William calls
Isabel woke up feeling excited for her study session with her friend in the evening.
She dressed in comfortable clothes, a pair of jeans and a t-shirt, and had a light breakfast of scrambled eggs and toast.
She spent the day studying on her own, reviewing her notes and practicing sample exam questions.
Later in the evening, her friend arrived, and they sat down to plan their study schedule for the upcoming final high school exams. As they were discussing their plans, her friend suddenly asked, "So, how's William doing? You two seem to be getting pretty close."
Isabel felt a warm blush spread across her cheeks at the mention of William. She hesitated for a moment before answering, "He's doing well.
He's been busy with work, but we still talk every day."
Her friend grinned mischievously, "Oh really? And what do you two talk about? Anything interesting?"
Before Isabel could answer, her phone rang, and she saw that it was William calling on a video call.
She quickly picked up, and William's handsome face appeared on the screen.
"Hello, my love. How are you doing? Did you miss me?" he said, his voice laced with a teasing tone.
Isabel felt her face grow even hotter at his words, but she managed to stammer out a reply, "H-hi William. I'm doing fine. And, um, yes, I missed you."
William's smile widened, "Good to hear. So, tell me, is there anything you want me to get for you when I come back from China? Maybe some chocolates or a new dress?"
Isabel shook her head, "No, no, that's not necessary.
Just come back safe, okay?"
Her friend looked on with amusement as William continued to tease Isabel, asking if she missed sleeping with him and what kind of presents she would like from him.
Isabel blushed furiously and stammered out a few replies before they ended the call.
As she sat back down with her friend to continue their study session, she couldn't help but smile at the thought of William's playful teasing.
She knew that he genuinely cared for her, and she felt grateful to have him in her life.
