eternal."

Alongside those two, these are the most prominent ones: 'VINLAND SAGA SEASON 2', 'Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru no Darou ka IV: Fuka Shou - Yakusai-hen' and a bunch of other Isekai.

Going through the list, this Animetuber going under the name AnimeWeirdo was getting annoyed with the lack of anime suiting his taste.

And then he got to the anime called – 'Kuu Neru Futari Sumu Futari'

"Hooh, a slice-of-life, romance anime… I wonder when was the last time we got one of them, the details, the details."

With an interested look on his face, this Weirdo looked at the information about this anime. If you don't know on LiveChart other than genres one could see the synopsis, studio that made this anime, number of episodes, etc.

"The studio that made this anime is called Nexus Animation? I have never heard of them, are they new? Also, a standard 12 episodes and it is a manga adaptation."

Even though he looked curious, he still wasn't hooked to the fullest but in the end, he gave a favourable answer for Nexus Animation on whether he would check this one out.

"I am not quite sure about the studio but hey I am interested in a slice-of-life anime that has a touch of romance, I am tired of all these bullshit fantasy anime. Show some imagination…"

The mentioned anime nerd called Weirdo was not the only one who was checking new and announced anime.

"Okay, okay chat, of course, I am going to watch that Isekai, everyone needs to watch that one trashy anime every season. Next anime and it is…"

This time, a streamer in his late twenties was in the middle of streaming. A streamer who is also known for his love of anime, so he would stream before every season starts to let the people know what is he going to watch.

"Man, who asked for the second season of that garbage, rather give me some good-old trashy Isekai, can't go wrong with them. Hard Pass."

After trying to tell some usual streamer-like bad jokes, he returned his attention to the next anime and who would have thought that the next anime on the list was the one made by our own Nexus Animation?

"Romance, slice-of-life, 12 episodes and the summary sounds mildly interesting, never heard of the studio…"

Looking deep in thought, all of a sudden it looked like a light bulb appeared shining above his head.

"Yes, now I remember that name, I read a manga, uff, ages ago I think, so they are making anime about it…Trailer, please send me a link to the trailer."

The streamer looked more excited than usual, but he was still on the fence, so when he was not quite sure about it he would check the trailer of the anime.

"So, they put the trailer on their own channel, okay. I will start now chat, watch it with me."

He clicked on the video and the trailer started with the following sentence written on the screen that was in the black and white color.

"More than a couple, less than Husband and Wife…"

After that, the colours became vibrant and the scene changed to an office with a young woman shouting – "Whaat? Really, eight years??

In the opening, Toma Yuu wanted to show the main plot of this future anime, without spoiling it too much. The plot of this anime is simple. A couple that had been dating for eight years, without marrying, something that was surprising to their environment.

Likewise, he wanted this trailer to start with a kind of melancholic vibes and to go from that to a vibrant, happy vibe, as this anime in the end isn't meant to be sad, but is about a normal couple facing real-life challenges, like any other couple out there.

"Hmm, the art style looks really pretty, also the music is good."

Other than the main staff of the animation studio, Flaming Skulls also worked their asses off to create a beautiful melody for this trailer, it wasn't in their style to create something that slow and not loud but the boys were willing to experiment and in everyone's opinion they did a fine job.

After two minutes the trailer ended with the scene of two main characters holding hands in their apartment, smiling sweetly at each other.

"Huuh, what do you guys think, personally I liked the trailer, it was kind of cosy."

The whole-time chat didn't stop moving but with that question coming out of the streamer's mouth, the comments started appearing with the speed of the bullets.

"That looked boring, lol"

"Eh, I might check this out"

"No Isekai, hard pass"

"Huuh, who would faking want another Isekai, this is at least something different."

"Emoji, emoji, emoji"

"Why are you spamming emojis, use words you bot, it looked okay, will watch…"

The streamer couldn't help but laugh at the absurd comments, not something he didn't expect.

"As for me, I must say I am a fantasy guru but this trailer kind of hooked me… It is a Hard Will Watch!
