140: A decision that isn't right

"You are so mean!" Lina was about to cry.

"Hey! I didn't mean it! You told me first!" Dae Ju tried to confess and stop her from cry. Then he remembered what the doctor said to him. Her emotions will change without taking time and for nothing. Maybe that's why she was doing this.

"You are a genius! I wanted to say that!" Dae Ju smiled.

"No! You are lying!" Dae Ju wanted to touch her but she pushed his hand so that he can't touch her.

"No, it's true. Maybe you are not that genius but, you are an angel. And angels don't need to be genius." Dae Ju said and sat down.

"Aish! There are no angels in the earth." Lina replied and pouted.

"There is!" Dae Ju wanted to argue with her.

"No there's not! Angels are in heaven! They come to the earth sometimes just for check oh human and if almighty gave them order." she was just saying the fact.

"Aish! You are not romantic at all! I was trying to impress you but you.....Ah!" Dae Ju became hopeless.

"I am sleepy. I can't argue with you anymore!" saying this she took a pillow and hold it tightly and closed her eyes. Dae Ju leaned his head in his hand putting it on the bed and looked at her. She was not less than any angel. For Dae Ju, she was the only angel. He doesn't know if she came from heaven or not but he doesn't care about it at all. Lina opened her eyes and found Dae Ju close to her.

"What?" she asked.

"Can I help you to go to sleep?" he asked. He forgot all his worries after spending some time with her though he couldn't find any solution.

"I am not a kid," she replied and closed her eyes again.

"Should I sing a song for you?" he asked.

"Okay, I can listen to you," she said by closing her eyes. Dae Ju starts singing. He made a song for her some days ago. And he was singing that without any music. The voice was not that sweet like him but it was okay.

"Are you asleep?" he asked gently.

"Hmm," she replied.

"Aish! How can you reply if you are asleep?" he laughed.

"Okay, I am not! If you kept staring at me like this, how am I supposed to sleep?" she opened her eyes and pout her lips again. Seeing her, he felt something strange inside. His mind wanted to tell him something but he wasn't listening to it.

"Can I kiss you?" he asked by looking at her.

"Suddenly?" she was surprised.

"Hmm. Just once. A goodbye kiss." he said.

"Goodbye?" she was surprised.

"I mean, goodnight!" he smiled weirdly.

"Okay," she agreed. By getting permission, he went close to her. She closed her eyes again and get ready. Dae Ju slowly holds her lips with his and bites it gently. He continued for a long time as if it was really a goodbye kiss.

After some time when Lina finally fall asleep, he stood up and left from there. He came to the rooftop again as he was feeling very exhausted and he needs something refreshing and some alone time as he has to take a huge decision. He remembered what the guy told to him.

After finished telling the story about the soul, he told something to Dae Ju and that's why he was so emotional, so tensed, so confused. He kept remembering,

"You didn't go back in these fifteen days That's why you will forget most of the thing you did here. You have seven days more. Within the time, you have to kill this body no matter how. As the soul has been taken, it won't count as murder or suicide. If you failed within these seven days, you can't remember anything about this life after going back to your original body. If you remember something of it, you will feel like you had a dream. You can go within fifteen days. But remember, you can't memorize anything if you go after the seventh day. All you will remember is about the dark night. If you can't kill this body within fifteen days or the full moon, you can never go back. Of course, you will get out from this body but your original body will die and you can't go back to any of them. You will become alone. Like the previous time, nobody could see you, listen to you or feel you. You will stay on the earth invisibly. No matter how you scream, how you cry, nobody can listen to you. And you will stay alone till the end of the earth."

"Why? Why you are doing this to me? WHY?" he screamed loudly. He was standing in the middle and looked at the sky.

"Did I ask you to send me here? Then, why you send me here?" He was talking with his god.

"Then, what should I do? Okay, I will go back. If I kill him now, I can remember everything! I will wake up and came to her. Yes, I will do it." saying this he took a sharp thing to cut himself. He holds it near his wrist and noticed the mark which he made some days ago while trying to kill himself, remains there. He went to cut the wrist once again but he failed. He threw the thing away and sat down on the ground.

"I can't! It's not possible for me! Though he has no soul, he is a human! I can't do it!" he cried out.

"Then, let's just jump from here." saying this he went to the corner to jump from there. But he couldn't make it too. And if he jumped from here, he will not die. His hand or leg would be a break and he has to experience a more critical situation. Then, he remembered Lina.

What if he can never come back to her? How can she manage everything together? She is sick and she needs someone who has to stay by her side. If he went back now, he will come to her but what will happen after that? How people would react? Will they accept her? She will be in more danger. He remains sitting by kneeling. He can't think anything else.

