Dear Diary,

Oh my goodness, you will never guess what happened today. Johnson came up to me after Strategic Sciences.

"Hey," He said.

"Hi," I said.

"How have you been?" he asked, "I heard you're good at your lessons."

"Really?" I asked, "That's good. I wasn't sure if I was good enough. How's my dad? I haven't talked to him for a week."

"He's good," Johnson answered, "I was wondering, uhh, do you have trouble speaking anymore?"

"No, not really. It really depends on what you mean by trouble speaking. I've never had trouble coming up with words, since English is written into my DNA."

"Yeah, I meant, does your tongue still bother you?"

"No, not really," I replied. This was definitely not what he wanted to ask, "How have you been?"

"Good," Jonson replied, "What I was really wondering was, umm, do you, have you," Johnson was sputtering at this point. He suddenly started talking really fast, "Do you wanna go dancing some time?"

"I have never been dancing before," I said, "but, I'd be willing to learn. That is, of course, if you are willing to teach me."

"Umm, yeah, ok," He replied, "I can do that."

"Thanks," I said.

"No problem," Johnson replied. With color rising to his cheeks, he added, "Um, I'll be at your door on Thursday, nine o'clock sharp. I won't be late, I promise."

"Don't make a promise you can't keep," I warned.

"Don't worry, I'll keep this one."

So basically, I have my first date! Johnson was so awkward, and nervous. He shouldn't have had to worry, I would have said yes whether I felt bad for him or not. Not that I had a crush on him, but, I like his personality. I like his long, black hair, his crooked smile, his sparkling, blue eyes. Okay, maybe I had a little crush, but, I promise, it was little.

"Don't make a promise you can't keep." Okay, it might have been more than little, but I'm not obsessed. That I can promise.

Apparently the movie playing tonight is a rerun of "The Little Princess" starring Shirley Temple. I think I'll go and watch it.

Love from,

~EAZ~
