CHAPTER 1

I'm hungry, so hungry. 5 years old Claire thought. she hadn't eaten in three weeks . it's a miracle she was still alive .

" mom" she called our weakly and banged on the door " mom, I'm hungry . please let me out. mom, dad"

Tears rolled down her cheeks as she used the little energy she had left to bang the door .

" honey, it's been three weeks, please let Claire out now . she didn't do anything wrong" Claire's Mom, regina begged her husband.

Their voices were faint but Claire could still pick out the pieces

" she didn't do anything wrong??"her husband , victor scoffed " her existence alone is wrong. why couldn't you give me a son hmm? now you gave me a good for nothing daughter who can't do anything right "

" victor, what has she done wrong?!" Regina shouted " I'm sick of putting up with you . what has Claire done wrong exactly. are you sure you aren't just putting your anger of not being able to find a job on her?"

victor 's eye turned bloodshot" what did you say ?hey! that sick child is the reason I lost my job and what ?! you don't think I can put my anger on her as I please? both of you are just bad lucks "

The rest of the words were faint to Claire because she couldn't hold on anymore and slummed to the ground .

13 YEARS LATER

" grandma , I'm going to school now "

" Claire , did you take your-"

" yes, I took my inhaler. bye now .I might miss the bus at this rate "

After that incident of being trapped when she was younger, Claire had asthma .

she hurriedly rushed to the bustop and luckily was on time , she hoped in ,payed for the fee and sat down listening to a song her mother used to sing for where when she was younger .

"mom, I miss you " she muttered. she tried as much as possible to not think about that incident .

The bus stopped Infront of her school an d she hurriedly rushed out , the school bell ran and she hurried her steps as she and some other students started rushing in .

when the bell rings and the gate closed any student found outside the gate would be considered late and would be punished

Just as she was about to pass thorough the gate someone pushed her and collapsed on her . The gate closed and she and the person was left out .

" arggh" Claire said looking at her injury in her hand " hey ! why don't you look where you are going ? "

"sorry " the boy replied

"so annoying" .

one thing Claire hated was punishment because it reminded her of the punishment of 13 years ago and now because of this person she was going to get punished .

" are you okay ?" the guy asked

Claire looked at him with so much anger " get lost "

" Miss Claire and Mr Dave " a teacher called out to them " you two are late , 10 laps round the field "

" but teacher, I have asthma" Claire said

" and I have a brain enough to know that you are lying, miss Claire . get to it " the teacher said

" but I wouldn't lie about something like that "

" the more you stay here the more the laps increase to 20"

" hey, stop arguing and let's just go " Dave chipped in to Claire

" I'm not going!"Claire shouted " I said I'm not going . I have asthma , I cant run the laps " and she turned to Dave " and you , what do you know ? stop arguing ? so am I just supposed to faint on the field because someone as clumsy as you pushed me ? " she turned back to the teacher "I'm not going"
