[Chapter 18] Foxes V/s Wolves Part 8 ~ Kyro's Daughter ꪖꪖꪖꪖ

[South Korea, Wolves Headquarters] 

[Night 11:42 pm] 

[Attack Commence on the Wolves] 

... 

Kyro: "What's your name, little one?" 

He questioned gently, before moving his rough arms to carry the child who relaxed in her father's gentle warm arms. 

"Kira! My name is Kira, papa!" She shouted excitedly while embracing her 'father' into a lovingly warm hug. 

"What a fine name Kira, my daughter." He replied, gently patting the top of her head affectionately, earning a bright smile from her. 

'Is this what fatherhood being is like? I could get used to it.' He thought absentmindedly as he continued to let his guard down in front of his imposter daughter. 

Kira: "Mhm, mhm! It was mama who gave me such a beautiful name. It means beam of light!" 

Kyro: "Is that so. She must be very brilliant, like you." 

Kira: "Why of course. I am my mother's daughter. Just like I'm my father's daughter."

Yulius: {You seem more like a daddy's girl if you ask me.} 

Chelsea: {Shut up Yulius! Let me have my moment. And for the record, we have no dad.} 

Yulius: {Right, we don't. But Kira does.} 

Chelsea: {Does it really matter. I mean she's going to be daddy-less very soon.} 

Yulius: {Hm, fair point.} 

As all they've discussed were true. Chelsea, in persona of Kira has no intention of leaving her 'father' alive. He's a threat- not really, more so in the way of Eminence's path to greatness. And who is Kira to forgive her deadbeat of a father. In her mind, he's her biological father who went to get milk and never came back for 8 years straight. 

So, what if she betrayed him. He should've expected this as no child would easily forgive any of their parents for abandonment. No reason or excuses could bypass their sins. Moreover, no child should experience such a tragedy. All Kira is doing is repaying her father for everything he's done for her. Which is of course, nothing. 

Because he's a deadbeat. What do you expect from one. In fact, she bet her father's gentleness at the current moment is nothing more but a cliche act to get her to lower her guard. But she won't fall for such tactics. Her mother taught her better and better she shall do. Starting with the ugly a*s man carrying her. 

Kyro: "That you are." 

He joyously claimed, as she was indeed her father's and mother's daughter. He then questioned where her mother was. "Speaking of your mother, where is she?" 

Kira's mood instantly turned sour, not in a bad way, but a sad way. She hiccups as her entire face is brought to tears. Seeing her tears, Kyro instantly felt bad. He must've touched a sour subject relating to his one-night stand and now his daughter is brought to tears because of it. He felt terrible and helpless. 

As he should be. 

Kyro: "Oh, I'm sorry dear. You don't have to answer that." 

Assuming that she's dead of course, which was what he concluded that brought Kira to tears. Truly an unfortunate event, but this means he has full custody of his daughter and doesn't have to pay child support. 

What a dirt bag am I right? 

His daughter's mother is dead, and he's worry about paying child support. What the hell is wrong with this motherf*cker?! He's obviously not right in the head. Perhaps his mother intentionally dropped him on the head which led Kyro to develop immense hatred for mothers in general. Forgetting the fact that his daughter will one day become a mother herself if she wished for it. 

No, that's not possible. No man, or woman for that matter, will be worthy of his daughter. He'll make sure of it. And anyone that dare not know their place, he obviously will not kill them and instead compel them to priesthood. Right, as that is the only suitable option, he can do to be a better man, a person in general, for his daughter. 

But his hopes and dreams came crumbling down the second the tearily child spoke. 

Kira: "Mama is not, hic- with me right now because hic- she's really really sick and can't hic- get out of her bed." 

She cried, earning a sympathetic expression from her father. Though in his mind he was cursing the old wretch for staying alive for this long. As a matter of fact, he plans to finish the job. The job being her death. He will end her! As he has no intention of paying child support or even letting her have custody over his daughter. 

But for now, he'll entertain his daughter a little about 'saving' her mother. That way, he can get answers from the little one on where her mother could possibly be to end her of course, while also getting her to stop her tears. As her tears shouldn't be wasted on an old hag. 

If either of the Seo sisters were to hear Kyro's thoughts right now, he would've instantly lost his head as no one will take insults to their mother kindly. And though the insult is directed to Kira's mother which is nothing more but a fake persona that Chelsea used to disguised herself, both still would've felt the offense.

Or maybe that's just an excuse to off with his head. Point is, there's a zero percent chance that the fox clan head will be getting out of this place alive. His survival chance would've gone up a couple of percentage if not for his true vicious nature, but sadly that is not the case. Moreover, he's in the honored one's presence, he has no say in the matter regarding his fate. 

