It took Elric a moment to catch up to the drop of truth his grandfather just passed on to him. He know knew that the so called cause of the Great Disaster was his grandfather, and whoever built those grand cities of metal, and glass towers that reached the sky. He did not know what they were called beyond children of the fallen, but that was enough, and more than he thought that his grandfather Ker would tell him.
"Grandfather, I know that you do not like to remember such things, or talk about them, but what was the Great Disaster, and how could you be part of the case of it?"
