...A siren sound echoes around the Base 228 hallway me and Chief security Mizuho run towards escape door when suddenly Large claw grab Chief security Mizuho pull him away I point my Rifle towards where Chief security Mizuho were pull. Suddenly a giant red Ants appear Infront of me I decided to fire but I spot Chief security Mizuho were entangled at its mouth call me by my name to shot. My heart was racing seeing the horrors Infront of me i never picture my first day work will turn up like this as I almost pull a trigger a gun shot coming from afar the Giant ants dash towards other positions where the gun shot coming. I hearing people voice shouting but I didn't catch what it is after few minutes the guns sound went silent and people voice came back I quickly running there to see what happens but my concerns is Chief security Mizuho safety but what I found is horrible Chief body were splitting in two his face were mauled there's no resembles of him left his arms scattered seeing this for first time makes me sick.

I noticed three EDF Rangers examined the Giant ants carcass and one of them sees me and began approach me slowly " A Citizen... here? " he looked at me with questionable face I introduced myself " My name is Kyle Brennan and I was Security assigned at Base 228 and this is first day sir" I tried to kept calm the Rangers were just smile and replied " Call me Rick same as you I also were assigned here first day along with my friends Tito and Van" he pointed to the two others Rangers. Rick was 6'feet and has stoic body Tito has tall slender body while Van was the shortest he's 5'8. After exchanging greet Rick decided we should heading surface to see the situation according to Van he tried to call HQ but no response from other side as we walk through the base we face a lot of Giant ants lurking around the base hallway Rick and his squad managed to kill most of them to save me since I am the only citizen here As we getting near surface we sees more dead body and Damage Battle tank plus Exo suit Lynx Wreckage around the hallway. " I know these people They from 44th Tank Battalion" Van say as we walk pass the dead body some are mutilated others were splits into small parts as we pass through pile of dead body we reached path towards went up to surfaces but Rick order everyone to keep walking while watching surrounding area turns out the path was blocked by rubble.

" Dead end....damn " Rick sighing since any of us doesn't know much about this base due to our first day job Rick order us to return back below and take other pathways that reach huge hangar we take few times to rest Van and Tito do guard watching. As we sat Rick tell his story that he joined EDF when Alien invaded New York and he lost his Daughter and wife Tito actually was former UN peacekeeping soldiers stationed near Siberia border. Tito survive after his squad leader pull him off from swarm attack as for Van he was just Clerk worker he lost his family during first Invasion.

" So what about you Kid how I the world end up here" Van ask while Rick chime in I begin my story i was a student during the invasion when UN launch EDF Program I decided to sign in I was hoping to pass as Rangers or Wing rider but I failed every classmates laugh at me due to my incompetence even my crush Brigitte were embarrassed by my failure. I left the Program and applied a job and I got security job I was sent here under Chief security Mizuho and three more security not until siren sound begin chime in back then I was with Chief security Mizuho to check my routine we pass group of EDF forces and UN peacekeeping Forces follow by tank battalion and Exo suit Lynx went towards surface that's how I end up here.

Rick and other were bit surprised I looked them back with confused face Van tap my shoulders and say " It's alright Kid if you want to join EDF I can help you" hearing his answer I just shook my head shown I might failed again everyone laughed together. After rest we continue walking through pathways passing a lot of dead body most of EDF soldiers and UN peacekeeping soldiers also dead Carcass of giant ants we reach another path towards up to surface.

" let's hope this path doesn't blocked" Rick jokes we walked slowly Van and Tito watch from back while Rick and me In front but suddenly a rumbling shake the ground and sound of gunshot came from strong door that leads to surface. Rick order Van to open the Door and order others to prepare for worst my heart was pounding fast nervous, scared and anxiety consumed me but Rick tap my shoulders to reassure me everything will be fine Van make a sign to ready as he open the door...
