Vs Fallen Angels 1

I hurriedly made my way towards the park. It's already a little bit late at the twilight hours.

A while after I noticed a barrier separating the human world into a different spatial dimension.

Issei was there, and also a middle aged man in a coat with dark fallen angel wings.

The fallen angel middle aged man noticed me and stopped as soon as he noticed me.

"Another intruder? Who are you, and how did you enter this place?" he said to me pointing a spear of light in my direction.

Issei noticed the strange situation and looked behind him and widened his eyes when he saw me.

"Hikari?!" he stuttered.

I didn't respond and only hold my eyes to the fallen angel. I walked step by step and moved past Issei behind me.

The fallen angel looked intimidated and held onto his spear, "Why won't you answer my question?"

"Because there's no use talking to a dead man."

And then before he could even perceive what happened, the fallen angel felt a strange power locking him in place. As if he could never escape.

"N-NO!!"

"Hmph."

I disappeared and reappeared next to him and delivered a viscous punch that he wasn't able to perceive cracking several of his bones. Next I continued punching and kicking, beating him around the park like a toy.

"Impossible!" a shocked look appeared on his face

A bright light appeared from my hand and waved it to the fallen angel. It fatally injured him but only enough to keep him alive.

The fallen angel fell down on his knees and coughed out blood caused by multiple internal injuries. Broken bones and muscle were found anywhere the eye could see.

"I'm sorry for that Issei-kun. But you can go home now. I'll take it from here."

"B-but Hikari?! Why are you here? And what's happening to this situation?" Issei clearly would like an answer from everything strange happening to him as a newly revived Devil. He doesn't understand anything about the supernatural world.

"That isn't my job. Someone will come and will tell you eventually. For now I need you to leave."

With a tap of my finger to his forehead, he fell asleep. I didn't see the need to erase his memories and put anything new so I just put him to sleep. And then his body automatically left the spatial dimension.

With our protagonist leaving the scene, I turned back to business. I stomped him at the back of his head forming cracks on the floor. "So now where were we?"

...

I returned home...

"I'm hoome~" I greeted

"Ahh! Onii-chan, you already got home late! Where did you go?" A cute voice greeted me. It was a little girl in middle school wearing an apron. She's my little sister, my only family in this world, Hikari Hanabi.

"Ohh, I've got an errand to do from Rias-senpai." I said.

"Rias-oneesama? Hmm, I guess that's okay!" she nods her head in understanding.

"Alright, the bathtub already has warm water in it. Onii-chan could take a bath first and eat dinner afterwards."

"Hehe, thanks Hanabi. You're the best then I'll take upon your offer." I smiled patting her head.

And then I went straight to the bathroom and took a bath. After a tiring day of work, a long hot bath took my fatigue away.

I dressed up and ate dinner. Hanabi already finished eating by herself first, so she's now watching anime in TV on the sofa.

"How's practice?"

"So so, I got the hang of it."

"That's good news then."

I finished my dinner in silence and then took a bath then slept immediately.

The next couple of days I continued going to school.

If I remember it correctly, it was about this time that Asia got introduced in the anime.

I tailed behind Issei and unsurprisingly he met with Asia.

"Aieeeee!"

"A-are you okay?" Issei asked as he approached her, holding out his hand to help her up.

"Owww. Why do I keep tripping...? Oh, I'm so sorry. Thank you!"

It's like fate. A nun and a devil with their budding forbidden love with each other.

Issei then did a foolish thing as a devil, assisting a nun to go towards a church. But since he's a newbie devil, he wasn't educated enough yet.

The next morning I noticed that Issei was absent for the whole day. I contacted Rias-senpai and got to know that he suffered yesterday when a stray priest was staying on his client's home and injured him with a Light based power, which is lethal to devils.

Knowing that I decided to look for him after the school ended.

"...Asia?"

"...Issei?"

And then I discovered them in the same place and time, at the park. From the looks on their faces, it didn't seem like they planned it out to meet in this place.

And Issei was with Asia, one thing lead to another they were together hanging out the entire day.

I was spying and eavesdropping on them when they entered a really sensitive background story of Asia.

Then, she began to explain her fate as a Holy Maiden.

Being left in a church as a baby. She was raised from young with deep spirituality. And when she turned eight, she awakened her Sacred Gear to heal an injured puppy.

Starting there her life entered another stage. She was sent to the Vatican and everyone respected her as a Holy Maiden. She didn't have anyone she could call a 'friend', so she was lonely the entire time. The only thing that kept her going was that she's using her healing powers to the people which satisfied her and made it her purpose to help those in need.

One day everything changed. She had stumbled upon an injured devil and healed

its wounds. After she wasn't the type to ignore someone's suffering, devil or not.

She was discovered, and because of it Asia was ostracized and discriminated against calling her a Demon Worshipping Witch.

"...My prayers weren't enough. I'm sure of it. Look at me; I'm so clumsy, so incompetent. I couldn't even order a hamburger by myself..."

Without knowing it I came to empathize with her. Sacred Gear users were bound to have a miserable and tragic fate. Only a few of them could be fortunate.
