Chapter 34 ...

Licht was looking at the white-haired girl with puzzlement and confusion because this girl had appeared in front of them without any prior notice as she crept behind them. Although she conveyed that she didn't have any ill intentions, Licht didn't believe in her. A normal person wouldn't wander in this cold area with light clothes and a hunting bow on their back. Moreover, she was an iceborn because she had an accent.

" I don't trust her. How could she intervene in our mission if she wasn't an enemy? We should tie her up and deliver her to the captains."

Leah said with flickering eyes. She was extremely cautious about her. As for Cynthia, she was distracting the girl with her nonstop chats. She was barraging with her ultimate techniques.

" Well, let's forget about her now. Our priorities are to follow the lead team. We can't fall behind just because of some strangers. Logically, this is their territory. There should be iceborns here and there. She must found our trails."

Licht said with a helpless look. He knew iceborns were excellent hunters that could track almost near invisible prints, hence he decided to take her with them. Otherwise, they would lose sight of the leading team.

Leah groaned as she put her daggers back. She took a glance at her.

" I will be her observer then. Trust me, if she does something funny, I won't show her any mercy."

Leah said with a dangerous look on her face. Her red eyes were filled with malice and seriousness. On other hand, Licht had agreed with her proposal. He couldn't risk his mission for a momentary impulse.

" Fine. However, don't kill her or cripple her. This is the bottom line."

He said with warning. His amber eyes directly pierced into Leah's thoughts. Honestly, Leah was on the sadistic side. She wouldn't allow her enemies to go away that easily.

Leah snorted and followed Licht with the other two. The girl walked next to Licht and asked.

" Hello, how are you? My name is Lisha. What is your name?"

She peeked at him with curiosity. Licht didn't answer as he looked further up to the mountain. He was in his careful mode since she was an unknown entity or variable to their mission. He wasn't in the mood to gamble on their plan.

Cynthia tugged Lisha's sleeves. She smiled like usual.

" His name is Licht, you can call him Lili if you want to. As for that glaring girl, she is Leah. She is a quiet girl."

She said happily. She wasn't a serious person like Licht or a vigilant person like Leah. She already regarded Lisha as a friend.

Lisha tilted her head and took a look at Licht's face once again. In her vision, Licht was a breathtaking boy with a calming aura. Although she was observing him before this, she couldn't see his face because of the hood and scarf. Once she saw his face, it was different from her parents who were regarded as one of the most attractive couples.

" Licht, I will remember that. You are a beautiful person. I have never seen a boy with such an exquisite face and body."

She said while looking at his body. She could see the clear lines of muscles which indicated he wasn't a fragile boy. Moreover, she saw there were calculuses on his palms.

Cynthia puffed her cheeks as she looked at Licht who was stiff as wood. She sighed helplessly because this was Licht who was always awkward with other strangers.

Stop*

Suddenly, Licht stopped his movements along with Lisha. Their foreheads immediately sweated with cold sweat.

" Don't move. Leah, you could sense it, right?"

Licht said with a hoarse voice. Unknowingly, they had stumbled into the most dangerous zone in the mountain. It was a frozen water basin even Lisha didn't know that it existed in the first place because they were already way off from the usual safe route.

Crack*

The ice cracks could be heard even if they were on the edge.

" This is bad. We can't descend that fast. The ice would cause an avalanche that engulf us. Furthermore, there is a cliff next to us. Who knows what would happen if jump down?"

Leah said with a light tone.