[The next morning]

Jheong Woo came to their home to meet Dae Ju. Dae Ju was using his phone sitting on their couch calmly. The tension from his face went down.

"Oh! You came! Come and sit! Do you want some tea or coffee? I can make coffee better." Dae Ju smiled.

"You will make coffee?" Jheong Woo was surprised by his sudden change.

"He can make food now! He made breakfast today. Do you want to taste some?" Lina came from somewhere and replied. Dae Ju smiled and kept using his phone.

"Hey! What's going on here! How can you this calm?" Jheong Woo was surprised and sat beside him after Lina's leaving.

"What? It's an ordinary holiday morning for a couple! But you came between us!" Dae Ju replied as if nothing happened.

"Are you okay?" Jheong Woo put his hand on Dae Ju's forehead to check if he was okay or not.

"You seem fine! Let's go somewhere else. I need to talk with you, ALONE!" Jheong Woo whispered.

"Okays, let's go to the rooftop." Dae Ju said as if he was totally fine and there was no problem with his life.

"Honey! We are going to the rooftop. Can you bring the tea there?" Dae Ju shouted.

"OKAY!" she replied loudly from the kitchen.

After they went upstairs, Jheong Woo looked at Dae Ju and keep staring at him.

"What happened? Why you are looking at me like this?" Dae Ju asked being awkward.

"What happened to you? Why you are acting normal?" Jheong Woo asked.

"Then what I am supposed to act? Crazy?" he replied and showed his friend some craziness.

"HEY! Are you crazy?" Jheong Woo stopped him by yelling.

"I thought you would be disappointed! That's why I came to console you! But, now I am seeing that you are totally fine and you are enjoying your life! How? Are you that happy?" Jheong Woo makes him sit and ask but it was more like shouting.

"Yes, I am happy. Cause I found a solution!" Dae Ju smiled.

"Solution? What solution?" Jheong Woo felt curious and asked. He sits beside him but he was facing Dae Ju.

"I am not gonna leave." Dae Ju said and smiled by looking at him.

"W-W-WHAT?" he shouted.

"I am gonna live this normal life." Dae Ju replied and looked at the sky.

"Hey! Are you crazy? Didn't you hear what he said? You can't stay here! Your soul will get out no matter what! You are becoming like the evil soul! Why?" Jheong Woo becomes disappointed.

"I don't know. What will I do by going back? My friend wants to kill me anyway. Huhh! It's funny if I go back and my friend kills me!" He started to laugh. Then we should solve the problem too! Just like you solved the mystery of the chairman!" Jheong Woo wanted to make his friend understand but he didn't want to understand anything.

"It's not that easy! You don't know how shocked I was! When I hear that he wants to kill me." Dae Ju sighed.

"Seems like you are having a good time!" Lina came with two cups of coffee and some cookies.

"Ah! Yes! Give them to me. I will take them." Dae Ju ran to her and took the trey from her hand.

"Aish! I can do it!" she smiled. Jheong Woo became surprised by their sudden chemistry. He could understand what was going on here but he can't support it as it wasn't right. After Lina went away, Jheong Woo looked at Dae Ju. He came back to his seat and took a cup of coffee.

"These are homemade cookies. You should try them. It's delicious!" he said and took a sip of coffee. Jheong Woo couldn't give him a reply suddenly. He took a piece of the cookies and put it in his mouth. It was really delicious, sweet but crunchy.

"See? I told you it's delicious!" Dae Ju said by seeing his expression.

"Hmm. But, I am confused so I can't taste it properly," he replied.

"I know you are confused. I was confused too. But now I know what should I do. So, I am not confused anymore." Dae Ju said and took a cookie.

"No, you don't know what you should do. Let me explain what you should do." he faced to Dae Ju again and forced him to listen to him.

"What? Do you think someone like me can kill anyone? I tried but I failed. I can't do it. Let's just live with the flow. We will see what happens next." Dae Ju was telling it too easily as if nothing was gonna happen.

"I know it's not that easy but do you want to stay alone till the end of the world! Becoming a ghost?" Jheong Woo asked with a serious voice.

"How funny it would be! I will come to you and scare you every night! Hahaha!" he laughed.

"You are really crazy! I am wasting my time here!" He got angry and stood up.

"Hey! Where are you going?" Dae Ju asked.

"To the hell where you can't go!" he replied angrily and walked to the gate.

"Hey! Jheong Woo-ah! Come here!" He called him again while eating the cookies.

"What? Do whatever you want!" he replied angrily but came to him.

"Take this. Don't check it now. Check it when I won't be here." saying this he gave a big envelope to Jheong Woo.

"What is this?" he asked curiously.

"Just something you deserve. Don't look at it now!" he said.
