"Are you starting to consider joining? I emphasize that our club is special and doesn't recruit just anyone!"
Raven struggled to free himself from Alaric's grasp, but his efforts were futile.
"Goodness, how noisy! Do you really need to create such a commotion?" Alaric grumbled, dragging Raven along. "If you want to commit suicide, do it at home, there's no need to make a scene like this. At least if you really go through with it, there'll be some excitement at your house!"
Despite Raven's protests, Alaric continued to pull him away from the rooftop's edge, his grip unyielding as they made their way towards the exit, the sound of someone attempting to break through growing louder with each passing moment.
"Are you not being a bit too meddling?" Raven interjected.
"Not at all. What lunatic would willingly watch a creature as beautiful as yourself end their life?"
Raven shrugged. "Who said anything about suicide?! That's just overreacting. I actually have no intention of killing myself or anything." He stated firmly.
"Next time, don't attempt suicide on campus, alright? We don't want our campus losing its popularity," Alaric remarked. "After all, this campus is quite renowned for admitting high-achieving students."
"That's their problem!" Raven retorted firmly.
"It'll haunt the campus!"
"What do I care?! Besides, I'm too lazy to be a ghost!"
"Is joining my club really the only option? It's better if you join my club. We can extend your lifespan a little longer," Alaric pleaded, leaning in so close to Raven that their noses almost brushed against each other.
Their breaths mingled in the air, and they could both catch a whiff of each other's scent. In that moment, they silently acknowledged that the other's scent wasn't unpleasant at all.
In fact, it was rather calming. Truly peculiar.
"What kind of club is that?" Raven asked curiously.
Alaric smiled mysteriously. "It's a place that provides various forms of happiness in life. We entertain clients through services like chatting, venting, and even hugging while venting, or it can get even more intimate if you're willing."
Raven's eyebrows furrowed in confusion as he processed Alaric's explanation.
The idea of a club dedicated to providing happiness through intimate interactions was both intriguing and perplexing to him.
"So, you're saying your club offers companionship and comfort to people who need it?" Raven clarified, still trying to wrap his head around the concept.
Alaric nodded, his expression earnest yet enigmatic. "Exactly. We strive to create a safe and welcoming environment where individuals can feel valued and understood. It's more than just a club; it's a sanctuary for those seeking solace and connection in a world that can often feel cold and lonely."
Raven contemplated Alaric's words, his initial skepticism slowly giving way to curiosity.
"Isn't that just like being a gigolo?" Raven rolled his eyes lazily.
"Well, it's a bit different!" Alaric responded quickly. "Slightly different."
Raven swiftly pulled his hand from Alaric's grasp. "You're joking, right? I'm not joining a club like that!"
Alaric laughed. "Oh, you think you can escape from me?"
Alaric's playful tone sent a shiver down Raven's spine, and he couldn't shake the feeling of unease that had settled over him.
Despite Alaric's seemingly jovial demeanor, there was something unnerving about the way he spoke and the intensity in his gaze.
"I'm serious, Alaric. I'm not interested in joining your club," Raven insisted, taking a step back to create some distance between them.
Alaric's smile faltered for a brief moment before he regained his composure, his eyes glinting with a hint of determination.
"Well, we'll see about that," he replied cryptically, his tone sending a chill down Raven's spine.
As Raven and Alaric stood on the rooftop, engaged in their tense exchange, the peace was shattered by the deafening crash of the rooftop door being forcefully thrown open.
Both Raven and Alaric were caught off guard, their bodies tensing as they turned to face the sudden intrusion.
A team of firefighters stormed onto the rooftop, their imposing figures clad in protective gear, their expressions stern and focused.
They wasted no time in taking control of the situation, their training evident in the precise and methodical manner in which they moved.
"What the...?"
"What's going on?"
"Everyone, freeze! Don't move!"
Raven and Alaric found themselves quickly surrounded by the firefighters, their escape routes effectively cut off.
Before they could react, strong arms reached out and seized them, their bodies being forcibly restrained.
"Hey, let go of me!" Raven exclaimed.
"What do you think you're doing?" Alaric confused.
The firefighters' grip was firm and unyielding, their actions rough and efficient as they subdued Raven and Alaric.
They were immobilized with a sense of urgency, the seriousness of the situation palpable in the air.
"You're both coming with us. No arguments. No stupid act as well!"
Despite their protests and attempts to resist, Raven and Alaric found themselves overpowered by the firefighters' superior strength and training.
They were held in place, unable to move as the firefighters quickly assessed the situation and secured the rooftop.
"This is ridiculous! We haven't done anything wrong!"
Alaric rolled his eyes. "Yeah. Let us go, damn it!"
The scene was chaotic and disorienting, with voices shouting orders and the sound of footsteps echoing against the concrete floor.
Raven and Alaric could do nothing but watch helplessly as the firefighters carried out their duties with precision and determination.
As the initial shock began to fade, Raven and Alaric were left feeling stunned and humiliated by the abruptness of the intervention.
They exchanged bewildered glances, their minds reeling with disbelief at the turn of events.
As they were escorted off the rooftop, their thoughts were consumed by an unbearable embarrassment.
