Jinhee POV
I pressed the piece of cotton wool harder into my arm to stop the bleeding.
I'd donated some of my blood to Mrs Jeon, and I was just being released from the hospital room where I'd been taken to draw my blood.
"Jinhee!" a loud screech in my ears almost caused me to go deaf.
Taehyung oppa was smiling at me cheerfully, "How do you feel? Are you okay?"
I nodded and sat down, feeling drained. Who knew drawing blood could make you so tired?
Jungkook had ceased his sobbing, thankfully, and he came over and gave me a hug.
"Thank you so much Jinhee, you saved my mom." he whispered softly.
I patted his back, feeling comfortable and somehow nervous in his arms, "It's nothing, I just did what I could."
He squeezed me a little and let go, a ghost of a cute bunny smile still lingering on his lips.
Everyone came over to check on me, I felt a bit suffocated.
"Back up! Jinhee is looking a little pale so give her some space!"
The boys obeyed obediently.
Ah...that would be Seokjin oppa.
I grinned gratefully at him and shot him a thumbs-up to signal that I was fine now.

"You may go in now, but be quiet, your mother is still in shock, you might scare her if you make sudden noises."
Jungkook was the first one in Mrs Jeon's ward, followed by the boys, who thanked the nurse.
I trailed after them, smiling at the petite nurse and closing the door behind me.
Jungkook was kneeling beside his mother, holding her hand tightly while conversing with her in soft, short sentences.
She was awake, and she looked absolutely terrified.
Her eyes were blank and dazed, staring at Jungkook with tears in her eyes.
Jungkook was trying to calm her down while restraining himself from getting angry at the same time.
Anyone would feel enraged when some stranger tried to kill their family.
When Jungkook finally managed to persuade his mother to take a rest and sleep, he stood up, smoldering with fury.
Jimin oppa patted his back sympathetically, attempting to steer him out of the room, but Jungkook shook his hand off and stormed outside, leaving the door wide open.
Doctors and patients gawked at him, too scared to say anything against him disturbing others who were resting.
I was out of the room before I could comprehend what I was doing, vaguely catching a, "Let him go, he needs to be alone with her now."
I ran after Jungkook, yanking open the glass doors and chasing him all the way back to his house.
I was wheezing by the time I caught up to him, while he just jerked his front door open and went upstairs.
He unlocked a door and stepped inside, almost immediately heading for a skinny-looking man who was tied rather painfully to a chair.
It was clear that the man had been trying to find ways to escape, only to find his efforts useless.
Jungkook stomped right up to him and started punching him in the face while yelling, "You hurt my mother! You'll pay for that! Who are you? Who do you really work for?!"
The man cried out in agony, a sign that Jungkook's punches were really hurtful.
Before I could stop myself, I'd lunged towards them and stopped Jungkook from throwing another punch to the man's already bloody face.
"Jungkook stop!"
He whipped around and glared at me furiously, "You pity him?! He was the one who attacked Omma! He deserves to die!"
"Killing him won't do you any good, you'll lose your only clue to finding out who planned this attack, and also, you'll get arrested for murder. Do you really want to spend your time in jail while the real criminal is out there? And when your mom is still in the hospital?"
Jungkook stood his ground, returning my stern expression with a very frightening look indeed.
Uneven lips curled upwards and downwards to form a half-snarl.
I didn't waver, his mind wasn't in the best condition now, so I was determined to put him back on the right track, even if I had to clobber him over the head to do so.
He finally released the man from his grip and turned on his heel, stalking out the room.
I wasn't particularly sorry for the man, who now sported multiple dark-coloured bruises and was suffering from what looked like a broken nose and a few missing teeth.
He looked terrible, but I had no sympathy for him.
I delivered a well-aimed karate chop to his neck, and his head lolled downwards, unconscious.
I retraced my steps back to the living room, where Jungkook was pacing up and down restlessly.
He didn't notice me.
I placed a hand on his lower back, drawing a startled squeak from him and dragged him by the shirt to the kitchen with him protesting indignantly.
I grabbed a cup and poured him some water, "You need to calm down. Drink."
He reluctantly gulped down some of the liquid, which thankfully did the job of dissipating his anger, if not for a while.
