Ch. 624 Like the winds

Emotions were high and mixed upon hearing about the series of changes that would be implemented within the hour that were announced by The Emperor of Kerseye and Guild Master Magell Dar Warborn jointly shortly after dawn.

Not only was the scope of the expedition being refocus, but the makeup of the expeditionary forces and its leadership were being changed as well. While most of the human participants did not care much about those charges and could entirely focus on the reasoning given, the dwarven members had very strong feeling about being called to join the guild master for a return trip to the lands of their forefathers.

But such things were like the winds and waves that carried one where they may in an unavailable way. One can only choose to go with the flow while trying to chart their own course, or fight against them, bracing themselves like stalwart walls, unmoving and unwilling to change.
