Nineteen: Experience of a very normal life

"There is a crack on his leg's bone. It will take time to heal. I am giving some medicine to make sure he will have a full rest for next week. After a week, come to check up again. Got it?" said the doctor.

"Yes, doctor." replied Lina gently.

"And here's a prescription for getting out of this trauma. He acted like he is fine but actually he is not. So, make sure he takes these medicines. And also make him busy by getting a job instead of driving." said the doctor.

"Yes, Thank you!" said Lina and went out from there.

"What did the doctor say?" asked Dae Ju.

"He said that you have to take rest for another week. And also he gave some other medicines.

"What? Not again! I become too sleepy whenever I take those medicines. This is not fair! I am fine!" said Dae Ju with a cute voice like he was insisting to his mom for candy.

"But you need those pills to get over your injury. And I need you to be healthy so you can earn money. Got it?" said Lina.

"What?" surprised Dae Ju. That's why she is behaving so nicely! Now I can get it! It's not for love! It's for money! Ah! "Money can make your enemy your friend!" said Dae Ju slowly.

"Did you say anything?" asked Lina.

"No," replied Dae Ju.

"Then, let's go home," said Lina. She bought some medicine and started walking. Dae Ju followed her but suddenly he turned back and went inside the hospital.

"What? Where did he go?" said Lina when she couldn't find him. Dae Ju came to the room. There was Min Jae sitting outside the room.

"Who are you?" asked Min Jae. He was doing something on his phone. He could realize that someone is going near the room where his hyung is lying.

"Yes?" surprised Dae Ju.

"Who-o are you?" asked Min Jae while looking at his face. He did not look at him before. So he was surprised now because he couldn't recognize him.

"I am a fan. I just came here to see him with my own eyes." said Dae Ju.

"Then, take a look and go away." said Min Jae. Dae Ju felt bad because of his behavior. But he is always like that. Dae Ju wanted to share how he spent his past week but Min Jae would not believe him. That's why he didn't say anything else and looked at his soulless body. It was lying like someone made him sleep for the rest of his life. He needs a princess who will come to save him. But, actually that was not the truth. No kisses can make someone get up from their deep sleep.

"Just hang in there, I will surely come back to you. I promise." said Dae Ju to his body. Then he returned on the way back home. When he came outside, he saw Lina was sitting on a bench. She was looking too tired. Maybe she was running or finding him when he was not with her.

"Where did you go? You know, how much I was worried about you?" said Lina with a soft but hard voice.

"I am sorry." said Dae Ju.

"Sorry? You think sorry can solve any problem? It's too easy to say when you are not sorry but it's hard when you actually feel sorry." said Lina and looked at him with a poker face.

"I just went to see how Kim Dae Ju is doing. I was just curious." said Dae Ju. "Ah! How is he now? I heard that he will be transferred to a big hospital." said Lina. Now she calmed down and started talking gently like always.

"What? Which hospital?" asked Dae Ju surprisingly.

"I don't know. But I heard that it's in America." said Lina.

"What? America? But why? Aren't Korean doctors good enough?" asked Dae Ju shockingly.

"It's not like that. But he will be fine by getting better treatment. Americans are too good at these things. But, Why are you so excited? They will do what they think is good for him!" said Lina and started walking fast.

"Wait for me!" said Dae Ju and followed her.

"Uh!" screamed Dae Ju.

"What happened? Are you alright?" Lina ran to him. She was quite far from him and as he can't walk so fast, he had to act like he was in pain. "That's why I am telling you to walk slowly!" Dae Ju said loudly.

"I am sorry. But can you walk by yourself? I can't rent a taxi now. I have no money now." asked Lina slowly and worriedly.

"Yes," replied Dae Ju.

"Then, you can hold my arm. Since I can't carry your tall body, I can help you to walk." said Lina gently.

"No, I am okay." saying this he starts to walk.

"Okay, As per your wish." said Lina. Now she is the one who followed him. They reached near a shop and Lina stopped. "Hey! Come here! Isn't it looking so tasty?" saying this Lina showed a strawberry chocolate cake.

"Yes, really. It's looking very tasty." said Dae Ju. He also likes chocolate cake. And he wants to eat that but as they were out of money, they couldn't buy it. "Let's go." said Lina and move from there. When they reached home, Lina went to the washroom and Dae Ju turned on the TV. Suddenly Lina's phone started ringing which was on the table beside Dae Ju. He was hesitating to receive the call as he didn't know who it was. But the phone was ringing continuously so Dae Ju had to receive it.

"Hello!" said Dae Ju.

"Hey! Did you ignore my call again?" shouted from the other side. Dae Ju held the phone in his hand and checked what was the name of the caller. The name was saved as "Witch of the west". "Who-o are you?" asked Dae Ju.

"Ah! Mr. Rumi! Thank god that I finally reached you!" said the lady with a hard voice.

"Pardon me?" said Dae Ju gently.

"If you can't give me my rent within a week, I will surely kick both of you out of my house. Am I clear?" shouted the lady.

"Yes?" surprised Dae Ju.

