Chapter nine

"Okay! It's enough. You've been explaining but I don't understand anything you say. There's a California branch? The government designed those doors? Why blame it on the California branch? You are leaving me with more questions than answers." 

He just laughed it away.

"Don't worry, just take it as your long-awaited trip to Paris. A dream come true." He winked at me and I chuckled. Why is he so attractive? "And I almost forgot to tell you, avoid thinking so your signal doesn't go further away from them." 

"You want me not to think, that's outrageous! I always think that will be a very difficult task." When was the last time I never used my head? Oh, wait, am thinking again. If this is a more dangerous life and death situation, we'll all be dead.

"But it will be a little easier if you try." 

I sighed. He's treating me like a sister! I don't know why it does, but it offends me. 

"So what will I do then, if I won't use my brains?"
