Chapter 5

The next morning, Marely wakes up, but Dolphin was wide awake, and hides it with sunglasses.

Marely yawns and stretches her arms and wipes her eyes.

"Oh, did I fall asleep on your lap?" Marely blushes from embarrassment.

"Yeah, but don't worry, I was able to get plenty of sleep", Dolphin told Marely.

"Okay, but why are you wearing sunglasses?" Marely wondered.

"Uh, I hate looking at the sun, when I first wake up", Dolphin lied.

"Alright, but wearing sunglasses might mess up your eyes if you wear them for too long", replied Marely.

"Of course, in fact I will wash my face, be right back", said Dolphin, then walks out of the room.

"Alright", said Marely.

Marely looks at a bird flying and says "Yeah, she totally wasn't able to fall asleep",

Dolphin walks into the bathroom, grabs a towel, and starts washing her face.

Dolphin's tail.

"Oh, come on, it's early in the morning, what emergency could be going on?" Dolphin complained.

Dolphin turns off the water, hangs the towel, and runs out of the bathroom.

Dolphin enters Marely's room and says "I'll be right back, there's an emergency".

"Wait, but what about school?" Marely asks Dolphin.

"Yeah, I already notified the principal, I'm so sorry I had to leave so abruptly I'll see you at school later", said Dolphin, then grabs her bag with her tail.

"Alright, last night was fun", said Marely.

Dolphin remembers last night, then giggles, and says "Yeah, it was".

Dolphin spreads her wings and flies off.

Marely waves with a smile.

Dolphin looks around the city with her x-ray vision and sees a woman unconscious.

Dolphin lands by the woman and sees bite marks.

"Bite marks", said Dolphin, then sniffs in the air. "And blood has been taken from her".

Dolphin puts the woman into a hospital.

"Thanks, Dolphin",said the doctor.

"Happy to help", said Dolphin, then flies away.

Dolphin looks around and finds more people with bite marks and unconsciousness, then takes them to the hospital.

But, Dolphin didn't find the person or people that could've caused this.

Since Dolphin couldn't find the enemy, she drops off her bag and runs to school.

Dolphin enters the school, heads to the principal's office, and says "I can't believe this".

Dolphin accidentally bumps into a girl who has long blonde hair, white skin, wearing a red dress and heels.

"Oh, are you okay?" The girl helps Dolphin up.

"Yeah, I'm fine, I'm sorry that I bumped into you", Dolphin apologized.

"That's okay", said The girl. "The name's Jillian, and you are?"

Dolphin starts to blush, while shaking Jillian's hand and says "My name is Dolphin, hi".

"Dolphin, are you that cool mutant that everybody is talking about?" Jillian asks Dolphin.

"Oh, i'm not that big", Dolphin giggles, while she is still blushing.

"Oh come on, you save the world and you are cute", Jillian flatters Dolphin.

"Dolphin, please come in", said the principal.

"Catch you later", said Jillian, then walks away.

"You too", Dolphin waves away.

Dolphin walks into the principal's office.

Emery is looking at her book, then looks at Dolphin and says "So, you met your new classmate?"

"Yeah, is there something wrong?" Dolphin asks Emery.

"You see Ms. Jullian has had a troubling time in school, it seems that she has a magical power that lies inside her heart, so I would like to ask you to keep her safe", Emery explained, then gives Dolphin a pass.

"I will keep a sharp eye on her, I promise", said Dolphin, then grows bunny ears and her tail is glowing.

"Great, I'm counting on you", Emery smiles.

Dolphin disappears and heads to Literature class, while heading to her class she sees Marely.

"Good to see you, Dolphin", said Marely.

"Marely, what are you doing in the hallway?" Dolphin wondered.

"Oh, painting this door", said Marely with a canvas and a paintbrush. "What do you think?"

"It's good, but it is missing something", Dolphin gives her honest opinion.

"I agree, I have it, a tea party", said Marely, then pats Dolphin's head. "Thank you".

"You are welcome", Dolphin blushed, then heads to her class. "Bye".

"See ya", said Marely, with a smile.

Dolphin opens the door to the classroom.

In the classroom, the students are writing in their notebooks,and the teacher is looking at papers.

