Chapter 12 Fate Overturned

Having an overwhelming field is very intimidating especially when I have the beast known as Mohg being an intimidating centre piece, but at this point my duel disk finally applies the cost of summoning ST. Trina.

"Well for the Battle phase I'll start with someone light, Miquella. Attack if you would" As I say this, I point directly at Ishizu who looks confused until she sees a Beam of light appear in her vision and hit her with a headshot that would have killed her if it was real.

"Now I'm going to read your mind and determine what you're thinking how Miquella attack could directly when you have a monster face down to block the attack, it's very simple, remember that card that essentially buffed Miquella. It made it so as an additional rule Miquella can attack directly and when he attacks, he can search my deck for another Plot card." As I say this, I see Miquella uses the light Knife to cut himself before sending the blood flying which causes another Miquella cross to grow from the ground this time behind ST. Trina.

Searching though my deck and my field I sigh before adding a card to my hand.

"Now the rest of by battle phase, I'll have Sir Ansbach attack your face down."

The black cloaked knight bows once more to his lord before readying his blade to attack, he gives one glance to me and I shake my head, He takes the que and jumps into the air before striking down at the face down monster.

The monster card flips due to the attack t reveal a very muscle-bound man wearing a Golden headdress and mask all while carrying a very intimidating sabre, it reacts just in time to block the descending Scythe.

Due to Sir Ansbach having 1800 ATK himself the battle results in a stalemate against the monster which gets buffed from its own ability. The Look on Ishizu is happy with the defence but as she examines the field, she can see my expression and see while its a look on intrigue it's not one of annoyance.

"Well, it seems you stopped Sir Ansbach, the first time."

the words confuse Ishizu but before she can ask why I just continue. 

"I use Sir Ansbach's ability, his ability allows me to pay up to 700 LP to increase his ATK by that amount for the turn, while having another effect that allows him to attack twice per turn. Since it hurts me, I'll only pay the bare minimum of 1 LP to overcome the defence of Mudora with his second attack.

Both Sir Ansbach and Mohg chuckle at the paltry sacrifice which would break the camel's back, but regardless Sir Ansbach jumps from Mudora's Block to stand next to me, I place my hand against Sir Ansbach's illusion, and he gains a tiny red hue to his Scythe.

Without a command Ansbach does what he was meant to do and does another attack towards the Beefcake in a Egyptian mask, A repeat of the last situation occurs but instead of the Sabre being able to hold back the Scythe's Edge it is cut in half, the Scythe's blade continues its strike and cuts Mudora in half.

As the monster fades away the smile on Mohg seems to become feral as he realizes he is able to attack directly, myself I realise I could have won the duel right now by just paying Mohg's LP effect, but I had a sneaking suspicion it would have been a bad idea, you can never be too careful with Seers.

"Now Mohg, it's time to take your pound of flesh, this time directly from Ishizu, Attack directly."

Mohg lets out a laugh that only Marika could love, wait she didn't love him, never mind, he lets out a laugh/growl combo that no one likes, before walking towards Ishizu before Slamming his Scared Spear down upon her.

When the Spear would hit her, me, Mohg, Miquella and Ishizu herself are surprised when a golden light barrier appears around her blocking the Strike.

Confused at the barrier Mohg rears back his spear for another strike but something interesting happens.

having no idea about the golden barrier and its purpose and since he's done his attack Mohg returns to his space while confused like everyone else.

"I have no idea what that was about but regardless, I'll play one card face down and end my turn."

I see Ishizu close her eyes in contemplation before drawing a card.

"I'll play Graceful Charity to add three cards to my hand then discard 2." I see as she draws 3 smiles at the cards before sending two the grave.

"Next from my hand I'll play Spell recovery from my hand to discard 2 spells in my hand to get a spell from my graveyard, and I'll being my Card of Demise back so I can play it to get back to 5."

I watch her do this play to both fill her grave for her strategy and regain card advantage.

Behind her veil I can see her smile as if her plan is going along swimmingly.

"With these cards I'll end this, from my hand I play the Spell, Raigeki, to destroy all your monsters on the field."

Above the field storm clouds start to form and lightning is seen rolling around in the clouds before in a Flash of light the lightning strikes my field.

Everyone is blinded by the light and when my field is revealed its not empty.

Mohg, Miquella and ST. Trina are still there with Sir Ansbach being the only casualty.

"Wait, what how are they still on the field." Ishizu exclaims in confusion.

I explain confused at her reaction, "Well Miquella and Mohg are immune to Spell effects while The Miquella's ascension Plot gives a blanket protection against destruction card effects for 'Miquella, the kind' which ST. Trina is also defined as."

