Chapter 12

"Fenna, when I ask you to jump, you have to jump. Understand?" Ragnar spoke firmly to Fenna.

"What? But why?" Fenna looked very confused by Ragnar's request.

"Just do it! Understand?" Ragnar shouted loudly, showing his determination.

"Alright!" Fenna answered with an equally loud voice, showing her readiness to follow Ragnar's instructions.

Ragnar quickened his pace as he approached his goal. Every second felt like a race against time. With gasping breaths, he prepared himself for the final action.

Without hesitation, Ragnar punched the wall in front of him. Miraculously, the floor beneath them began to disappear, revealing a bottomless abyss. Without thinking twice, Ragnar and Fenna ran forward, just as the floor started to vanish, until finally.

"Now! Jump!" Ragnar shouted loudly, indicating the right moment for the final action. Without hesitation, they both jumped, freeing themselves from the disappearing floor beneath their feet. Fenna landed safely, but Ragnar, with his smaller body, did not land perfectly. He hung on the edge of the emerging hole, struggling hard to climb back up.

Seeing Ragnar's situation, Fenna immediately grabbed his hand, helping Ragnar climb back up. The two of them turned to face the Goblin Varian, who stared at them with a deadly gaze. Ragnar took a deep breath, feeling relieved that they had survived the life-threatening danger.

"Thank goodness we made it. If not, I don't know what would have happened," Ragnar said, his eyes sharply looking at Fenna.

"Well, we were lucky enough to survive," Fenna replied, nodding her head. With deep gratitude, they continued their journey.

Ragnar and Fenna continued their journey cautiously, stepping slowly through the corridor. Their bodies felt heavy after going through quite a lot, and finally, they decided to stop for a moment, huddling together to rest briefly.

After a few minutes of rest, they decided to continue their journey. They realized that time was ticking, and they had to keep moving.

Not long after, Ragnar and Fenna encountered three more Goblins in a narrow corridor. Without hesitation, Ragnar stepped forward, leading the attack with his incredible speed. His sword moved swiftly, inflicting a great wound on one of the Goblins, then striking the Goblin on the left with his shield before kicking the Goblin on the right.

Seeing the opportunity, Fenna swiftly appeared to finish off a wounded Goblin with a slash. With her extraordinary strength, she quickly and decisively ended the Goblin's life.

Immediately after that, a two-on-two battle began. Ragnar and Fenna worked together with perfect coordination, protecting and attacking efficiently. Their attacks were well-coordinated, and in the end, they managed to defeat the remaining two Goblins.

With gasping breaths and tired bodies, Ragnar and Fenna felt relief after winning the battle. They looked at each other with a relieved smile, knowing that they had overcome a tough fight and emerged as winners. With hearts pounding.

Ragnar then took the Monster Core and divided it with Fenna, after which they continued their journey, still having plenty of time until they were expelled from the Black Tower.
