"Thank you for giving me a chance to speak, my lady," he bows. He sighs before explaining, "We are not after you. We are here looking for—"
"Is that so?" she asks, lowering her bow. At the same time, the nine purple tails behind her dissipate like mirages. "I thought you guys were bounty hunters—the kind of people I personally hate. That's why I left the Ring."
Zuriel's eyebrows were like two opposing chickens in a derby as he finds this odd. It "is" a little bit odd that she instantly trusts us. Maybe she read our minds. Yeah, maybe that's it.
"Ah!" I yell out as something moist touches the back of my calf. I discover that it is a fox with nine tails. It cutely barks at me as it retreats after I scared it.
"That's Naomi," she says with a smile on her face. "Isn't she cute?"
Naomi jumps on her and she couldn't help but catch her with her arms. She treats the fox like a baby.
"I'm Rainhaven," she says. "You?"