My words send Ishizu into a frowning state before she scowls then plays take a card from her hand and plays it.

"I'll play Monster reborn and Summon a monster from the graveyard. I'll Summon one of yours which I have foreseen to be most useful in this situation. I special Summon Adherent Malignant Thiollier in Defence position."

When she says she's using monster reborn it doesn't catch my attention because I was thinking she would go again on offense but when she summons Thiollier I just realised the problem.

'I am here to serve ST. Trina e...evermore, . . . Why am I facing ST. Trina, is this one of Miquella's deceptions.'

His words cause Miquella who's on the field to get angry at the masked servant, with a scowl but he stays silent.

Now for those who don't get the problem, here's why with this move she's just placed me in a passive state even though I have a monster with way more power potential than Thiollier.

Thiollier is a perfect guard card, as long as ST. Trina isn't in the graveyard and guess where ST. Trina is, on the field blocking her from using Exchange of the spirit to turn my deck thinner than a few cards. 

I can see the sense of smugness in her eyes from across the field.

I see on the field as Thiollier takes a bowing posture towards ST. Trina. 'My beloved ST. Trina, I wish you no harm, but I hope you find it in your heart to forgive my transgressions.'

Trina on her plant throne looks at her follower with sympathy but says nothing.

I watch Ishizu looks again at her hand before summoning a monster in face down.

"I'll end my turn."

being my turn again I draw a card and looking at the card I just smile.

"From my hand I activate the Scadutree's veil to Special Summon an Adherent monster from my deck and I choose Adherent Robust Moore."

The Scadutree in the background lets a drop of golden amber drop onto the field before from the mass a rectangular Stone like shield appears from the location and appearing under the shield, a man encased in similar armour appears.

'Happy, forever more, Sad need to fight.'

"When Moore is Summon, he allows me to draw a card." I watch as the Gentle Bulwark opens the lid of the pot in front of him and throws something from it towards me, it lands on my deck as an effect and releases the top card of the deck from the duel disk, looking at the card I'm happy with Moore.

"Sorry for needing to get rid of you so quickly Moore and what this would do to you Thiollier but using the card Moore gave me I'll play Purity of Ideals."

I watch as Moore curls up upon the field as if in pain before in a feat of Strength Raises a Giant Rot pot from somewhere before throwing it towards Thiollier who in panic couldn't even dodge the Pot. 

"When played Purity of Ideals requires me to sacrifice an Adherent Monster but the payoff is that it removes one card on your field from play then allows me to add Adherent Needle knight Leda to my hand from the graveyard."

my words come true as Thiollier is revealed to be a scarlet rot riddled corpse on the field before pixelating.

"Last on my turn I'll Summon Needle Knight Leda before entering my battle phase."

Leda is summoned and she immediately bows towards Miquella.

'My lord, after so long I have Reunited with you, may I forever be your Merciful blade'

looking at Leda I get major Yandere vibes, maybe that's a expected for the demi-god of yandere's only remaining knight, I look over the field and see Ishizu sweating bullets at her open field.

"Now it's the battle phase and during this only Miquella will attack."

hearing my words Ishizu scowls and says in rage. "You seek to play with me like a cat and mouse, why not end this duel."

As Miquella strikes Ishizu she watches as the light blade appears and hits her, but her Lp don't decrease.

"I'm not attacking with Mohg or Leda due to the effect of Moore, when Moore is removed from the field for that turn neither player can take damage, but I'm still attacking with Miquella so I can use the ascension plots effect to add another Plot card to my hand."

Adding the last Plot card to my hand, I look over the field before saying "I'll end my turn."

Ishizu sighs at the prospect of getting another turn, She Draws a card and Immediately Summons a monster.

"I'll Summon another Mudora in Atk position and due to the amount of Earth Fairy cards in my graveyard his ATK will be at 2300."

The buff muscle man appears again but this time his Blade is ready to strike, and I can guess where its aimed.

"Mudora take down St Trina." I watch without emotion as the buff Egyptian warrior charges the resting ST. Trina, its blade strikes down and makes ST. Trina dissolve into a cascade of purple flowers which disappear.

"Now that that card is gone, I'll activate Exchange of the spirit on the field to swap our decks and Graveyards." the action which I delayed happens and their swapped.

I watch as Mudora becomes massive with a giant glow up.

"Lastly I'll place a face down" She smiles as if she's won before playing the card face down before saying, "I'll end my turn here."

"And with this I've won."

My words cause Ishizu to break from her revelry of her victory, "How you have little to no cards left in your deck and nothing you have should be able to defeat Mudora in this state."

