Chapter 7: The Corrupt Hero Octavian

I turned around. There she stood in all her unholy glory, Vanriy... My sister. "What do you want V? I'm not in the mood for your games." She smiles at me, a malicious and twisted smile.

"Daddy wants you to come home brother!" She said excitedly. I can't believe she still calls him that, it's weird to me.

"'Daddy' Killed our brother, or have you forgotten V." She rolls her eyes and pulls out her knife.

"He deserved it, he betrayed father... He became a Dragon Rider." I go pale and try to keep my cool. I walked passed her and pushed her into the burnt logs. "He was still our brother." I walk off with the wyvern when she grabs my shoulder. "You forget baby bro, I'm stronger than you." A simple magnetism trick, Magnetise the cage to us. I tapped her shoulder and saw the cage flying towards us. "Why are u smiling?" She asked.

"Hey, How much do you like Bar fights?"

"What?" She turned around and the cage knocked her face in. I dust myself off and start walking back to Xenock. "YOU WILL PAY FOR THIS OCTAVIAN!" She yells at me from underneath the cage. I roll my eyes and fly off with the wyvern.

Arcave's POV:

Arec isn't as bad as everyone makes him out to be, he's pretty chill. I mean I understand he's a bit rude but it was understandable. From what he's told me, the people who know of Dracasnia want to destroy it. I don't understand it, Dracasnia I beautiful and full of life, why would anyone want to destroy it?

I lay in my bed and look at the glass roof, even tho Dracasnia doesn't get sunlight it was bright and very warm. I watched the sky for an hour when a black and green beast lands on it and looks at me. It was Dilitiri. I smiled up at him and he flapped his wings excitedly. How his weight didn't break the glass I will never know, but I was happy to see him.

I heard the door open and I looked towards it, Octavian was stood there holding a baby dragon. "Hey how are u feeling Arc?" He asked me, I looked at him and smiled. "I'm doing much better, Arec has been keeping me company." He shrugged and smiled.

"I guess he ain't that bad then, still don't forgive him." Octavian said plainly. I looked at the baby dragon that was asleep, tail wrapped around his hand. It was rocky in appearance and was rather a wyvern than a dragon. "I see you noticed the wyvern," Octavian said. "He's a rock dragon i saved from the guards." He stroked the baby dragon. And walked up to me. The Dragon wrapped its tail around my arm and wrapped its wings around me. "Aw, it's gonna kill me with its cuteness." I said softly. Octavian was shaking his head and smiling.

"You can leave the hospital in the morning Arc." Octavian said. Finally I was allowed to leave, couldn't wait. I still can't help worrying about Alice though, When I'm out ill go searching for her. I won't rest til I find her.

Kayla's POV:

I looked at the person who shot at me. A girl with beautiful silver hair flowing down her back, and the clothes of a huntress. The symbol of the Greek Goddess Artemis tattooed on her cheek. A purplish creature landed on her shoulder, a Phoenix. "Woah there lady, you almost took my head off there." I said calmly and poured her a shot. I didn't think that would actually work but you know. She walked up to the bar and drank the shot. "Thanks, needed that." She said and smiles. The Phoenix lands on the sink.

"What's her name?" I asked the huntress. She looked at the Phoenix and then at me.

"Susanoo." I find it weird, she's a huntress of Artemis, worships the Gods of Daracnia and has a Phoenix named after a Japanese god, like pick a mythology woman! "Oh, that's a great name! I don't have a Phoenix unfortunately. But I do have a dragon!" I said Proudly and she looks at me.

"Show. Me. The. Dragon!" She demanded, So I guided her to the stables.

Alice's POV:

As Ace ate the pizza he was given for his last meal an alarm started blaring, I turned to Karso. He looked around. "Ok, nows your chance to escape." He nodded to the window behind us. I looked at the window then nodded to Ace. Ace climbed out the window with his Phoenix waiting outside. "What about you?" I asked him, I mean there's no way he'd want to stay here is there? He just smiled softly. "It was nice meeting you Alice, but Fate didn't bring me here so I could leave this easily. We will see eachother again, I promise." My heart sank, I don't know why. But Karso has been so nice to me whilst I've been locked up here and now I'm just leaving him behind? It doesn't feel right. We heard loud banging on the door and he looked at the window. I climbed out and when I reached the floor I looked up, Karso was being escorted away by some other guards...

Arcave's POV:

I'M FREE! Don't get me wrong everyone at the hospital was nice, but the bed was a pain in the back. As I go outside I see Octavian and Dilitiri waiting for me. I rest my hand on Dilitiri's snout and smile at Octavian. "You're looking fitter now- well not fitter I meant healthier- but you do look good- I mean you look healthy. Ah- I'm gonna shut up now." Octavian stuttered out. I felt my face heat up and I give out a soft laugh. "You're looking well." He said. He stood up and moved the hair out of my eyes and smiled, making my heart skip a beat. It was quiet for a good few minutes before he spoke again. "Oh right, a pink dragon has been spotted in southern Daracnia alongside a Black and Purple Phoenix. I think it might be Alice." My face lit up, if there was any chance this was Alice I will do everything in my power to find her! "Well, its my mission," Octavian said, rubbing the back of his neck. "If you don't hate me for almost getting you killed on our last trip together, maybe you'd like to help?" He had a very cute, awkward smile on his face whilst saying that. I could see he felt guilty about that injury, but I never blamed him. "Yeah! I'd love to go out with you-" I started, then the words clicked and my face went bright red. "On the mission, I mean..." I cover my face with my hood. He laughs.

"You're a dork, I think it's cute." He hops onto Xenock. "Race you there." I hear him take off. I look at Dilitiri and he was just looking at me confused. "Oh don't look at me like that." I hopped on his back and raced after Octavian.