"Act like you don't know anything! Haha! What a joke. Then I should remind you that you haven't paid the house rent for five months! Remember now? If you don't give me at least three month's rent within the next Sunday, I will surely kick you out of my house. Got it? Now I am hanging up. I hope you understand!" shouting this the lady hung up the call. Dae Ju couldn't understand what just happened and why this happened. He took a long breath and tried to understand the situation. That time Lina came to him and seeing his shocking face she asked, "What happened? Is everything alright?"

"Yes? Someone called you the Witch of the West and I received the call." replied Dae Ju.

"What! You received the call? What did she say?" shocked Lina.

"Ah! You named her very well. She really is a witch. She just kept scolding me and I couldn't say anything!" said Dae Ju. Lina got afraid and she moved aside.

"I am sorry. I could not give her the money because I lost my previous job and I had to work for a very low salary. That's why....." Lina looked at the floor while saying this. What? Why is she so afraid? Is it her duty to pay the rent? Wasn't it her husband's duty to take care of it? Then why is she sorry? He should be sorry instead of her. He was really surprised and couldn't understand what was going on here.

"E-he! Come on! We will find a solution together! Why are you sorry?" said Dae Ju and tried to smile but he couldn't smile while seeing her sad face. She just got out of the shower so she was looking so beautiful with her wet hair. She doesn't have a hairdryer to dry her hair. But she looks more beautiful with her wet hair. Her lips were shaking out of fear but when she heard that from him, she became calm and asked with a very soft voice, "Then, aren't you angry with me?" "No! It's my duty to take care of it! Why would I be angry with you!" Dae Ju said with a loud voice.

"But, you have to pay your debt, that's why it was my duty," said Lina hesitatingly.

"What debt?" surprised Dae Ju again. "Are you kidding me right now?" said Lina and looked at him.

"Ah! I really can't remember. Can you please tell me?" said Dae Ju and looked at her with a questionable eye.

"You really changed after the accident. You will remember within a few days. But until then, I want you to stay tension free. So that I was able to see your kind and nice side." said Lina and smiled shyly. Dae Ju looked at her and seeing her smile, something went inside his chest. He felt very heavy inside him and suddenly his breath stopped for a moment. He could understand that his face was turning hot and red. To avoid this, Dae Ju made a sound of coughing and said, "I am hungry. Can you give me some food?"

"Ah! Yes. There is rice and curry in the fridge. I will go and make it hot." saying this Lina left from there.

"But you already make me hot. I am sweating right now! In this cold! Why? Why did I just feel like that? What was that about? I never felt like this before! Ah! I am going crazy!" said Dae Ju in his mind and made a very disappointed face. After some time, Lina came back and said, "Come to the living room. Dinner is ready." Dae Ju stood up and went to the table.

"Won't you eat? Why is there just one serving?" asked Dae Ju.

"No, I have already eaten." said Lina with a fake smile.

"Ah!" saying as he started to eat. Though it was not fresh, it was tasty. So he finished everything and got up. Lina was looking at him from afar and smiled. She hadn't eaten yet but she was feeling full just by watching him. And also there was no food left that she could eat. Felt like she had succeeded just by having this moment. She was busy all day just searching for a job but she couldn't get any. But she felt happy now.

"Take it." Lina gave him some medicine. Dae Ju took those and drank those pills with water immediately. He took his phone and searched for the new schedule of "EXTREME" . They are doing well without him but it's clearly seen on everyone's face that they are missing him. In every video, news they just pray for him and tell him how much they are missing him. He went to the bedroom and lay down on the bed. He was watching the videos one by one. And every time when they all said together that they love him very much and they are missing him very much, he got emotional. There was even a video where everyone was crying for him. Watching those videos, he couldn't control his emotions. Pearls like water were dropped from his eyes and his throat started aching. It happened every time whenever he got emotional. He couldn't do anything but to wipe his eyes. "I miss you too, guys!" said Dae Ju while crying. "I can't get out of this body. If I could, I would surely come back to you." saying this Dae Ju wiped his eyes once again. "What happened?" asked Lina and entered. Seeing her, Dae Ju wiped his face properly and replied,

"Nothing! I was just feeling guilty. Because of me he has to stay like a statue." Lina could understand that he was talking about Dae Ju. She condoles him and sits beside him.

"Don't blame yourself. It wasn't your fault. It happened because it was written on his destiny. Nobody could change that." saying this Lina looked at his face and was surprised.

"What? Are you crying?" asked Lina with a very surprised face because she never saw him cry. When she told that, Dae Ju couldn't hold his tears anymore and let them fall like fountains.

"Hey! Why are you crying? It doesn't suit you." said Lina with a very gentle and sweet voice.

"I miss them. I can't live like this anymore. I want to go back to my past life. I-i-i...." he couldn't tell more than that because of his tears. Lina wiped his eyes with her own hand but it didn't dry. He was getting more and more emotional, how much sympathy she was shown. Lina holds him and hugs him for the first time. She couldn't say anything because the last time she saw him like this was when their parents died. She patted his back and consoled him as everything will be fine. But Dae Ju put his head on her chest and was crying like a little baby.
