Douluo: Crow's Guiding Light

In a world where martial arts reign supreme and the divide between the privileged and the commoners is stark, Sheng Jun, an orphan born into a humble background, grows up ignorant of the ways of combat. Despite his lack of training, he possesses a latent talent that goes unnoticed until fate intervenes in the form of a dying martial master, himself a product of commoner origins. Recognizing Sheng Jun's untapped potential, the master takes him under his wing as his final disciple, passing on his knowledge and skills before drawing his last breath. With the weight of his master's teachings on his shoulders, Sheng Jun vows to use his newfound abilities to challenge the injustices plaguing society, where the powerful oppress the weak. Facing formidable adversaries and daunting obstacles, Sheng Jun's resolve is tested time and again. But with each challenge he overcomes, his determination only grows stronger. Along the way, he gathers allies from all walks of life, united by a shared desire for justice and equality. As Sheng Jun's reputation as a champion of the oppressed and a teacher for all spreads, he draws the attention of those who see him as a threat to their positions. In the end, Sheng Jun's journey culminates in a final showdown with the forces of tyranny that lasts for 30 days, where he is slain due to his only weakness being exposed. He closed his eyes in both regret and satisfaction; regret because he never really had time to enjoy his life, but if given another chance, he would still make the same choices. Still, his last thought was that of satisfaction, knowing that his goals had been accomplished. Little did he know that this was not the end for him, as he opened his eyes in the world of Douluo Dalu. ... I'm writing this fanfic primarily for myself and for those who are interested. The MC will primarily interact with the original main characters of the show, but he will not harbour prejudice against Spirit Hall or hate them in any way without a good reason (obviously since they help common people awaken their martial soul). This is not a harem fanfic, and the MC will not pursue romantic relationships with the original characters. Instead, he will focus on helping them improve in strength and character, particularly Ma Hongjun and Dai Mubai. English is not my first language, so there may be many typos and mistakes. This is also my first book, as I didn't find any Douluo fanfic that suited me, so I decided to write one myself. You can't imagine how unbearable my sister and I feel when reading some fanfics. Of course, some might feel the same about my fanfic, and you're free to have your own opinion, so ignore it if you don't like it. By the way, I have no idea how Chinese names work so if you see a mistake please feel free to comment.

New Prophecy

The trio gazed upon the shabby village sprawled before them, their reactions varied. The golden-haired youth stood frozen in astonishment, his eyes wide with disbelief as he took in the sight before him. Doubt crept into his mind, wondering if they had somehow stumbled upon the wrong destination.

Meanwhile, the half-black, half-red-haired boy scratched his head in amusement, a smile playing on his lips as he observed the scene before him. He seemed unfazed by the village's condition.

On the other hand, the white-haired young man nodded in contentment, his expression serene as he surveyed the village with a sense of familiarity. It was as if he had expected nothing less, finding comfort in the simplicity of the place.

As they ventured deeper into the village, Sheng Jun marveled at how well the outer aesthetics of the old academy had been preserved, just as he had ordered. The nostalgic charm of the surroundings resonated with both him and Ma Hongjun.

Hidden behind the quaint facade lay a world of luxury, for example, the massive dome looming behind the village, stretching the size of a large city. This was the top-tier mimicry training ground, meticulously constructed according to Sheng Jun's specifications. As of now, only the fire, plant, and water-based mimicry training grounds have been completed, while the development of the other mimicry training grounds is still underway.

Each mimicry training ground was designed to simulate extreme environments, allowing practitioners to cultivate and refine their abilities faster.

"Don't be deceived by the outer appearance. Come with me, let's go meet the Dean" Sheng Jun told Dai Mubai, who agreed without hesitation.

As they approached the door, Sheng Jun knocked firmly, the sound echoing through the corridor. A voice from inside beckoned them in, and they entered a lavish room that contrasted sharply with the modest facade of the structure.

"Xiao Jun, you finally have time to grace us with your presence, eh?" The man seated on the chair greeted them with a playful tone, earning a chuckle from a burly man beside him. Sheng Jun nodded awkwardly in response.

"Greetings, Teacher and Vice Dean," Sheng Jun greeted them formally. "It's been a while"

"Stop with the formalities," Flender warmly chuckled, motioning for them to take a seat. "Come, sit down, we have so much to catch up"

As Sheng Jun, Dai Mubai, and Ma Hongjun settled into their seats, Flender's interest was piqued, and he cast a curious glance at Dai Mubai, prompting Sheng Jun to introduce him formally.

"Reporting to the teacher" Sheng Jun began, "This is Dai Mubai, a little monster we encountered during our journey back here. He's 12 years old, Level 27, a 2nd ring Attack Power System Spirit Grandmaster with a top-tier Beast-type Martial Soul; Evil-Eyed White Tiger"

Flender's laughter resonated through the room as he absorbed the information. "Excellent, excellent" he exclaimed, his eyes gleaming with enthusiasm. "Welcome to the academy, Dai Mubai," he said warmly, as Dai Mubai bowed deeply in acknowledgement.

"Furthermore, I'd like to request that you grant Ma Hongjun the authority to expel Dai Mubai if he fools around. Can you do that?" Sheng Jun asked Flender earnestly. After a moment of consideration, Flender, though initially puzzled, accepted Sheng Jun's request without hesitation. Sheng Jun had contributed significantly to the academy, so such a simple request was naturally not a problem.

