The plan part 1

"Steel..." Doctor asks, Steel merely ignores him while texting on her phone.

"Steel, why are you ignoring me?" Doctor Carol asks again taking small steps behind her poking her on and off, Steel slaps his fingers away.

"Stop that, you idiot."

"Who are you texting Steel?"

"Someone I met on the dark web..." Steel replies, she licks her lips feeling tensed up

"Is this about the House of Datura?"

"Yes...I am not bringing anyone this time."

"Steel you don't even have a sword, unlike Alex..."

"But I have a book and that's enough!" Steel dismisses his words with confidence, Doctor Carol takes the keys from the top of the counter.

"Mind if I come this time?"

"Yeah..." Steel replies gloomily, "They said they could help me..."

"Don't put too much hope into this Steel please." Doctor Carol responds clasping his hands over the broken screen on her phone in her hand.

"I can't do this anymore without Clarence..."

"Please take it easy on yourself Steel." Doctor Carol replies, "I will be waiting okay?"

Chara bursts out of her room to the surprise of everyone, "Lady Steel!"

She shouts clamoring to her feet, "You don't have to call me that anymore!"

"As long as Alex is master, I am still a maid of the house..." Chara answers trembling, she swings her arms out materializing her maid gown.

"Chara...is there a reason you came out?"

Getting down on her knees she kisses the palm of her hand, "For this..."

"What did you just do?"

"If something happens, it's a magick tracker Steel."

She can feel her hand tingling slightly before the feeling fades away, "Thank you..."

Chara curtsies watching her leave out the door, Steel gets into the car forlornly.

"Took you long enough Steel, are you okay?"

"Yeah...Chara has accepted her fate it appears."

"They can rebuild their clan and make it thrive for the next generation."

"I hope this is a good sign, Carol..."

In no time they made it to the town where Clarence had disappeared, it was late into the night, a radio could be heard in the distance.

"Hello, children of the night, I hope we are ready for open lines?" The radio DJ calls out in excitement, Steel takes notice of the old crimson car parked out front of the house of datura.

He flicks his cigarette butt out the window, "It's almost Halloween, sorry." The man replies watching Doctor Carol and Steel gawk at him.

"Are you the one who contacted me then?" Steel questions watching the rogue car listening to normal radio in the middle of the night.

The man dressed in a black suit comes out slamming the car door, "Who else would come here? Humans know it's haunted."

"Oh fuck...so you are a vampire then?" Doctor Carol quizzes.

"I truly hope you are being sarcastic white coat weirdo."

"I sure hope so..." Doctor Carol counters, "I told you not to have high hopes."

"Excuse me?" The man replies holding out printed papers, "What now?"

"You mean you were able to get faxes?" Steel says starry-eyed seeing the papers.

"You are an absolute freak of a woman..." Doctor Carol states marveling at Steel.

"You said you have people being kept inside here?"

"Yes...they have blocked me, so I thank you for the help."

"Best better prepare at least mentally." The man responds, they start to ascend the stairs up the door taking the door knocker banging it hard as he could.

The door is opened by a pair of maids who show them inside, taking the papers with them, down a long corridor they are met by Joesph.

"So you contact an ex-member to get in Steel?"Joseph whispers in her ear, Edwin peeks through the gap of the door letting it spring open.

"Steel, Doctor Carol...you want to talk so let's talk?" Edwin adds.

"Before we go any further, I demand to see Clarence and Alex."

"Every time I let Alex out he causes trouble, but I will allow you to see Clarence."

Steel stomps her feet in dismay, "You kidnapped him and you wonder why?"

Hala brings attention to Clarence who is collapsed on the floor, Steel tries to run over but is stopped, "Not so fast princess..." Edwin states.

"He obviously needs help!" Doctor Carol says with a growl.

"If you can help us then I will return them to you sooner," Edin explains.

"Why would I want to help you?"

Edwin starts to slowly rotate around them both pacing with his hands behind his back, "I told you something is coming..."

"What is coming so terrible that you needed my boyfriend and my clan-mate?"

"I want their possessed treasures, I can use them much better than they can..."

Alice glides into the room dressed comfortably in an overly large sweater, decorated yoga pants, and knitted socks, "Master... Edwin, the room is ready."

"Thank you Alice Darling."

"Alice...she is..."

"I am her true Master Steel, I dare you to take her from me."
