Chapter 13

Hakai and Makino continued their training after they had their fun in the bathroom.

Hakai did his daily quest which consequently was related to Haki.

[Daily Quest:] Train your haki

'With that I now have 275 Aether Coins.'

Surprisingly enough, Haki wasn't very hard to train, maybe because of its similarity to draconic energy, or the fact that he was a dragon.

Hakai hypothesized that one more day of training haki was all he needed to use basic Armament Haki, and Observation Haki.

He wasn't selfish of course. When Makino finished her physical training, Hakai taught her how to use haki which was quite easy because of his skill, [Skill Teaching].

Like him, she could only sense and feel haki, but a few more days of training and she'd be able to put it to real use and increase her power even more.

The trip to Syrup Village which was in the Gecko Islands would take around a week, so Hakai made sure to make good use of their free time.

The next day after leaving to go to the Gecko Islands, after doing his daily mission and workout, Hakai had a breakthrough with haki.

[Haki Manipulation has leveled up!]

'Hmm, my haki feels 'thicker' now if that makes sense.'

Manipulating his haki, Hakai tried coating his fist, trying to use armament haki.

Slowly, his fist turned black with a purple tinge as he coated it with haki.

[Quest:] Learn Armament Haki has been completed!

[Rewards:] 50 Aether Coins

'Hmm, that was surprisingly simple.'

"Is that the haki thing you were telling me about?" Makino asked him.

Hakai nodded as he closed his eyes. "That's not all that you can do with haki though. If you train hard enough, you can see into the future."

Taking a deep breath and opening his eyes, Hakai's eyes glowed a deep purple as he used observation haki.

[Quest:] Learn Observation Haki has been completed!

[Rewards:] 50 Aether Coins

Hakai could look around him without actually using his eyes. He could see the back of his head. Using observation haki, he could also sense the intent and emotion of Makino. Right now, it seemed that she wanted to keep getting stronger.

'Interesting. What happens if I combine it with draconic energy since they're so similar?.'

Closing his eyes again, Hakai attempted to combine the two energies inside himself, but for some reason, the energies didn't want to combine.

No, it was more like the draconic energy didn't want to combine with his haki... It wanted to eat it and assimilate it, it wanted to be in control, so Hakai let it be in control.

The draconic energy that was raging inside his body ate up his haki, absorbing and assimilating it as it spat it back out, new, and better than it was before.

This new haki was different and looking at his skill list, it seemed to have fully replaced his normal haki.

When he used armament haki, instead of looking like the usual hard, and black coating that armament haki usually looked like. It looked like the scales of a dragon. The armament haki was still black with a purple tint, but instead of being smooth, it was scaly and seemed to have grown stronger.

His observation haki also changed whereas before his eyes only glowed purple, it now changed his eyes into the eyes of a dragon's.

Experimenting some more with his new haki, Hakai found that he could coat his armament haki with draconic darkness, but trying to coat it with draconic energy didn't seem to work. Hakai could still enhance his body with draconic energy though, just not coat his body with it.

Immediately after he was finished testing out his new skills, Hakai helped Makino with her own haki, greatly increasing her progress as her haki slowly grew and grew. Just a few more days and she would most likely be able to use armament haki and observation haki.

Out on the sea, about 5 days had passed now and Hakai and Makino were nearing their destination.

During the last five days, a lot of things happened.

First off, Hakai and Makino got stronger. Hakai improved his body and haki, while Makino improved her body, and learned haki.

That's right, Makino could now use haki, both types actually. She could use armament haki, and observation haki and in the East Blue, if one had haki then they were basically invincible.

The last five days weren't just all peaceful training. The duo were actually came across many pirate ships and marine ships out on the sea.

Hakai didn't know any of the pirate crews that he saw, so he just simply annihilated them all, the destruction of each pirate crew increasing his fame and gaining a nickname in the East Blue as the, 'Dragon King of the Seas.'

While he annihilated any pirate crews he saw on the sea, whenever Hakai met a marine ship, he would kill everyone, but leave an ordinary soldiers alive to report back to marine HQ.

Doing this, their crew rose in fame and there wasn't anyone in the East Blue that didn't know of the crew, 'The Dragon Pirates'.

Their crew even had a rumor that started going around. The rumor was that the name, the Dragon Pirates weren't just for show. They actually had a dragon, and while many consider this a rumor, the people that say this rumor is real swear on their lives that they saw a humongous dragon flying above the pirate crew's ship.