Dolphin notices Jullian also writing in a notebook, she walks to the teacher and gives her the pass.

The teacher has short green hair, white skin, wearing a red work outfit and shoes named Alyson.

Alyson tells Dolphin that the class are working on writing stories about superheroes dealing with their love life and super life.

Dolphin walks to her desk, gets out her notebook and pencil, then writes into the notebook.

Dolphin's ear goes up, then she turns around to see Jullian.

"Hi", Jullian whispers.

"Hi again", Dolphin whispers, while blushing again.

"So, tell me as a real hero, do you have a crush on anybody?" Jullian asks in a whisper.

"Uh, maybe but I don't know if she feels the same", Dolphin admitted in a whisper.

"So, it's a she, oh how interesting", Jullian whispers with a smirk on her face.

"Oops, please don't tell anyone that, besides what's more interesting is what kind of people are after you", Dolphin whispers, then starts looking serious.

"So, Principal Emery told you about my past", Jullian whispers.

"Yes, I'll be your guardian, and by the way I saw you taking energy from that girl. So, you want to tell who you really are?" Dolphin revealed in a whisper, with a very serious look on her face.

"So, you finally caught onto me, I didn't lie about my name being Jullian, I just lied that I have people after me, it's more of me going after people. But, I have almost got caught by a hunter", Jullian admitted in a whisper.

"So, you came to take energy from more humans or you don't know how to control it", Dolphin noticed.

"So, you sense that, I guess I can't hide anything from you", Jullian giggled.

Dolphin stops Jullian with her tail, then puts magical shackles on Jullian.

"Hey, take these off", Jullian complained.

"Why, I can't have you taking energy, willy nilly besides no one can see it", said Dolphin.

"Jullian, please return to your desk, we are supposed to be working individually", said Ms. Alyson.

"Darn it, my spell weared off", Jullian groans, then walks back to her desk.

Dolphin giggles.

'Now, I have to deal with that other problem, the thing that attacked those people, wait bite marks, knocked unconscious, blood taken. Of course', Dolphin thought. 'Vampires, oh great'.

Once afternoon hits, Dolphin flies around the city and notices a person holding an umbrella wearing a Lolita outfit and shoes.

The person's name is Mercer.

"Interesting", said Dolphin.

Dolphin follows Mercer to the park.

Mercer sees Dolphin land by them.

"What do you want, mutant?" Mercer asked.

"I want to stop draining life out of the citizens living here", said Dolphin.

"And if I don't", replied Mercer.

Dolphin's tail turns into a bazooka and starts shooting garlic bombs at Mercer.

Mercer turns into a bat and sends a mind wave.

"Ha, do you honestly think you can mind control me? I'm part snake", said Dolphin.

"Who said, I wanted to mind control you?" Mercer smiles.

Dolphin sees a bunch of bats.

"Of course, all the people I sent to the hospital are vampires, should've seen that coming", said Dolphin.

The bats surround Dolphin.

"Why not blast them? They are no longer mortals", Mercer mocks Dolphin.

Dolphin's body glows and puts the bats in bubbles.

The bat turns back to their human forms, while in the bubbles.

Mercer releases a sonic scream against Dolphin.

Dolphin gives off a purple blast from her hands.

Mercer shows more of her human form and battles with Dolphin.

Mercer rips Dolphin's tail off, while pinning her down.

Dolphin flips Mercer, throws her against the ground.

Dolphin makes the ground shake, making a hand made of dirt that throws Mercer.

Mercer's wound heals easily.

Dolphin's tail grows back.

Dolphin and Mercer continue to battle.

Dolphin shocks Mercer and traps her into a cage, then destroys with a combo of the sun and garlic.

The new vampires are no longer in Mercer's control.

"So, what will you do now?" Dolphin asks the vampires.

"We are going to continue our lives", said a red-haired girl.

"But, we would appreciate your help with controlling our vampire side", said a black-haired girl, shyly.

"Of course, you need help, just call", Dolphin agrees with the vampire's terms.

The vampires thanks Dolphin.

"It's alright, no need, let's just get all of you to your homes", Dolphin smiles.

They all fly off.
