“I don’t doubt that. And I actually knew a double-jointed acrobat once. He made for an interesting date.” Jesse glanced over his shoulder. Gideon and Emma weren’t in the doorway anymore. In fact, he couldn’t see them at all. “I suppose I should go play the proper host and mingle.”
“And here I thought the proper thing was just an act for people who got sucked in by the accent. But if you want to play host, I wouldn’t object to a tour of the house. It really is a great place.”
“It is a pretty great place.” Jesse surveyed the party again. Everything seemed to be under control. He’d give him a simple tour of the safe spaces, and return him back to the foyer, and his uncle, before either of them were missed. “I can give you a tour of the parts we’ve already worked on. The east wing is practically a death trap.”
Jonah swept his arm out with a tilt of his head. “Lead the way. I’m all yours.”
