Welcome Back Goku

The day of the tournament Krillin, Roshi, Yamcha, Puar, Oolong, Chichi, Lazuli, Marron, Vidal, Bulma, Bulla, Vegeta, and Trunks wait for not only Goku's long-awaited return to the world of the living but also Goten, Piccolo, and Gohan to appear.

"Oh, I don't see Goku, Gohan, or my Goten. What is taking them so long?" Chichi asks.

"Gohan did say he and Piccolo were taking Goten to do some extra training." Vidal replies.

Trunks then chuckles confidently.

"He's gonna need it if he wants to compete with me." Trunks says.

Bulma sighs, seeing Vegeta in him, while Vegeta smirks with pride in his son. Bulla punches Trunks in the head.

"Why can't you ever be humble?" Bulla asks.

Trunks angerly turns to his sister.

"Geez, Bulla! I know he's your boyfriend, but you didn't have to hit me that hard."

Bulla's face turns red out of anger and embarrassment, while Vegeta's eyes widen when he starts to think about his daughter and Kakarot's son being together.

"He's not my- Shut up!"

Bulma, Chichi, Vidal, Krillin, and Yamcha chuckle at the two siblings. At that moment, Goten appears,wearing his gi, along with Gohan and Piccolo.

"Hey everyone." Goten says with a smile.

Bulla grins at him and walks over to him, but gets knocked over by Chichi who runs over to her sons, hugging them both.

"Oh, there my boys are. Our family is almost reunited." She says.

Both Goten and Gohan sigh but smile.

"So dad hasn't made it yet?" Gohan asks.

"No, we haven't seen or sensed him yet." Krillin says.

"Oh where could he be? Maybe they weren't able to bring him back." Chichi worries.

At that moment, everyone (who can sense energy) feels something. They all look over sees Goku appearing across from them with fortune teller Baba. Soon Chichi and Bulma look over at Goku.

"Hey guys! I'm back!" Goku says with a smile.

Everyone is happy to see Goku, even Vegeta, but doesn't show it. Goten is stunned, unable to really believe that he's seeing his father, the legendary fighter that he has heard so many stories about.

"Dad! You made it!" Gohan says with a big smile.

Piccolo smirks at his longtime friend.

"Goku." He says.

Krillin smiles at his bestfriend with tears in his eyes.

"It's- really you." He says.

"Wow, you guys have changed a lot after all these years." Goku says.

Chichi is amazed by the sight of her husband, unable to stop smiling.

"Oh, my Goku." She says.

Roshi smiles, grateful to see one of his best students again.

"Welcome back to earth, my boy." Roshi says.

Bulma smiles with tears in her eyes.

"Look at you." She says.

Goku rubs the back of his head, the same way Goten does.

"So, guys are you just gonna stand there and stare at me all day?" Goku asks.

At that moment everyone rushes towards Goku, giving him a hug, especially Chichi.

"Oh sweetheart, I've missed you."

Goku smiles at his wife, giving her a kiss and causing her face to turn red.

"I've missed you, Chichi." He says.

As Bulla smiles, she notices Goten keeping his distance from his long lost father.

"Hey, this is your first time seeing your dad right? Why don't you say something to him?" Bulla asks.

Goten rubs the back of his head, looking down with a nervous look on his face.

"Well, I-"

At that moment Goku notices Goten standing far from him and smiles at his youngest son. When Goten sees Goku smiling at him, he doesn't know what to do, he just stands there awkwardly. Goku then walks over to his son, putting his hands on his shoulders.

"Hi. I've been wanting to meet you for a long time, Goten." Goku says.

Goten looks up at his dad, being fully taken in by his kind and gentle nature. The two stare at each other for a moment, then Goten gets a big smile on his face.

"Dad!" He yells, tackling Goku through a wall and hugging him.

Goku laughs, hugging his son back.

"Woah, you're a strong one, aren't ya? Yep, you're definitely my boy alright." Goku says.

As the two laugh with each other, everyone looks on with smiles on their faces. Fortune teller Baba then flies over to Goku.

"Now remember Goku you only have twenty four hours, that's all I can do." Baba says.

Goku nods.

"Yeah, I know. Thank you, Baba."

Baba nods and starts to fly away but Roshi stops her.

"Hey, hold on a second, you're really not going to say anything to your little brother?" Roshi asks.

Baba scoffs.

"Please, you forgot my birthday again so I don't want to hear it." Baba says.

