Chapter 39: The Green Tea Rabbit

"Shrek Seven Devils!"

"Shrek Seven Devils!"

"Shrek Seven Devils!"

After a series of victories, the Shrek Seven Devils had garnered significant popularity. Their recent triumph over the formidable Fury Battle Team had propelled their reputation to new heights.

Seated near the front, Ye Hao wore a mask as he carefully observed the contestants.

As the announcer stepped onto the stage, the crowd erupted in excitement, creating an electrifying atmosphere even before the match began.

"Let's welcome both teams to the arena!"

At the announcer's cue, seven fighters from each team entered the stage. The Shrek Seven Devils' opponents were an ordinary-looking team of six men and one woman.

On the other side, the seven members of Shrek Academy, all masked and clad in varying attire, stepped onto the platform—four men and three women.

Even with their faces covered, Ye Hao immediately identified Tang San and Xiao Wu. Tang San's Twenty-Four Moonlit Bridges strapped to his waist and Xiao Wu's iconic scorpion braid were unmistakable.

Ye Hao scrutinized the group. The tall, golden-haired figure at the front had to be their leader, Dai Mubai. Despite wearing a mask, his commanding aura was evident. Beside him was likely Oscar, while the rotund figure was undoubtedly Ma Hongjun. Among the three women, the curvaceous one had to be Zhu Zhuqing—her mature figure defied her supposed age of twelve. The last girl, lively and petite, was unmistakably Ning Rongrong, the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Clan's little troublemaker.

After confirming their identities, Ye Hao shifted his attention to the unfolding match.

The Fight Begins

The crowd's incessant noise made Ye Hao frown. On the stage, the two teams exchanged trash talk. One of the opposing soul masters raised a middle finger at Xiao Wu, causing her hand to clench slightly. Tang San's eyes also narrowed in response.

Seeing this, Ye Hao inwardly sighed for the poor soul. Brother, why provoke them for no reason?

Sure enough, the moment the battle began, Tang San deployed his Blue Silver Grass, seizing the initiative with a swift control tactic.

Xiao Wu followed up immediately. Her third soul ring lit up, and she activated her skill: teleportation.

Her target was clear—the man who had insulted her earlier. Under the enhancement of Ning Rongrong's Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Pagoda, Xiao Wu's speed became nearly imperceptible to the naked eye.

In the blink of an eye, she appeared behind her target. Under the stunned gaze of tens of thousands of spectators, Xiao Wu bent her waist, grabbed him with her scorpion braid, and hurled him into the air. What followed was her devastating eight-stage throw.

The sound of bones cracking echoed faintly as Xiao Wu delivered her attack with ruthless precision. Ye Hao wasn't surprised—he had witnessed her ferocity back at Nuoding Primary Academy.

At the last moment, Tang San used his blue silver grass to suspend the victim in mid-air before hurling him off the stage.

The elevated battle platform was at least five meters above the ground. Being thrown directly down was no small injury.

Watching this, Ye Hao's expression darkened. Is this a soul battle or attempted murder?

Tang San's and Xiao Wu's actions stemmed from their childhood vow: "You are my sister. No one can hurt you." This naïve belief made them disregard others' feelings, convinced that their actions were justified as long as they protected each other.

Those who dared harm or insult them—like the man in this battle or the one who died in Nuoding City—became victims of their blind devotion.

Ye Hao's face remained calm as he watched the injured soul master being dragged off the stage. The soul battle's rules were clear—strength determined everything. If you couldn't win, you had to endure defeat. That was the unchanging law of the arena.

The fight ended quickly. The Shrek Seven Devils stood tall, while their six opponents lay bloodied on the ground. One had already been carried off, likely facing a lifetime of disability.

The announcer declared the Shrek Seven Devils victorious.

Before leaving, Xiao Wu stuck out her tongue and made a face at the fallen opponents. "That'll teach you to mess with Sister Xiao Wu! Consider this a small lesson," she said playfully, clinging to Tang San's arm as they left the stage.

Ye Hao felt a wave of disgust. A 100,000-year-old rabbit acting like an innocent, inexperienced girl—how revolting.

He resolved to order extra servings of spicy rabbit heads tonight to vent his frustration.

As the Shrek Seven Devils exited, Ye Hao decided to follow them. He wanted to see what kind of operation this so-called "Shrek Academy" truly was.

Masking his aura and with his face concealed by black armor, Ye Hao trailed them silently. Using his six-winged purple light wings, he hovered above the ground to avoid making noise. After ensuring no one was watching, he positioned himself near a ventilation duct to observe their resting area.

Inside, Ma Hongjun removed his mask, revealing his chubby face and sesame-like eyes. He plopped onto a sofa, his gaze shamelessly fixed on Zhu Zhuqing's alluring figure. Under Dai Mubai's menacing glare, Ma Hongjun reluctantly looked away.

"You filthy fatso, watch your eyes! Next time, I'll gouge them out," Dai Mubai scolded jokingly.

Ma Hongjun chuckled sheepishly, shifting his attention elsewhere.

Zhu Zhuqing remained indifferent, her icy demeanor similar to Ye Lingling's. Preferring solitude over interaction, she glared coldly at Ma Hongjun before leaving the room in annoyance.

Watching her go, Ning Rongrong glared at Ma Hongjun. Some things never change. A rotten orange is still a rotten orange.

Outside, Ye Hao noticed Zhu Zhuqing's departure and moved to a corner to avoid being seen. After ensuring she was far away, he returned to eavesdropping.

Inside, Dai Mubai sighed. "Xiao Wu, you should go easier next time. What if they file a complaint against us?"

Xiao Wu rested her head on Tang San's shoulder, giggling. "What's there to worry about, boss Dai? You saw it yourself—he provoked me first. The fact that I didn't kill him is already merciful."

She smirked and added, "Besides, if I can't win, isn't my brother here to back me up?"

Outside, Ye Hao suppressed the urge to vomit. What a green tea act!

This rabbit… I can't watch this anymore. Tonight, I need not just spicy rabbit heads but braised soft-bone rabbit too!