With the academy no longer facing dire circumstances and having ample resources at its disposal, attracting geniuses wouldn't pose a significant challenge once the academy's fame spreads, coupled with its top-tier facilities and staff consisting of spirit emperors and saints, they would naturally draw in talented individuals.

After chatting for a while, they walked out of the office. Sheng Jun intended to introduce Dai Mubai to someone as he started to walk towards the training facility, a huge building ahead of them, standing out of the humble buildings around it.

As they entered, a loud shout filled the room. "First Brother, take my sword!" A figure rushed towards Sheng Jun with lightning speed, thrusting his sword forward. "Vajra Sword Technique: First Form, Vajra Thrust!" he exclaimed, his soul power materializing at the tip of the blade akin to a bear's nail.

Seeing the oncoming sword thrusting toward his face Sheng Jun reacted swiftly, he used Mysterious Jade Hand to deflect the sword with precision, then employed Owl's Way to rush towards the figure, intending to counterattack. However, anticipating the failed thrust, the figure muttered "Movement Technique: Illusion Steps!" As his voice echoed, three afterimages appeared, rushing in different directions.

For others, chasing after the illusions might have been the instinctive response, but Sheng Jun's perception was sharp. With a sudden punch, he struck beside him, seemingly connecting with the air. Moments later, a figure crashed onto the ground. "Ouch, First Brother, how did you know those images weren't real?" the figure asked, sounding dejected.

"You've made remarkable progress, Oscar," Sheng Jun said, extending a hand to help him up. "So these are the techniques you talked about, these techniques of yours are quite impressive"

"Hehe, I had to somehow compensate for my lack of strength and speed compared to Attack or Agility System Spirit Masters" Oscar explained with a grin, basking in Sheng Jun's praise.

Turning his attention to Dai Mubai, he asked, "Brother Jun, who is this?"

"This guy here is the fourth student of the Academy, Dai Mubai. He's 12 years old, Level 27, a 2nd ring Attack Power System Spirit Grandmaster, and possibly our future Sixth Brother" Sheng Jun introduced Dai Mubai to Oscar.

Hearing Sheng Jun's words, Ma Hongjun tried to protest, but with a sharp look from Sheng Jun, he kept his mouth shut. "Oh, fourth student and Sixth Brother! Welcome, welcome!" Oscar excitedly welcomed Dai Mubai while shaking his hands.

"Dai Mubai, this is Oscar, in the future you can call him the Third Brother or Oscar. He's the first monster of our academy. The only Auxiliary Food type Spirit Master in history to be born with Innate Full Soul Power. He's also 11 years old, Level 23, a 2nd ring Auxiliary System Spirit Grandmaster" Sheng Jun explained.

Hearing Sheng Jun's words, Dai Mubai was stunned. "Food type, Innate Full Soul Power, Level 23?" He muttered in astonishment, and then he came to a realization. "Wait, how can he be an Auxiliary type? Didn't he use an attack-type spirit skill just now?"

Looking at the shocked Dai Mubai, Oscar couldn't help but smile as he pumped up his chest proudly. "Oscar is also training to be an Attack-type spirit master due to his special ability, which allows him to create almost any phenomenon he sees into his technique, or in simple terms, self-created soul skill" Sheng Jun explained.

"Special ability?" Dai Mubai asked doubtfully, as he had never heard of these kinds of special abilities before.

Seeing his doubt, Sheng Jun just smiled as he tapped Dai Mubai's head and said "Let down your mental defence" he commanded, his voice carrying undeniable authority.

Dai Mubai instinctively complied, allowing a rush of information to flood his mind. Feeling the rush of information flood his mind, Dai Mubai's eyes widened in astonishment. The words 'War God's Will' appeared in his consciousness.

That was the manifestation of his special ability, as long as he kept fighting during combat without losing his will to fight, he would grow stronger over time until the end of the fight. Though the boost over time was small for now, he sensed the potential for improvement as he cultivated the Heavenly Dao Sutra to higher levels.

Dai Mubai felt a surge of gratitude towards Sheng Jun as he knelt, expressing his heartfelt thanks. His determination burned brighter than ever as he vowed not to let him down.

"Hmph, you better keep those words" Ma Hongjun interjected, but his comment earned him a swift slap at the back of his head. "Didn't you agree to give him a chance? What's the use of these useless comments?" Sheng Jun scolded him gently, turning towards Dai Mubai as he helped him up.

"Don't think too much about it. Consider it a welcoming gift from me. I hope you'll prove your worth to Ma Hongjun in the future. I'll be waiting for the day we officially become brothers" he said, patting Dai Mubai on the shoulders.

"Then I'll be off, you don't have to see me off. My subordinates have already prepared a carriage for me. Just focus on your cultivation" Sheng Jun said, waving to them as he walked away.

"First Brother, you're leaving already?" Oscar asked reluctantly. Sheng Jun just smiled as he responded, "I've already done everything I need to do here. Don't worry, I have a feeling that it won't be long before I'll be able to stay here and train together" he said, walking away with confidence in his stride.

...

Inside the carriage, Sheng Jun suddenly felt an intense reaction from his 'Prophecy' ability, far surpassing anything he had experienced before, even more intense than Bernard's. After a moment, he couldn't help but exclaim "Interesting, a Spirit Ancestor giving a more intense reaction than a Spirit Emperor..."

With a smile on his face, Sheng Jun reached for his Dalu Link and called Bernard. "Listen to my command" he said firmly, his tone carrying a sense of urgency.

Another time skip coming up and another one after that. Sorry about that haha.
