Christian sits down with his legs crossed, his hands supporting him upright; The Devil's Assistant stands there with the look of disappointment in his eyes.
"I should be happy...you are finally fading...but..." The Devil's Assistant says to himself observing him sit with that blank stare on his face.
"Master...you got to..." Christian says in a very small voice almost a whisper staring down at the floor, the Devil cocks his head poking his hands into his pockets.
Marching towards Christian he hunches over listening to what he was saying, his eyes open widely shaking Christian; he leans forward about to fall when the Devil catches him.
Vines snatch the Devil by the legs dragging him to the floor, they start to grow over the top of him.
"What the hell is going on here? Where are these vines coming from?"
The middle of Christian's chest starts to glow a power, a dim light, his aura somehow gradually fixing itself internally, "CHRISTIAN PLEASE SPEAK!"
He continues to mumble as he plucks away the vines smacking away the growing ones binding him, a light behind him blinds him.
The sounds of a child's giggling can be heard in the distance terrifying him.
"Who are you? Please answer!" The Devil responds fearfully for his life, the laughs continue while he tries his best to deflect the plants from growing.
"This isn't your battle Mr. Devil..., but it is time to decide will you stay?"
"Stay..." The Devil replies the vines release him, "Was I not fated?"
"Sort of, but don't let that cloud your judgment Devil."
"What is with the greenery here? Why is his soul growing vines?"
A sword is flung in front of him from above, shortly disappearing, "Mr. Devil..."
"I have chosen him as a soldier for a much gloomy future war when he outgrows his master..."
"Are you telling me Alex will succumb to the vampire dementia..."
"I can not say for sure Mr. Devil, but the future is not set in stone right?"
The Devil's Assistant is awakened by a sudden large bump on the road that shook the whole car, throwing him in the air almost hitting the roof, "Sorry about that Christian, are you okay?" His father says laughing.
"I am okay..." He says getting out with his Dad to the local therapist, she waits outside smoking, her hair sits up in a messy bun.
She flicks the butt to the ground taking a moist towelette out of her pocket quickly unwrapping it and meticulously washing her hands of the tobacco smell.
The father shakes the lady's hands, "I was expecting a child for some reason..." She laughs getting a good look at Christian, he gives her a grumpy look.
"Nah he just needs time to adjust to life again is all, he had been kidnapped."
"You didn't give me a lot of details, well let's talk in my office..." She says.
The woman has him sit outside on the chairs outside of her office, Christian crosses his legs thinking about what just happened unsure how he should react.
"The Crystal Queen is returning..." The Devil mutters, "Who is her heir..."
The lady comes out taking Christian by the hand, his father squeezes his hand.
"I will be back later Christian okay?"
"Okay..."
Inside the room, he was shocked at how comfortable it looked; he was expecting it to be like television where there is a painful and rough-looking couch in the middle of an expensive-looking apartment complex instead it was welcoming.
Looked modern with a long couch, two chairs width length of each other all with patterned pillows and stuffed toys most likely to make a child feel at home.
"Welcome Christian, I am Mrs. Thea and I was told about what happened to you." She explains looking at his registration papers on her clipboard sitting it on the nightstand.
"So what am I supposed to do here anyway?"
She straightens her skirt before sitting down in a chair in front of him as he peeks around the room confused, "Well I was told you had been kidnapped for months and your story had been told on the news Christian."
He blushes, "I guess I was...but I really didn't want to come here."
"Then let's just get you comfortable here today, it doesn't have to be a lot..."
Pausing for a moment he decides he will stick with it, "Okay, but don't tell my father...or mother please..."
"Is there a reason you don't want me to tell them?"
"If you are going to tell them I will walk right out the door, I thought you are not obligated to tell them?" He replies jumping up to his feet, she sees he is distressed.
"I promise, please sit back down!" Mrs. Thea acknowledges. "Please..."
"Fine if it will please you I will tell you everything, but not a word out."
She motions zipping her mouth, being quiet so he can explain what is on his mind.
"Well it all started with a long tall man chasing a kid down the street from where I worked..."
