Gavyn's last words

"It would seem your clan has used a witch to bewitch second in command."

"Bewitched?" Alex queries unsure how to react, "You mean the devil's assistant is a curse?"

"We are tracking the magick down as we speak."

"Gavyn eventually lost his mind…" Alex points out, Christian sits up skeptical.

"Christian will follow his fate as the devil's assistant Master Alex."

"Then we will get rid of the curse," Alex shouts standing up, Clarence hands them a couple of vials of blood still warm.

"We will talk later; Christian hasn't had anything has he?" Clarence replies giving a friendly smile, Christian sits it down on the bed beside him while Alex downs the vial.

He touches his eye lifting the patch rubbing it keeping his eye closed afraid it will be bad if he opens it fully, Clarence pulls out a small pack of tissues handing it to him.

"I will be back, don't leave this room yet please," Clarence responds dashing out of the room.

Alex looks up at Christian who is almost picking at his eye; he bends down blocking with his other hand.

"Christian, can you see me?" A man with hair tied in a bun up top looks him straight in the eyes.

Christian acknowledges quickly he is floating in a large area of black sitting face to face with a man who he knows as the person who gave him the mark, "I can…"

"I need you to understand you will share a mind with another."

"Another?"

"Till you are driven to lose all your memories…"

"What do I do to rid it?"

"The witch of the mountain should be able to help you."

"Why did you let yourself be consumed by the curse?" Christian begs to know.

"Because I felt it was the right thing to do…"

"I will rid the curse and take care of my master on my own!" Christian announces, he places his hands to his mouth, Gavyn only busts out laughing.

"I see…you really like the man you will be serving, I am glad."

"He seems caring enough and he is always there."

"Then that is what matters most of all as a vampire to his humble servant."

"He is always so gloomy…I want to make him happy for once."

"My time with you is finally up Christian, you got everything you need inside if you dare look…"

"But I wanted to know more."

"Sorry kiddo, someday we will meet again. Make sure to take care of Master for me."

"Christian, wake up! Christian, please get a hold of yourself!" Alex and Clarence yell and shout calling his name, Christian's eyes open bit by bit.

"Where am I?"

"We were about to get Doctor Carol a second more Christian," Alex states almost crying.

"Master…" Christian says warmly embracing him. "I have accepted you are my Master."

"Christian…you don't have to."

"I don't know…something is coming over me."

"You need to take it easy Christian; you just had a fainting spell!" Clarence reminds him distressed, he picks the vial of blood up next to Christian handing it back to him.

"Please you need to drink…" Alex urges, "You must be starving.

"You need to eat after that spell Christian, this isn't a healthy start," Clarence asks nicely, Christian takes it in his hand slowly drinking every drop.

Looking at the empty vial he rolls it around his hands, "I need to see the Witch of the mountain…"

"How do you know that name, Christian?" Clarence asks.

"I saw Gavyn…I am not letting this kill me."

"You saw Gavyn Christian?" Alex speaks up shocked.

"He passed on finally…one day I will pass this."

Alex shakes Christian by the shoulders; he notices the look of being content on his face. "Snap out of it Christian…do not get comfortable like this!" Alex shouts getting emotional when a knock on the door distracts them.

Alice and Steel stand in the doorway, "Clarence is everything okay in here?" Steel questions puzzled.

"Christian had a fainting spell Lady Steel; he hadn't had blood till now."

"Alex, will you stay with Christian a bit longer before you explore?"

"I don't plan to leave him Lady Steel…"

"What a good Master you are." She says with a smile. "Come, Alice, we got places to be."

"I am coming to Lady Steel!" Clarence shouts clamoring to the door, "Rest more please!"
