With his head raised, he fixed her with his gaze. "You made no mention of the purchaser of this necklace. Why is that so?"
"Because he is one of our important customers. Officer, we have rules here. He has made purchases from us countless times." Her gaze landed on the necklace lying on the table. "Why do you need to find the purchaser of it so quickly? Has the person committed a crime?"
As she questioned him, James folded his clutch firmly. How could she think she was beating him in his own game? Step by step, James approached Kim after loudly setting the book down on the table.
