8 two: Care for each other?

"Lina-ah!" Dae Ju's voice reached to Lina. She can hear him but she can't see him as it was dark. The moonlight didn't fall on the place where Dae Ju was.

"Where are you?" Lina said with a loud voice.

"Up here!" he said with a little voice from somewhere. Lina looked up and saw that he was hanging with something near his window. He was holding something and he nearly slipped because the stairs moved from their place. There was a stair made of bamboo kept there which Lina also didn't know about.

"Where did it come from?" she asked and hold it.

"That's not important right now! Just keep it in the right position so I can stand on it," he said as soon as possible. Seems like he was rapping instead of talking.

"Ah! Okay!" Lina also realized that she needs to keep it near him. She put it in its right place and Dae Ju stood on it.

"Ah! I am relieved!" he said. He found a way to get inside so he went inside by the window. He thought he needs to go down and open the door as Lina was waiting for him. So he rushed to the door and opened it. He searched for her but this time she was not there.

"Lina-ah! Lina-ah!" he called her but she didn't reply to him.

"Where did she go?" he said to himself. "Lina-ah!" he shouted again.

"What?" she asked from inside. Dae Ju looked back and found her.

"What? How did you get inside?" he surprised.

"Just like you did." she smiled. Dae Ju never expects that and that's why he gets embarrassed.

"Ah! You climbed up?" he said with a shy voice.

"Yes. But why you hid it from me? If you said it earlier I could have to do something with that. And I might have more careful." she said as she was disappointed.

"I am sorry." he looked down.

"Ah, right! Tell me one thing." suddenly he remembered something and looked at her with curious eyes.

"What?" she looked around and saw the condition of the house. It was nice. Neat and clean as Dae Ju cleaned it before Detective Park arrest him.

"Where did you go? I mean, I couldn't find you anywhere! I was so worried."

"Ah! The thing is...." she doesn't want to tell him the truth.

"What?" he was suspecting on her by seeing her double-minded face.

"Yeon Hoon took me to his home," she said and look at him. He got shocked and seeing his this face she looked another way.

"What did you just say?" he thought he was hearing wrong.

"You heard me, don't you?" she said with a very low voice so that he can't hear her.

"No! I mean, you said me earlier that you won't meet him again! So, how could you go to his home directly?" he said with his own style.

"Ah! I didn't go to meet him! He was following me since morning and....." she couldn't say the rest how he dragged her in the playground and stuck her with the tree.

"What? He was following you! Ah! This kid is really testing my patience level!" he was angry at Yeon Hoon.

"But, if you don't want to go then how could he took you to his home?" he wanted the answer.

"I passed out and when I opened my eyes I saw I was in his room," she said hesitatingly.

"You passed out? Really? Are you fine now? What happened to you? I am sure you skipped your meal! Don't you?" he was quite aggressive. He locked the door again and came to her.

"No! It was because of you! I was supposed to die! But I am quite strong! You were really scary." she lost in somewhere and said.

"I know you can never forget about that. I am really sorry for that. I didn't know it could be that serious if I forget to do what he said." his voice was sad when he said that. He went to her and hold her hands.

"Can you ever forgive me?" he looked at her eyes. They were sparkling beautifully.

"I know it was not you," she said and looked up. He doesn't know why she looked up but she was looking beautiful. Suddenly his heart starts beating fast again and he couldn't control himself. "Lina-ah!" he called her.

"What?" she looked at him with questionable eyes.

"Whenever you remember me, the real me, please don't think about those bad memories. Instead of that incident, please remember about this." saying this he bends down a little to reach her and kissed her lips.

"I love you," he said while whispering. He gulped and felt that he has a very strange feeling. He never felt something like that before. He wanted to kiss her again and again until he gets tired but he didn't think about what she wants.

"What are you doing? Just stay away!" she pushed him away. By getting pushed he moved backward and looked at her with pitiful eyes.

"Didn't you like it?" he asked.

"No way! Aish! I am disgusted!" she said with a disgusting look.

"Then why you didn't tell anything when I kissed you last time?" he surprised.

"When? Where?" seems like she forgets about the precious night.

"The new year night! When we were walking on the overbridge! When we were returning from the concert! Don't you remember?" he asked surprisingly.

"Ah! I remember about that! You wanted to kiss me? Ah! That's why I was saying why you were behaving so strange!" she said with a smiling face. She remembered about the night very well. And when they were walking on the overbridge, it was full of people. That's why they couldn't even walk properly. But Dae Ju was looking at her like he never saw anything like her before. He was walking behind her. Suddenly he came and make a weird face. He pouts in front of her but she didn't understand what he was doing. He wanted to hold her hand but she saw that many people were looking at them so she pushed him away and he falls to the ground.

