Landed on my ass

I landed on my ass, no quite literally, as soon as the plane landed everybody got up like they are going to fly us back to New York if we don't get out as soon as possible, and in that mess of people I fell on my ass on the Indian soil after 20 long years. I missed this country, but the people not so much . Why is everyone in such a hurry ? They didn't even enjoy the skylines of Mumbai. I'm back after sooo many years and this city is more beautiful than ever. Oh my god I realised I just kept talking without even introducing myself. No problem Im going to do it now.

Hello guys !!! I'm Rhythm Malik here in India to complete the most important goal of my life, the search for my bio father. I haven't seen him, don't know his name, address, phone number, not a clue just a few old pictures and my heart full of hope.

I was just 3 when my mom died in an accident and her best friend adopted me and migrated to the States, nobody knows anything about my dad, just that he and my mom fell in love had me and then he went away. I don't think he even knows about my mom's death, otherwise he would searched for me right

I found love and family with Geeta Ma and Neha Di, but something still felt empty so when Geeta Ma passed away I came here to fill that emptiness or atleast try.

Just when I completed narrating my life story the cab driver yelled that we have reached and to get out of his vehicle and he is not interested in my life. What the hell people are so rude in India, if this was the states I'm sure the cab driver would have told me about his life. Whatever!!!

When I told Neha Di my foster sister about my plan she absolutely refused to let me go to India in search of my father as I don't know anything about this country, but I proved her wrong by taking a quiz of getting to know India and scoring 100%. But she and her husband Rahul had a condition, that they will let me go alone only if I promise to stay with one of Rahul's family friends, so that I'm not alone in a new country and they will also be relieved that I'm safe.

So I agreed and here I am about to meet these people who have graciously allowed me to live at their home rent free as long as I want. Shocking right! Who agress to keep people in their home rent free. But Rahul Bhai said that's how it is in India, people consider their friends also as family and nobody takes rent from family. So kind and generous I already respect them.

As soon as I rang the bell, there she was Maahi Kapoor, the sweet lady who is smiling at me, she has such a sweet smile. I also smiled my biggest gleeful smile and engulfed her in a hug as a thank you gesture. Thank you so much Maahi Ma'am for allowing me to stay at your home. Again smiling she answered you sre always welcome beta please call me Aunty.

She was so beautiful, with plump red cheeks, brown hair, dark eyes, dressed in an white Indian salwar kameez, looking at her gave me a feeling of calm and peace. She told the maid to take my bags inside and showed me around the house. The house was beautiful inside out with high ceilings, large windows and smart interiors. Everything looked ao classy and elegant that I was worried I'm going to ruin this with my mess.

She asked me about life, what I like to eat, if I'm allergic to something? If I need anything? So I told her frankly Aunty please drop the formalities I'm gonna make myself comfortable please stop worrying. She smiled her million dollar smile and asked What I want for dinner ?

As we were just prepping for dinner the bell rang, it was Jiya, Maahi Aunty's younger daughter, she just returned from her college, yes colleges in India are very close to home, people rarely move to different states for colleges as there are many in the same locality. She was a shadow of her mother, beautiful, sweet and slightly chubby, as I was talking to her she was complaining about her weight, while eating cheesy pasta.

Jiya told me about her brother Armaan, he was the man of the house, everything here is done according to his will, he worked very hard from a young age, put himself through architectural college, got the dream job and then opened his own architectural firm named Strings which has designed this whole neighborhood, became famous overnight with his hard work, dedication and struggle. The house was personally decorated by him as a gift for his mom. My heart melted after listening to that, such a sweet gesture, I was sure he is also as sweet as Maahi Aunty and Jiya.

The jet lag hit me pretty hard after lunch and Jiya directed me to the room I'm gonna stay in, it was very large, spacious, with a high window and balcony. I fell asleep as I was admiring the room.

I woke up at being hauled from the bed to the floor, as if I was in a Karate competition and somebody knocked me out for a few meger points. Disoriented I looked up and saw the most handsome man I have ever seen in my life, with face like a greek god, strong jaw, which was making his face look like it has huge dimples, arch eyebrows, aristocratic nose, dreamy dark chocolate eyes, hair like the ones in shampoo ads, and his lips, so perfect, but they were moving too fast, he was asking me something. Oh No I forgot to focus on his voice, not my fault I was so lost in his white kurta desi look, he looked like a Bollywood star. I really should focus I think he is yelling
