Emperor of Anime

With the tragic passing of his father, a young man by the name of Kira Rowe visits Japan, the place which his father loved with all his heart to pay final respect to his old man. But without him planning this he became a CEO of an almost rundown Animation studio, the last thing he got from his father. Follow the adventure of the CEO of a small Animation Studio who tries to deal with his crazy colleagues, financial problems, and being a foreigner CEO in Japan, all with one goal: to create the best anime ever. ... I will try to be as realistic as possible with this story, especially when it comes to the whole process of making an anime but of course, for the fun of the story and some other stuff, it won't be 100% realistic... ... My first novel is here, to be honest, it is surreal seeing a web novel of my own on this site. What can you expect? I am not sure, as I am new to this I decided to go with a slice-of-life story that contains some comedy and is mostly about making anime and weird characters. When it comes to grammar, everything should be fine on that front, English isn't my first language but I tried to fix mistakes while writing. Of course, if you notice any mistakes, please tell me. ... If you want to read more than 20 chapters upfront check out My Patreon - https://www.patreon.com/StoryWriter946

Chapter 12 – Taking matters into his own hands

While Kira was talking to his uncle, at 9 am. The usual suspects one by one gathered at NA HQ. Some were in a good mood and some were grumpy because for weebs 9 am is when you go to bed after playing all night one of Final Fantasy games. Or maybe they have just watched anime the whole night.

One of the grumpier ones was of course the self-proclaimed king here, Yamato Shoda who started speaking after everyone sat down in the meeting room.

"'Chainsaw Man' is shit…"

Oh, boy.

"""WHAT!!!!""""

That was the collective "what" from the whole cast of Nexus Animation. So, 'Chainsaw Man', one of the most anticipated anime in recent years finally aired and became a talking point in the anime community.

This anime was adapted from a famous manga that was created by Tatsuki Fujimoto. The story follows the main character whose name is Denji, who after some stuff happens ends up with the ability to literally turn parts of his body into chainsaws, cool stuff.

"This one" as he likes to call himself wasn't impressed by his colleague's surprised expressions.

"What do you mean what? With all that budget they didn't create a spectacular anime, they spent all that money on the openings and endings and clearly forgot to do something about that ugly battle scenes, yuck."

Of course, as it is with every fandom, this one also has its toxic fans and one just happens to be in this room.

"Haaaa, what do you mean ugly??? Are those glasses you have just for show?"

Shiba Ryo is the self-proclaimed best buddy with Denji and if you watched the anime, you would know why…Let's just say they both have some perverted tendencies.

While those two were having an anime boxing match the rest of the people here decided it would be best for them to not interrupt them.

Most of them were kind of in agreement with Ryo but they were ashamed to say that out loud, so they just stayed on that one surprising "what", it was interesting that the second most opinioned person here and public enemy of Yamato Shoda, Toma Yuu also stayed quiet.

*ding, ding, ding

The phone at the head of the desk started ringing and all of a sudden everyone became quiet, they looked at each other and then Toma Yuu the most seasoned person here went to answer the phone.

"Hello, this is Nexus Animation, ah Renji-san how can we help you?"

Three minutes passed and the call ended. With a somewhat confused expression on his face, Toma Yuu looked at all the people here.

"It was Renji-san…Boss is going on a business trip."

Nikola couldn't help but ask.

"Where?"

"Tokyo…"

"I just called them and told them where you are going but I decided it would be better to not tell them everything that happened, don't want to destroy their confidence after they finally started believing a little."

"Thank you, uncle, you did the right thing, I will call you tomorrow with I hope good news."

Kira hung up and he looked around the train station. It was currently 11 am. And he was about to enter the train. Kisato Train Station is massive and it is probably the most impressive complex in the whole town. It has ten rails and the building where you can buy tickets has the appearance of a small castle. That small castle has a square shape, and four big entrances and inside those with tickets could buy everything you would need – from clothes to quality food, to some good books and manga.

"It really is impressive."

Saying that, Kira boarded the train. He successfully found his seat. He sat down and then he remembered the call he had thirty minutes ago.

He wasn't thinking about the call with his uncle, actually, he was thinking about the conversation he had with Higurashi-sensei, yes the mangaka of 'Kuu Neru Futari Sumu Futari'.

The call lasted for about ten minutes; a lot less than Kira expected. After talking to Joshua, Kira decided how he is going to show his sincerity - he is going to visit Tokyo to beg or in Kira's words negotiate with the mangaka to give them a green light to adopt her manga into anime.

The call went well. Kira once again told Mangaka who he was but this time in greater detail he said how much they value and love 'Kuu Neru Futari Sumu Futari', with all that he said a bunch of empty promises that Kira himself doesn't know if he will be able to accomplish, the usual move made by the politicians and business people. He was indeed taught well at Oxford.

But HE didn't get the final OK from the Higurashi-sensei. Still, Kira was encouraged by the talk he had with the mangaka and he, in a lot better mood and with high hopes was prepared to take on Tokyo.