"I didn't? Then, was it my imagination? Ah! I don't know what is a dream and what is the reality now!" he felt like betrayed get disappointed. He sat on the couch like he was very sad.

"Go to your room. I am very sleepy as I couldn't sleep last night. I need to sleep." she said and stood in front of him.

"You couldn't sleep? Why? You said you were with Yeon Hoon." he surprised.

"That's why I couldn't sleep! He is too much energetic!" she acted like she is done with him.

"What? What do you mean by he is energetic? What did he do with you?" he stood up and asked as if the sky has been broke on his head and he couldn't believe anything around him.

"He played games all night! He didn't sleep and didn't let me sleep for a single minute!" she sat down as if nothing happened.

"Ah! Games? I am relieved!" he felt relaxed and cover his face with his hands.

"Why? What did you think? What did we do?" Lina asked surprisingly. Dae Ju thought something else and that's why he was suspecting her but when he heard opposite answer he felt relieved.

"No! Nothing at all!" he smiled to cover his guilt.

"Go and get some sleep." she leaned on the couch and said.

"But, can I ask you a favor?" he remembered something and asked.

"What?" she closed her eyes and asked. "Don't spend much time with him." Dae Ju said as if it's his ending time and he is begging for his last wish.

"Don't worry! I don't think he will come to me again if he has any self respect." she opened her eyes and sighed.

"Why?" he felt curious. But suddenly a strange sound came from his stomach. He remembers that he didn't eat anything for the last two days so he was hungry. But seeing her back, he forgot everything but his stomach didn't forget it. The sound continued for two or three times and it was so loud that Lina could hear it. She looked at him with surprising eyes and Dae Ju get embarrassed.

"Ah! I forget that I didn't eat anything since you left home." he was hesitating while saying this. He wanted to flee away from there so he turned back to escape from there out of embarrassment.

"What?" she nearly jumped and stood up.

"I will make something for you. Just wait for ten....no five minutes!" she was going to the kitchen.

"No! Forget it! You seem weak. You need to sleep." he said though he needs food. Just go and get fresh.

"I'll make some instant ramyeon." saying this she didn't let him talk anymore and left to the kitchen. She felt bad for him by thinking about how he spent the past two days by regretting his life. She knows how it feels. She also spent too much time by regretting her life decision. So she knows how it feels but she was also happy by knowing that he cares for her. She went to the kitchen and opened the desk where the packets of noodles were kept. She took one from there and cut the packet. She was thinking about today. What if Yeon Hoon's mother didn't tell him and she didn't hear her. She would have stayed in his home yet. And her husband would have stayed inside the jail.

"Everything happens for good!" she said in her mind while boiling the water in a pot. She reminds what Dae Ju said to her a while ago. She had been waiting to hear that from his mouth since she met him. But he didn't say those three words. It's the first time when he said her that he loves him. Maybe he changed and he has feelings for her. But her feelings for him changed and she doesn't love him anymore. It was all because of Rumi. He kept a long distance with her. Though he wanted to get close to her before his wish came true, he died. So, he could never confess his feelings to her. So, Lina thought he would never love her. That's why her feelings changed for him. Now, she thinks of him as a stranger. But nowadays, he started to win her heart once again. But this time, he has a different personality which is attracted her recently.

She cooked the noodles and served them in a bowl. She put it on the table and searched for Dae Ju. He went upstairs a while ago. She called him but he couldn't hear her as he was in the washroom. She went to upstairs while calling him. But he couldn't hear her for a single time. He was in the washroom and was digging into his thoughts. He planned something else some time ago but his life is going in a different direction. It was good to see her again. But was it okay? Should he stay with her? If he continued living like this he might end up by stuck in this body for his whole life. He never wanted that. He was also testing if he can go back to his real body by killing or damaging this body as he saw it in many dramas. But this doesn't work in his time. If he could go back, everything would be fine but now he is thinking it differently. He is caring for Lina. He saw how dangerous it could be if he left the body.

"I want to go back! I don't want to! Ah! This is really confusing! How can I make the decision now? My life was perfect! I didn't need anyone in my entire life. But I think I need someone even if I go back to my body! Will she come to me if I go back? Maybe not because she said earlier that she doesn't love me. Okay, I should try to change my feelings." though he knows that nobody can control his emotions he said to himself that he will try. He washed his face and pour some water on his head too. It was one of his habits. Whenever he washes his face, he put some water on his head.

When he came outside, he was shirtless. He was going to change that's why he took off his shirt. But that time Lina came inside and saw him like that.

"Ru..." She got blushed and turned back.

"Ah! What? You should have knocked first!" he shouted and cover himself with the shirt which he took for wear.

"But, the door was open so..." she was hesitating to say anything but she couldn't stand there anymore.

"I cooked some noodles and kept that on the table. Please eat them." saying this in a rush, she nearly ran away from there.