The only fate that lies ahead of him is death. 

That was finalized the second the Seo twins laid eyes upon the entirety of the Great Mythical Beast Clans. 

Kyro: "Ah, I'm sorry about that little one. But why don't you tell me where she is so I can send some men to help her." 

He spoke softly, receiving a nod from her. 

Kira: "Mhm, hic- okay papa,"

She sniffed into his shoulder as he petted the back of her head to calm her down. 

Yulius: {And the Oscar award goes to- drum roll please... Chelsea Alora Seo! Woohoo.} 

Her sarcastic remark earned a mental laugh and playful eye roll from Chelsea. Though you couldn't see the latter as her entire face was hiding in Kira's father shoulder. 

Chelsea: {Haha, very funny. But thanks, I know I just so talented and you were just waiting to grant me the honors of one.} 

Yulius: {Oh get over yourself. I was obviously joking.} 

Chelsea: {B*tch please, nobody's laughing.} 

Yulius: {Precisely my point. It was a bad joke. Just like your bad acting.} 

Chelsea: {Excuse you?!} 

Yulius: {I only told the truth and nothing but the truth.} 

Chelsea: {The f*ck are you on about. We aren't in court or some sh*t.} 

Yulius: {Hm, I can't lie for my life regarding your terrible acting. It just comes out so naturally.} 

Chelsea: {You just lied.} 

Implying the part where she can't lie for her life when she most certainly can. 

Yulius: {Did not.} 

Chelsea: {Did too.} 

Yulius: {When?} 

Chelsea: {Just a couple of seconds ago when you said, 'I can't lie for my life regarding your terrible acting.'} 

Yulius: {All true really.} 

Chelsea: {Yulius?!} 

Yulius: {What?! I stayed true to my words. I can't lie for my life when it comes to your terrible acting.} 

Key word, terrible acting. Yulius can lie, in fact she's really good at it. But when it comes to Chelsea's overall acting talent which most would say is very good, Yulius can't help but tease her about it. Which is precisely what she's doing. 

All the while their mentally telepathic conversation is conversing, Kyro is busying soothing his sad child while everyone else is just standing there, witnessing the father and daughter duo. Wolves don't really have a choice as they're basically the fox clan's prisoners and the foxes are just overjoy that the fox clan has an heir. 

Props to Chelsea for keeping her act up as Kira because she's doing a real good job at fooling everyone in the room while chatting with her twin. Heck, she even fooled Zefron. 

Going back to the twin's telepathic conversation, the younger Seo caught on to what the elder Seo meant and mentally sighed. 

Chelsea: {I walked into that one, didn't I?} 

Yulius: {Mhm.} 

Her hum was all that needed to be heard for the youngest to annoyingly complain. 

Chelsea: {Yulius! You're such an arse.} 

Yulius couldn't help but smirk teasingly at her remark as all she said were true. She was an arse and she knew that. They both did. Probably because in reality, they're both arse. Real big arses, making them a very big pain in the a*s to deal with. With that being said, she proudly claimed. {Oh, I know, but you love this arse, don't ya.} 

Chelsea: {Bullsh*t!} 

Yulius: {It wouldn't be bullsh*t if it's true.} 

Chelsea: {Which is why it's complete bullsh*t!}

Yulius: {Is it?} 

Chelsea: {Yulius Seo!}

Yulius: {What?! All I have said is nothing but the truth.} 

Chelsea: {Debatable.} 

Yulius: {Not really.} 

Chelsea: {Is too!} 

Yulius: {Nope, it's really not. And all I'm hearing is a sore loser.} 

Chelsea: {Grrr.} 

Ignoring her twins grrr, though she felt slightly concern, she continues on to the main point. 

Yulius: {Yulius 1, Chelsea 0.} 

Chelsea: {Hmpt!} 

She turns away, done with the losing debate with her sister, which ends up with her face being stuffed into Kyro's neck, much to her dismay. But she can't change positions as it would become suspicious for her to deny her beloved 'father's' warmth and that's something a proud Oscar awarding actor cannot do when they act. Of course there's improv, but that's beside the point. 

Feeling a shift in weigh in his arms, Kyro looked to check up on his daughter to see that she stopped crying. Relief washed through his body before he got on to his main point. 

Kyro: "So my little princess, can you tell me where your mother is?"

Kira: "Ume, I know where it is, but I don't recall the address of my home."

She lied splendidly. 

Kyro: "Is that so. Then do you perhaps remember how to get there?" 

He asked, which was what Kira aimed for. 

Kira: "Mhmhm, I do." 

Kyro: "Good, that's very good. We'll go there immediately once I finish my business with these guys." 

Pointing to the wolf clan members. 

Kira: "M'kay!"
