'I don't know how much time has passed, and I don't even know when I'll finally reach my destination,' I thought as I felt my body being drifted in the seamlessly endless void.

I couldn't open my eyes nor can I move, so the only thing I can do to tell where am I? Is to depend on my instincts.

'Uh, has it been a millennium? Or just a second? Honestly, I, myself don't know that. I hope I can find be free from this place,' I thought as I drifted away, away and away to a place I don't know.

But then suddenly, I felt like I finally reached where I was supposed to as I heard the sound of cracking.

CRACK!! CRACK!!

"Finally, after so much time, I can finally open my eyes," I unexpectedly spoke as I previously thought I couldn't.

I was slightly surprised by my voice as my voice was kind of rough? Is that the effect of my vocal cord not being developed fully right now?

And as I finally, slowly open my eyes, all I saw was a distorted space.

"Huh! Where the hell am I? Sigh! Is my destiny to wander around the void?" I said with a sigh as I was honestly bored of the space.

"Uh, yeah! I got a system but how do I call him? System? Devour System? Godly system?" I said with a confused tone.

[Ding, Congratulations on awakening the "Devour" System!] A monotonous, emotionless voice sounded in my head.

"So, finally! You're also here system! Tell me, where am I? Wasn't I supposed to be in the Highschool DxD world?" I asked with a tinge of confusion as I haven't seen a place like this in the anime.

Yeah, I'm an avid DxD anime fan but I haven't watched the novel of it yet as I was planning to read it sometime later but I was brought here by the God, so, fuck that.

[Host, you're currently In the space known by the supernatural being of the Highschool DxD as the "Dimensional Gap."]

"Oh, so I'm in that place, huh? Wait, I need to get out of here quickly! Least the Ouroboros Dragon Ophis or the Great Red saw me and decided to kill me for their amusement!" I said with my eyes widening at that thought and as I was about to try to run away from here, I heard the system.

[You don't have to worry about these two as they aren't born yet.]

"What? Does that mean I'm in the far past? Before the top being of the DxD world wasn't born yet! Hahaha, it seems lady luck is on my side." I said as I laughed with an evil smile at that prospect.

"And which race am I?" I said as I analyzed my body.

My body was covered in black scales and I had a tail also and my body was kind of small. The size of a 10-year-old kid.

I then move my hand and saw instead of a 5-fingered hand, I saw a black paw covered in scales and quite sharp nails.

Then, I tapped my head and I realized that I had 2 curvy long horns.

"Haha, I look like a mixture of a devil and a dragon!" I laughed seeing my body, but this laugh was of pure happiness.

"System! Can you show me my status?" I said as I heard the system's reply.

[Yes, I can show you your status. Would you like to view it?]

"Heck yeah! Show me!" I said with an excited grin etched on my face.

Seeing my status, I had a large grin on my face seeing that I was already an ultimate class being.

You know, in Highschool DxD, there weren't a lot of ultimate class beings and I was already an ultimate class being the moment I was born.

"Muhahahahahah, if the devils knew of this, I'm sure they would cough out blood and say 'Why is it so unfair?' With tears of blood flowing out of their eye— oh, wait! They aren't even born yet. Heck, even the world isn't completely formed so why bother with that? Ahahahahahahaha!!!" I laughed out loud causing my voice to echo in the empty Dimensional gap.

"System! How many years left before Ophis and Great Red, Big G are born?" I said it with a curious smile.

[Exactly, 100 Thousand years, 5 months, 1 week, and 1 day left before they all are born!] It replied in its usual monotonous, emotionless tone but I was already getting used to it, so I didn't mind it that much.

"Sigh! I guess I have to get used to being a being with a limitless lifespan so that I won't die of boredom before I can even use my ability 'Devour' but I should make a kingdom of my own when the time comes!" I said with an evil grin before I fell asleep and slept while levitating with the help of the flight ability.
