Trapped

It is the middle of the night and Alice has decided to stay with Alex, this is the second night he would be stuck in the suspension of consciousnesses not once has he attempted to move in his sleep, not a wink.

Everything has been absurdly quiet throughout the day, Steel and Clarence on and off come to check on her while Christian has gone out to hunt to keep them a healthy supply of blood.

The sound of the clock on the wall's ticks distracts her from Alex's body stuck in slumber.

Daily visions haunt her, but no one is there to share them with. Who would believe her after all?

A knock on the door takes her away from staring into the clock, "Yes...come in!"

The first person she sees is Dominique, he says nothing at first roaming around the room, her eyes only follow him, "Alice...he isn't going to wake I assure you."

"You would know right?"

"Look...I want to ask you something."

She turns away looking at Alex ignoring him, "Please leave, we have nothing to discuss."

"You seem to believe in some higher destiny, but why?"

"Because I am here as I had imagined..."

Dominique gingerly takes strands of her hair into his hand combing it with his fingers before deeply taking in her scent quickly allowing it to drop back to her shoulders, he stands behind her dunking down to place a stake in her hands.

He helps her position aiming for the middle of Alex's chest, Alice seems placed under an unforeseen trance drawing her arms up about to impale him swiftly bringing it back down with speed stopping mid-air.

She breathes in and out letting it topple from her fingers, the stake slides onto the bed she looks back at Dominique in tears gasping out, "Why...why do you won't kill him so badly?"

Wrapping his arms around her shoulders he cradles her rocking her side to side whispering in her ear, "It's easier this way isn't it?"

Picking the stake back up he attempts himself, but Alice wrestles it from him willfully determined; she ends up biting his hand drawing blood, the stake plummets to the floor.

Dominique withdraws, "I know you can see the cobwebs, Alice!" He says pointing to the corners of the room, in the darkness of the room from the shadows come out a beautiful woman with white hair, she silently glides to Alex's bedside.

"So I wasn't making it up...but who are you?"

She lifts Alex up shifting his body upright, she has a pair of double fangs; she ends up digging into Alex's throat latching onto the skin of his neck before tossing him to the bed taking whatever supply of blood his body had amassed.

"This is my blood pact demon, Avic...she is why Alex is in a slumber."

"He is mine now Alice...come to join me..." She insists, Alice's body began to move on its own; she goes to sit beside her where she finds she is fully paralyzed.

"Don't be scared Alice, Avic only wants what is best for you."Dominique states moving her hair to the side, she once again bares her fangs thrusting them into her neck till she is motionless.

"Now Alice...it is time to sit up, "Avic demands, like a puppet being controlled by unknown strings she pulls herself up, not an inch of emotions sit on her face.

"Your job is now to keep guard over Alex here, when will Christian be back?" Dominique asks.

"Soon..."

"Lovely, I will check on you again soon dearest Alice...come Avic."

The main doors could be heard squeaking open, he peaks down the hall watching Christian minding his own business to abruptly stop him.

Christian only pushes past him looking straight through Dominique only to be interrupted again.

"Please get out of my way Dominique, Master Alex needs me..."

"He needs no one Christian, you are now a vampire aren't you?"

Steel and Clarence have also finally made it home having a brisk conversation down the hall, they spot Dominique and Christian talking to each other.

Christian looks angry, Steel jumps in between them both, "What's going on?"

"Absolutely nothing Lady Steel, I just wanted to chat is all," Dominique replies ambling past them both afterward, Christian takes a gander back till he is out of sight.

They both open the door to see nothing a miss, Alice appears to be resting from the chair with her arms folded, her head downwards as Alex sleeps, "Alice!" Christian calls out to her.

She does not wake, Steel and Christian cram into the room, "Everything okay?"Clarence questions.

"It all looks fine, but why was Dominique here?" Christian inquires unsure how to react, Steel checks the windows and closet in case.

Christian stares up at the sides of the room noticing the increasing cobwebs popping up.

"I will remind Chara the room needs a good cleaning."