"Incorrect but you'll see why. but first I'll draw then use Scadutree's veil to special summon an adherent from the deck to the field, so welcome back Sir Ansbach."

Mogh Smiles and waves his Sacred spear to allow a pool of blood to form which Sir Ansbach returns from.

When Sir Ansbach raises from the pool he looks eyes with Leda who's on the field as both Knights and their lords are present on the field.

'Ah Lady Leda, it's nice to see you again, The last time I saw you was during the cleansing room Duel where you were killed, I hope this experience is as gratifying as it is for me.' Sir Ansbach says this with a hint of mirth before at the end looking towards his lord who just looks amused at the exchange.

Needle Knight Leda looks from her position at Miquella's side to the Black robed Sir Ansbach, her movement makes her White cloak billow in the wind and her face depicts a scowl at the old man.

"From my hand I'll Play the card that will win me the duel. I play Plot against the Starscourge!"

I see from across the field as Ishizu's eyes widen in shock as if the cards very existence is a surprise to her.

"I'll search my deck for Malenia, Blade of Miquella and Adherent Redmane Freya from my graveyard, then I Construct the XYZ Network to XYZ Summon Radahn the Starscourge using Malenia, Blade of Miquella and Adherent Redmane Freya as Materials."

The world around us and everyone around use are confused at my words but are additionally shocked when the phantom images of Malenia and Freya appear and a Black Vortex opens up in the sky, the pair of phantoms jump into the vortex while rolls and coils around itself in a Chaotic maelstrom.

The Vortex gives off a golden and purple light before landing against the floor forming a arch way of the vortex's energy, from the archway an absolute behemoth of a entity rides out upon a skinny and sickly horse that shouldn't be able to hold his weight, hovering behind him instead of the usual stars of Xyz's he has two Purple Meteors floating behind him.

The living titan looks down from his mount and stares directly at Ishizu who feels the sheer strength of Radahn's presence wash over her like the planets gravity just doubled.

"3000 Atk points, it rivals Blue-eyes White Dragon." I hear from the crowd.

"Due to the effect of the Plot against the Starscourge, Radahn's ATK is reduced by 500 per Material he has."

hearing this Ishizu lets out a sigh of relive but when she my face that isn't changed, she catches that breath quickly.

"firstly, let's get rid of your monster, I'll use Needle Knight Leda's effect to sacrifice an adherent Monster on the field to destroy a monster on your field."

I watch as Leda gains a Predatory Grin before charging at Sir Ansbach who was distracted at the entrance of the strongest Demi-God and runs him though the back with her sword.

'Very clever Lady Leda to strike while I was distracted, a. . .as ruthless as ever.' Sir Ansbach says as his form collapses back into a pool of blood.

with herself powered up I see as Leda looks towards her lord before charging the Swollen Mudora and jumps to take out the giant with her Needle blade.

"I won't let you; I activate my face down, Solemn Judgment, which stops and destroys your monster for half my life points"

as if empowered by their gods Mudora raises his hand and palm thrusts at leda when she approaches, the strike sends her flying and her form disintegrates from the sheer force of the retaliation. 'May the world My lord dream of come to pass.'

Miquella closes his eyes in respect for her loyalty. not missing a beat, I smile that my gut feeling about that card was right.

"It seems Mudora is here to stay."

I shake my head at her words. "no, he isn't, now it's the battle phase and I'll have Radahn attack Mudora."

My words catch her attention, but my action causes a crease to appear in her brow. "Why are you sending your own monster to death."

her words become a reality as Radahn charges the Masked warrior on his horse Leonard with his gigantic blades swinging with ease.

The two monsters enter into a flurry of blows but both me and Ishizu see Mudora overpower the Starscourge and send him flying back, some of the debris is sent flying and hits me hard figuratively.

"Well for one, Radahn's effect only activates when he would lose a battle, for the cost of all materials attached to Radahn, he can do his signature move."

my words become truth as the pair of Meteors behind Radahn crumble into dust before his form takes a crouched form before jumping into the Stratosphere unviewable with duel disk technology.

"Radahn use Meteoric Entry, this will destroy all monsters on your side of the field" as I say this everyone around us can see a streak of red and gold appear using the illusion technology to simulate him appearing from a faraway distance.

The literal meteor strike of the attack lands directly on Mudora destroying its form leaving her field completely empty.

Standing up from the impact completely fine, Radahn readies his blades and raises them to the sky.

"Also, as an additional note, Since Radahn no long has any materials attached to him, his ATK returns to normal, Mogh end this duel."

Mogh Smiles once more since Radahn stole the show but with a strike of his Sacred spear he strikes at Ishizu.
