Disciple of Wisdom

Hala comes in with a book in her hands to the medical room as Alex lays on his side being held by Shimon as the doctor worked, "They say a human can not take anymore than thirty-nine lashes...Master Edwin seemed unhappy with this little one here to do more."

She glances at Clarence giving him bedroom eyes, she brings her fingers up to her mouth making inappropriate gestures, he reddens at the thought.

Pulling her hood down she stands to watch, "Shimon you will also receive punishment for allowing your guard down around him..."

"Fine...whatever will please Edwin."

"After you send him to his room your punishment will start shortly after."

"This is wrong..." Clarence states angered, Joseph strolls in laughing at Clarence.

"What is wrong? He was told not to go outside of the room and others had spotted him and reported him..."

"You get off on humiliation, have not learned humility after what we been through Joseph?"

"Please...we have things to take care of, stop having sympathy for him. You are forbidden to accompany him, Clarence."

Clarence pushes out of the seat visibly upset, "He needs someone to sit with him!"

"He will be fine, Shimon hand me that other vial." Joseph requests, Shimon does as he is told giving the vial to Joseph; laying on the bed he props Alex on his knees slowly pouring the medicated blood into his mouth.

"How did you know I had that?"

"This place is full of secrets Shimon, you need to watch your back."

"What is my punishment?"

"I am not allowed to say...Alex will sleep long enough for you to recover."

Shimon gently lifts Alex after he is re-dressed, "Shimon, we will be up later to check on him." A nurse replies noting his serious expression.

"I appreciate that...thank you."

"Okay so for you Clarence," Hala explains smiling, "You have something special."

"I have nothing that Joseph doesn't have, you don't need me."

"While that is true, we did learn you are disciple bearer..."

"Like under the Crystal Queen? That's impossible." Clarence says in complete surprise, Hala once again lets her fingers dance around his back.

"A child will make herself known in these trying times, a false king will make himself seen as a true ruler and her disciples will rise."

"I have seer sight Clarence...you will protect a new kingdom million of years from now." Hala clarifies laying her hand on his heart.

"We need to test the theory of her vision Clarence... a disciple of wisdom."

Hala drags him along out of the medical facility back into the room where Alex was beaten, the doors close slam shut.

Joseph and Hala are nowhere in sight, turning his attention to the front of him Hala pushes him forward where he feels paralyzed.

A large sigil appears under his feet, a second one rotates under it; a beam of light shoots out streaming intense energy through his body, he could feel fingers and hands trying to dissect the inside of his soul.

Tugging sensation makes him drop to the ground, "That's enough Ruka..."

"What...just...happened..." He asks to gasp out for air, Hala struts over looking down at him with her unseeing eyes, he feels a sudden aggressive aura fighting all his senses.

"It's the wrong spell...I am going to have to try again." Hala responds squatting down steadily dragging her fingers through his hair.

He retracts, "I am not giving you anything!" Clarence yells back at her, he looks back to see Joseph only watching.

"Little brother you do not have a choice anymore..."

"Am I going to be held in a room like Alex if I don't?" Clarence argues.

"I would rather not since you are not Edwin's captive, you are mine."

"We want you to become a member Clarence for your safety," Hala explains.

"I don't want to...I want to go home, Joesph!"

"If you attempt to leave Clarence...I will kill Steel..."

He bows over feeling bothered enough to cry, Hala bends over Clarence clinging tightly to him in a gentle embrace, "Don't cry...you aren't alone...Ruka..."

A shadowy hand reaches through his chest grabbing tight to everything inside, he howls in pain trembling the more he strains to boost himself up.

Clarence digs his nails into the floor slowly creeping, pulling his legs along, his bones feel as though they are being scraped, his bowels stung internally.

The entity was scouring through every part of his being, he had to squeeze his eyes shut as it was peering in till he could no longer move any further.

Hala patted him on the head, he pants for breathe, "Did you see it Ruka?"

She listens closely gawking back at Clarence resting on the floor unable to continue, "So what did you find Hala?"

"It's there, but it's sealed..."

"I see...I will contact a friend later then, thank you Hala." Joseph replies hoisting Clarence up around his shoulder.

"He will recover soon enough, make sure he eats later," Hala responds smiling.

"The Crystal Queen is much better at magick than I anticipated..."

"You should really report this to Edwin, Joseph. You shouldn't hide this from him after all...Alex soon will be shattered and relieved of clan status."

"Fine..."
