Miss Xia

Imperial Hospital.

"How do you feel now, Miss Xia?" The neurologist asked while flipping through her reports.

"So far..so good. Although from time to time I still had a headache but it's nothing I cannot endure."

"There's nothing abnormal in your reports, so I guessed it just a common headache resulted from the traumatic brain injury that you had before..but if the pain is too unbearable or it occurs frequently more than usual..I need you to inform me so we could conduct some tests to find the possible reasons. But I really hope I won't need to see you any further, as that's mean you're doing great."

"Yes, I'll bear that in mind."

"Alright..that's all I guessed. Oh? You have a session with Dr Chang after this, right?"

"Yes..how-"

"Oh, I met him before. Let me inform him you had done with my session."

"Thank you, doc."

Liu Ying nodded as she texted her friend. "Come, let's me send you to his room."

Fu Chu wants to refuse her help but her Miss signaled her to let her be. So she just followed behind them silently when Liu Ying pushed her boss's wheelchair.

Just as Fu Chu tapped on the 'down' button to call for the lift, a masculine yet raspy voice could be heard greeting Liu Ying from nearby them. Fu Mingxia freeze for a second when she heard that voice before she feigning busy with her phone when the man approached them.

"Dr Hao." Liu Ying acknowledged him back as she bowed slightly to him. "Is there anything that you need?"

Hao Shen frowned slightly when he saw the woman that sitting on the wheelchair as his mind running, trying to recall where did he ever saw her before but failed.

"Dr Hao?"

"Ah! Yes. I just passing by here after checking upon my patient in the NSICU ward. Uhm..where're you going?"

Ding!

"Ah! Here come the lift." Liu Ying pushed Fu Mingxia into the elevator as Fu Chu followed suit. They nodded at him but surprisingly he entered the lift too.

"Oh? Turn out you're waiting for the lift too, Dr Hao. Which floor are you going to?"

"The same floor," he pointed on the lighted button of fifth floor.

Liu Ying frowned in confusion as she never knew Hao Shen had some business today in the physiotherapy department but she just brushed it off as her ignorant. 'He's the owner, it's normal for him to check on his employees.'

Hao Shen glanced again at the woman from time to time but she never turned to look at him even once. 'Is the phone really that interesting?' He felt unreasonably irritated by her nonchalant attitude and get closer to her and secretly peek on her phone. 'Tsk..turn out she playing that childish game of snake.'

Fu Mingxia could feel his piercing stares bore at the side of her head but she ignored him, lest he could recognise her from that night. She knew he had searched for her but she had ensured to alter or delete some of her information from eight years ago until now. Although she had warned Yang Jinhai to keep his mouth shut too after she knew they are best friend, but she still cannot take a risk as that man was quite unreliable and blabbermouth.

Ding!

They all went out of the elevator as Liu Ying continue to push the wheelchair forward.

"Uhm..this is?"

"Oh? She's my patient..involved in an accident two years ago."

Hao Shen nodded but did not asking further as he discreetly scrutinising the woman. 'She looked like someone....who could it be? I can't see her face clearly as her long hair curtaining down her face. But...her attitude quite resemble that brazen woman... But that woman could walk and she cannot..'

Fu Mingxia clearly knew what he might be thinking about and she sighed in relief internally by her decision to not wear her prosthetic legs today as she only has upper body therapy later. 'He's quite sharp..I need to be more cautious after this.'

"Here we are." Liu Ying knocked on the door of the therapy room and Fu Chu helped her to push it open.

Fu Mingxia frowned a bit when she realised that shameless man still towed behind them into the room. 'What did he want now? Didn't doctor always busy?'

"Miss Xia. Oh, Dr Hao. You're here too. Have a seat. Did you need anything from me?" Chang Ming ushered him towards a couch before he turned towards his fiancee, Liu Ying and raising his brow questioningly. But she just shrugged her shoulder as she also did not know why the almighty Hao Shen followed them until here.

"I just came to observe your work. Just carry on, don't mind me here." They heard Hao Shen stated and turned around just to see he pinned his gazes on their patient. But the woman seems oblivious by his action.

The pair confusedly staring at each other before Liu Ying signaled Fu Chu to come over. "Did Miss Xia acquainted with our hospital's owner?" she whispered.

"No. And as far as I know..this is their first time meeting each other. Why?"

"No..nothing. We're just asking."

Fu Chu raised her brows but just nodded and walked towards her boss and stood aside as before. Liu Ying and Chang Ming decided not to dwell on the matter as they cannot predicted what is inside their boss's mind.

"Did you have another appointment after this?"

"No, that's why I came here. We can lunch together later after you finish the session with her."

"Alright. Wait here then."

"Miss Xia..if you're ready, we will start now."

"Yes, sure." Fu Mingxia passed her phone to Fu Chu before she manoeuvres her wheelchair towards the big bench and carefully pushed her body up onto the bench after Fu Chu folded the blanket that is used to cover her laps.

She glanced at Hao Shen from the corner of her eyes when he suddenly cleared his throat but realised he had propped his elbows on his knees and bowed his head down, seemingly busy with his phone. So she decided to disregard his behaviour and adjusted herself comfortably.
