After finding out that Nathan was an S-rank prospect, a lot of higher ranks were contacted by the guide. He notified them to be aware of Nathan's existence and send recruitment offers every so often. The World Association is the main and biggest power in the world after guilds. So they would take every chance to get a talented awakened and further the gap towards other organizations.

Angelica was proud of her son's talent but very concerned, too. Nathan could be injured or even die from being a hunter, and she had already lost him once.

"Nathan, I hope that you are careful... and please think twice before accepting people's requests." She said while driving.

People would try to connect with him and manipulate him due to being late awakened. So she was worried, Angelica was not oblivious to the scheming guilds and associations that would take advantage of her son.

"I understand," Nathan replied quickly and continued looking at his newly bought phone.

Nathan decided to check his status window as he had acquired mana.

He then pressed the mana stat, and all of his attributes popped up.

Nathan was extremely satisfied with his newly acquired abilities, but the poison attribute was still troubling him. Even the guide did not mention it...

Later on, they arrived home, and it was time for Nathan to conduct some experiments with mana. He received a special that blessed his mana, and he would use it to its limits.

He had already watched a YouTube video online on how to absorb mana. So, all he had to do was to use it in real life.

He took off all his clothes and was left with his underpants. The instructor explained that the person meditating would sweat heavily and even smell.

He sat down on his carpet and entered a cross-legged position. He then started taking deep breaths. In every breath, he would absorb some mana and then direct it to his unopened mana veins. All of his 16 mana veins were unopened, so it would be quite the process for a normal person. But Nathan was far from normal. He was blessed by mana.

2 hours of this process went by, and he managed to open 5 mana veins successfully with no guide. This was a remarkable feat, but Nathan was oblivious to this. The mana veins were used to transport the mana throughout the body, so all he could do now was to let the mana escape from his body due to him not having an established mana core.

Usually, the process of opening the mana veins could take upward to many months or a few years depending on the talent. However, Nathan almost opened 1/3 of his veins.

"Hoo, I feel energized," He thought and finally stood up. Nathan was not so flexible, so he could not maintain the cross-legged position for long.

He then completed his daily quest for some extra stat points and ate dinner alongside his sister.

"Big brother, I heard you are very strong from mom!" She said curiously.

"That's right, your big brother is a future overlord-ranked man!" He replied and giggled.

"I believe in you," she said and continued eating.

"Gosh, my new little sister is so cute and nice," Nathan thought and took a sip of his water.

Currently, only two people in the world were overlords, which was a rank above the SSS+ rank. It was the chairman of the Awakened World Association and the guild master of the biggest guild Natoma. The Natoma guild had a staggering total of 50000 guild members.

This day Nathan slept like a baby with a good dream.

1 month later...

Nathan had only a week left until he would officially start his last year of high school. He was a bit nervous but was excited about the opportunity to learn and receive various resources.

He had upgraded most of his stats over 70 and he had successfully opened his last few mana veins a week ago. He slowly accumulated a lot of mana and his mana stat was of that of a D- ranked awakened. Even tough he did not breakthrough to the D rank.

Charles had also completed the quest Nathan gave him so they both received 20 stay points in every attribute. He also unlocked the ammunition shop meaning he could buy 9mms for the Kel-Tec P11. Overall he had successfully prepared for high school and was ready to use the opportunity boosting his strength immensely.
