NO MORE HOLDING IT IN

He closed his eyes and replayed what just happened. He grabbed the resignation letter breathed in deeply and calmed himself down before heading out of the room. An Cheng followed him behind closing the door.

His steps were a bit hurried. He went straight into the designing department and pushed open her cabin door.

She had left the room with an airy feeling. It was a sudden and immediate decision. As she came in the cabin she halted and looked around. She learned how to conceal and cover. It was over an year since she had smiled freely. There was a time when this cabin was everything. It held her happiness and beautiful memories.

Now it is over. No more of holding it in. Nothing lasts after all. She went ahead and started collecting empty boxes to pack up her belongings. Sensing the door being pushed open she turned around to see Su Lin.

He glanced at Ai Chyou who was standing beside Meilin. Ai Chyou hurried out of the cabin followed by An Cheng. Meilin didn't bother what was happening. She was already expecting him. She continued to pack her belongings.

He held back everything as he started to speak, "As per the contract terms you will have to compensate if you are resigning on your own will. The terms mention you still have an year left to complete. I recommend you strongly-"

"Mr. Su, you haven't had enough? What more do you want? " Her eyes held a feeling of disgust and hate.

"Meilin.....it....it is not... like that."

"Mr. Su give me one reason to stay back."

"....."

"It was after all the contract that held everything. Lets us leave it here. I don't want this to keep going."

"Meilin...-"

"Mr. Su I have already mentioned that we are not close enough for you to keep calling me Meilin. I will transfer the compensation, send me all the information related to it. I hope we don't cross paths often." She gathered all her stuff and packed it up before heading out of the cabin.

She left with a few words to her colleagues. She grabbed a taxi and left for her place.

She kept aside her stuff and sat down and collected herself before taking a shower and heading out for a walk.

The weather was just right for a walk. The brown full sleeve top paired with joggers was quite comfy for a walk. The black cap made her feel secure. She walked down the park and neighborhood enjoying the weather. She hadn't walked long when she saw a little girl playing by herself. She felt a bit warm just by looking at the girl. She was about to walk on her way when something caught her attention.

Hui started to worry when he couldn't find his niece, Liling. She always give him a hard time. He called Wang Lei to help him find Liling. They had just come out to eat ice cream when she went missing.

He was losing his patience. 'Where can she go?'

Meilin watched the van which parked across the corner of the street. A man got out of the van and headed towards the direction of the girl. She looked around to find a couple of men surrounding the area. Something was not right. She took out the mask from her pocket and wore it and slowly headed in the direction of the girl.

The girl was a bit dazed. She stared at the man who had a warm smile. He was offering her an ice cream. She slowly bent down and grab a handful of soil and asked the man,"Do you wanna play with me?"

The man bent down to reach her height,"Sure. What do you wanna play?"

He had just completed his words when she threw the soil right at his eyes and started to run. The gun around his waist rose her suspicion at the very beginning. She tried to remain calm and act cautiously.

She tried her best to run with her short legs when a couple of big guys started to close in. She started to get scared and tears started to fall.

When she thought she couldn't do anything she heard the sound of punches, she turned around to see someone beating down the guys surrounding her.

The figure came in front of her and stood in a protective posture and whispered to her,"Sweetie, don't be scared. Lets find your parents. Stay strong."