"Oh come on, you're so old how am I supposed to remember every single one?" Roshi replies.

Baba gets angry at her brother but ignores him.

"Goku, I'll see you later." She says as she flies away.

"We should probably head to the registration desk, before it closes." Krillin suggests.

Everyone agrees and start to walk towards the registration desk. Later, everyone gives their names to the person on at the desk.

"You sure you don't want to enter, Gohan?" Goten asks.

"Yeah, I'm just gonna watch the tournament with Piccolo and Vidal."

Vegeta scoffs.

"Unbelievable. You're wasting all that power you have." Vegeta says.

"Come on Vegeta, that's not true. I just only fight when I have to these days." Gohan says.

Goku smiles, putting his arm around Gohan.

"Yeah Vegeta, there's nothing wrong with that." Goku says.

Vegeta folds his arms at the comment.

"Whatever. As long as I get to beat Kakarot and win this whole thing, I don't care."

Both Goku and Vegeta stare each other down with mutual smirks on their faces, when Goten steps up, surprising them both.

"Actually, I was thinking I'd win the tournament." Goten says, chuckling.

Goku smiles at his son, excited by his confidence. Trunks then steps up as well, not wanting to get out shined by Goten.

"Hate to burst your bubble, Goten. But you haven't been able to beat me in sparing once, and I don't think today is going to be any different." Trunks says with a smirk.

Vegeta grins with pride in his son. Meanwhile, Krillin nervously watches this conversation from the background. Yamcha leans over to his friend, putting his hand on his shoulder.

"Goodluck buddy. With four Saiyan's in this tournament, you'll need it." Yamcha says.

Krillin glares at Yamcha. At that moment, a giant limo appears in the front and everyone crowds around it. The world Champion, Hercule steps out of the limo to a standing ovation.

"YEAH!!!" Hercule screams, causing Vidal to hide her face in embarrassment.

Krillin scoffs at the sight of him.

"Well look who it is, our brave hero who defeated Cell all by himself." Krillin says.

"No offense, Vidal, but I have no idea why people go nuts for him." Bulma says.

"Well remember, none of them really know what happened." Yamcha adds.

Vidal is confused.

"Huh? What do you mean, Yamcha?" Vidal asks.

Gohan quickly grabs Yamcha before he can say anything.

"Oh you know Yamcha, always the kidder." Gohan says.

He then whispers to Yamcha.

"Vidal doesn't know that I'm the one who defeated Cell. I didn't want her to be disappointed in her dad, so I never told her. Please keep it a secret." Gohan whispers.

Yamcha nods, understanding while Goten is confused.

"Wait, Vidal's dad beat Cell? But I thought that Go-"

Before he can finish his sentence, both Gohan and Yamcha cover his mouth.

"To all my fans who waited! Give yourselves a big pat on the back!" Hercule yells.

An announcement then comes on the loud speakers.

"All participants come to the waiting area!"

"I guess that's us." Goten says.

At that moment Chichi hugs her youngest son

"Please becareful, Goten. And don't get hurt." Chichi says.

Goten smiles.

"I will mom, thanks." He says.

Chichi then kiss Goku on the cheek.

"And goodluck to you too, Goku."

Goku chuckles.

"Thanks honey." Goku says.

Bulma hugs both Vegeta and Trunks.

"Goodluck you two." She says.

Trunks face turns red.

"Come on mom, cut it out. You're embarrassing me." He says.

Krillin rubs Marron's head as Lazuli smiles.

"Don't forget to cheer for your daddy, ok?" Krillin says.

Marron smiles.

"Ok!" She says excitedly.

Bulla kisses her father on the cheek.

"Goodluck, daddy." Bulla says.

Vegeta makes sure no one is listening or watching, then smiles at his daughter.

"Thanks Princess." Vegeta says.

At that moment, he looks over and sees Goku and Piccolo smiling at him, causing his face to turn red.

"What are you two looking at?" He asks.

Bulla giggles, then walks over, pushing Trunks to the ground.

"Goodluck to you too, idiot." Bulla says with a grin.

Trunks slowly sits up, clutching his lower back.

"Gee, thanks." Trunks sarcastically says.

She then walks over to Goten with a smile, causing his face to turn bright red.

"Goodluck to you too, Goten."

Goten sees her beautiful eyes and pretty smile, rubbing the back of his head with a grin.

"Thanks, Bulla." Goten says nervously.

The group that are watching then head to the stands while the others head into the waiting area, ready to start the action.
